Went there with the kids to see the lego displays . Was well organised, large undercover area, not to crowded and free parking that day.

Great venue and from what I'm hearing, only poised to get better. The new ceo has a vision and concept to make Thoroughbred Park a fantastic and multi faceted venue and its very exciting. While now, still a great place to enjoy and experience.

At the Thoroughbred Park, a special event is on today, the 3rd of March, the Canberra Festival of Speed.

The first time held at the Thoroughbred Park, and also for Canberra, a wonderful 😀 festival to see all the car ???- 😀, like a Porches, BMW'S, Ford's, Ferraris and many more 😀 cars.

The festival organisers made a special track to run the speed car ???- on.
Sponsors by car sales yards and by the owners of the speed 😳 cars ???- 😳.

Many business owners sponsor the Canberra Festival of Speed, and some of them supplied food 😋 😀 ??'? for the people.

I 😀 hope that 🙏 will be next year too 🙏.

First Festival of Speed and it was great. There is room for improvement, but everyone I spoke to, said at least it is something.
The space needs a drag racing track of double the length at least because on the current straight cars can barely get to some high speed before breaking again.
The high fence on the outside of the track was ridiculous. Why? When the inside track was low.
Why was it not planned to have a proper view of the track? Outside hills so you can see the cars go around the track rather than 2 seconds flash past.
Where is the speed indicator? At 100m what was each cars speed? Have electronic boards flash these up.
But it was a great experience and we learn through our first trail. The food vans were great, maybe add more food to the inside tracks.
The attentiveness to rubbish was great. But does the recycling really get recycled? Could you have a third bin next year for 10c things and donate this to charity?
Another highlight from other experiences were the burnout arena.

We had a function in the Silks room. 3 course lunch was really good. View of the track was great right on the finishing post.
The track itself was in great condition considering all the rain we had had in the days before.

As a venue for an indoor event not great, as a racecourse I'm sure it does its job well.

Don't let Gammacon come here again.

View was great. Thats where it gets two stars. On arriving, there was no ventilation or open windows to be seen, although all glass. With covid lurking, not good enough. Expensive for what we got but that could have been our function organisers. Waiting staff were sloppily dressed and when clearing, a bunch of stacked plates put in front of us and asked to reach for another plate. When we asked if there were any more bread rolls, we were just told you ate them all. We were hungry by this stage! Our function was a presentation night and all dressed up. Be pretty upset if it was a wedding! Luckily l dont have to go back.

The weather spoilt what could have been a brilliant Melbourne Cup day. Did like the place though. Drinks a bit pricey but a fun day was had.

I purchased tickets to The Stalls for yesterdays Melbourne Cup.
Unfortunately the experience was really disappointing, arrived at 11am for the stalls opening at 11:30am, the weather was not great but to find the stalls was set up on the grass without any flooring was horrible, boots were sinking in the mud and high heels could hardly walk through, the TAB blocked off an area into the marquee which would of been much more suited as an entrance and therefore had no way to get into the marquee without walking around and through the mud, once inside at 11:30am went to get a drink (supposed to be included drinks package) was told drinks tab doesn't start until 12 so had to purchase drinks which was additional expense to the ticket cost, then we received a "hamper" which was a grazing box upon opening appeared to be half frozen, the chicken was cold and baked potato's cold and hard, there was cheese without any crackers or biscuits to eat with, there was a large floured baguette which was hard, we needed to use our fingers to rip the bread up to dip into the dips and eat with the cheese and flour went all over us. There was hardly any drinks selection so I ended up going out of the stalls and buying a drink for $12.50. Then our table we had allocated was out in the rain on the muddy ground which was pointless and could not be used so we had to squash on a bar table and eat the grazing box with our fingers. It was also freezing cold in the marquee a few outdoor heaters in the marquee would of been great.
Looking over at the Greece Monkey marquee it felt like hardly any difference disappointing considering the $195 per person cost for The Stalls... not an enjoyable experience.

My first time at the races was at Thoroughbred Park and the experience was phenomenal!

The venue is vast with different viewing areas of the field. I couldn't believe how close you're able to get to the horses! The Winner's Circle puts you an arm's-length away from the action as the horses are paraded right in front of you!

You can also see them in their stables behind the scenes. I was lucky enough to be invited behind the gate to pat one of them!

The races are free to attend and food and beverages are high quality and well-priced. The service is top-notch with a super-friendly and attentive staff. They specialise in providing services for private functions as well so this would be a great place to host your meeting, reception, or holiday party!

Winning at Thoroughbred Park!!

Attended the inaugural Good Friday race meeting with my wife and friends. We purchased a ticket to the luncheon in the Silk Room which included drinks for the afternoon. Everybody in the room had a great time and we met some wonderful people. Thoroughly recommend this venue.

Great track. Plenty of seating in the members stand. Lots of grass area for the punters. Catering. TAB. Bookies. Stables. Plenty of food/grog tents, a bar, stables and everything else you would expect at the track. Black Opal Stakes is the biggest day out followed by Melbourne Cup Day and Students day. Giddy Up!
