Tasty crunchy potato fries and beautiful Burrata dish.

Light pleasant surrounds. We chose roast of the day which was beautiful. Vegetables were done to perfection, just enough gravy and crackling as well. Beautiful filling meal and great service.

This place is in the top 3 best hotels in SA. Did some work there then stayed for lunch. Great service, thanks Scarlett and Talia. Beautiful food, thanks Matthew, Steven and Dylan. This place is obviously managed very well and staff are happy, I just love the ambience throughout the whole hotel.

Went here for a post-boardgame day meal with friends and it was pretty good. I got myself the steak special for $38 and it was good for the price. The sauce and salad were solid and the chips were great. Ben out of 10 would recommend!

What a wonderful experience we had today everything that we ate was superb, my choice of lamb shoulder roast the best I have ever had. The desert of pannacotta with rubarb and raspberries also perfect. My fellow diners had pork belly and salt and pepper squid both of which were also excellent. Great care was taken with presentation. When I asked for a slight change to vegetables there was no issue. As a bonus and a special treat we were given freshly baked Anzac biscuits which were also perfect. The staff were so professional and friendly. This was our second time at the hotel and on both occasions everything was fabulous. Great place to take visitors. Thank you.

If anything it's the girls who work there, plus it's my local pub and the staff are very friendly and sociable. When they get to know you, they always know what you have & it's all good ??'? ??'?

Lovely meals. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Clean amenities. Nice to have a hotel located in the main street. I like the feel of it all.

Usually a great spot for a casual meal, however avoid the sharing menu - cremated croquettes, onion rings dripping in fat with more batter than onion and tasteless sliders.
Stick to the schnitzel- the chicken and beef are good.

Nice dining atmosphere. Staff very polite. Had the scallop special. Rather disappointed. Too many flavours competing with each other. I wasn't expecting such an overpowering mix n match of flavours. I will try a more classic dish next time.

Good atmosphere with tables spaced far apart so it wasn't overly noisy. All in our party liked the meals, which were generous portions and priced between $27 to $38. I had the roast lamb and vegetables on the specials menu.

Food was very nice, but service was quite slow. Even though they were very busy, it should not have taken more than 60 minutes to receive the main course.

Family father's day get together for 16 people. Food was delicious and nutritious with good size servings.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit for lunch! The staff were lovely (unfortunately we had a discrepancy with the wine pricing with one staff member...hence the 4 star rating... don't tell us the price you think it is before ringing it up then surprising us with a $10 difference) and the food was well received in a timely manner that reflected the amount of patrons for a Sunday afternoon ?

Not great to be honest. Made a booking and paid a similar bill that we would at a decent restaurant, which stings a bit with a gaming room next door.

50min wait on two Parmi's, which would have been fine if we were given the heads up when ordering. Non-enthused staff, which is also understandable at times. We were given a bit of attitude when we mentioned the wait time, and a very lacklustre sorry afterwards. The meals were sizeable but average quality.

We booked a table in the previous week for twenty for a Sunday evening. We arrived a little earlier than anticipated, but all had been prepared for us.

Bar staff were wonderful. Our orders were taken efficiently and the meals came out promptly. There was one minor mix-up with one persons meal, but this was remedied readily and without any fuss.

The meals themselves were great. Tasty, hot and made with fresh ingredients.

This pub is well worth a visit if you are in Mt. Barker.

Great customer service both times. The staff are friendly. Colouring in stuff for the kids. Wheel chair accessible. They've done a really good job with the place. Modern and comfortable fit out with some attention to detail I noticed with acoustic treatment built in to help control the noise of a room full of people chatting. Nice touch! It's definitely high on our list of places to eat when we want a good value pub meal.

Helpful friendly bistro staff. Tasty Gluten free options available and allergies taken seriously and accommodated. Nice fresh food and yes we will dine here again. Indoor and outdoor dinning options.

Absolutely great service by the bar staff, the guy who served us had his wrist in a cast and still working extremely well and taking the time to train new staff very polite, professional and super helpful and then the food all I can say is wow we had the garlic bread, cauliflower with white bean puree and a delicious green salad, we were also lucky enough to be surprised by the chef with a truly delicious starter to try which we absolutely loved, a chickpea pancake with a white bean hummus with apricots,nuts and fresh mint WOW hope it goes on the menu
Thanks barker staff for the great service and delicious meal we had we shall see you in another fortnight.

It was a beautiful day just right for lunch at the Mt Barker Hotel. A lovely happy girl took us to our table. It was schnitzel day. $19 with chips and salad and your choice of sauces. Mine tasted just like a roast chicken. Delicious. Panko crumbed so lovely and crunchy. The chips crisp and hot. My only gripe was the disgusting salad dressing. It tasted like cooking oil mixed with something sour. I couldn't eat it. It was vile.
So all told a lovely day. Except for one server who must be on a bad day. No smile, no easy banter.

This is one of our favourite places. If you are looking for amazing food, atmosphere and amazing customer service.
I highly recommend this place.
Our mums group came here regularly with prams and all and they were so accommodating for us.

Just had a wonderful lunch with close family, possibly the best hotel meals I've had ever.
Steaks, lamb roast, chicken parmigiana, Blue Grenadier, all delicious.

Lovely refreshed exterior housing a nice clean interior setting for diners and the likes.

They housed us for a 50th birthday dinner with 3 long tables, and a set menu for us which still had amazing variety.

Our meals were fast, cooked incredibly well and delivered by friendly staff. Everyone I asked really enjoyed their meals.

Went today Saturday 3rd April. Waitress who was very very rude said there was a surcharge for Easter. When has Easter Saturday been a public holiday When we all said there was no public holiday today she became even more rude. So we decided to leave. Way to go waitress in these covid-19 times when tourism is much needed. You missed out on 4 people ready to buy lunch!! Would never return & will recommend my friends & family don't either. By the way we went up the road to Greys Inn for lunch. Well worth it & didn't charge a surcharge!!

Great pub in the heart of Mt Barker. Friendly service. Food was supplied extremely quickly and was of good quality (I had hamburger w gluten free bun). Staff v friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel... good location... lots of parking but nothing under cover. Standard menu items and a daily chefs specials... nice and tasty, but standard. One or two fancy items would be nice to have.

Clean and tidy. Efficient service.
