We recently caught the train from Strathalbyn to Mount Barker, with only a 1 hour window for lunch before we returned. I booked a table and pre ordered our meals a couple of days before to save time. I rang 20 odd minutes before we arrived and as we sat at our table, our delicious hot meals were placed in front of us. Thankyou to the wonderful staff who helped us to get in and out so quickly! Highly recommended ??'? (and our meals were lovely)

Daughter took hubby and I out for dinner tonight here at Grays Inn. Had never been before. It was a beautiful old pub with a 35 foot well right at the bar( apparently there is 3 within the pub).
Decor is tasteful and warm , with wood fires making it so cozy and warm.
Absolutely top marks for service. We were served both drinks and food at our table. We didn't have to move it was awesome. Old fashioned service and the lovely gentleman named Jock was our host/ waiter for the night and he was just wonderful. An absolute credit to the pub as he was so welcoming and friendly, cracking jokes and just entertaining us . It made the whole experience a fabulous one. The food was so nice and lovely big sized portions and very reasonably priced. I had a gorgeous house made apple crumble for dessert and it was huge .Served with vanilla Icecream and raspberry couli it was to die for. All in All our experience tonight was one of the best pub ones we have had in a while. Highly recommended Grays Inn. Can't wait to go back with rest of the Family. Have a feeling this will definitely be a regular haunt now for us.

It's been 34 years since I worked here, so I was very keen to pop in for lunch whilst visiting my home town. We had a lovely meal and the staff were friendly.

The food was delicious. Thoroughly recommend the slow cooked pie. My husband had the bangers and mash which he enjoyed too. Friendly service in pleasant surroundings.

We were at Grays Inn on Sunday for our siblings Christmas lunch.. We had fantastic service and food. The young girl who was serving our table had a great sense of humour and great banter with us. She made our day the best outing in a long time. I would highly recommend to eat there anytime.

Had a Sportsman's night function there. The staff were super friendly and the service great. The beer was icy cold. I am coming back!

Just there for Sunday lunch. Wife and I both had the roast of the day (pork) which was nice and a good portion size too even with a bit of crackling. Fast and friendly service. Well done!

Lovely friendly service meal great value great prices came out hot and tasty only one small fault husband asking medium rare for steak but was more like well done but he still enjoyed the tenderness of the steak and taste ..

The girl on a night shift chubby with tattoos on her arm , are worst customer service i ever encounter, lock of training ,rude and has a attitude ,everytime she was there I don't come in any more when she was there and she was laughing everytime she seen me walking off.The rest of the staff are friendly except her.

Just another pub with workers enjoying an ale after the working week. It has member prices and non-member prices. Has a great range of draught beers. Unfortunately we were there when there was some very loud, boisterous clientele. We quietly snuck out to eat elsewhere.

Only stopped in for a quick drink before visiting the steam train but friendly service and soft drinks were well priced.

We had some time to spare between appointments, so went to the inn for coffee, always friendly staff, clean ,spacious, we have been there for meals in the past, the quality of food is great , the ambiance in the dining area is relaxing.

I enjoyed my visit here recently with a friend for dinner. I hadnt been here since it changed from Cafe Primo. I much prefer it as it is now. I ordered a burger and it was delicious. It was served with hot chips and l ordered a side of gravy. The staff were friendly and professional. The pub had a nice feel about it, it was nice and calm. Our meals were delivered quickly to our table. Good menu range with reasonable prices. There is a drive thru bottle shop attached to the side of the pub, front bar, pokies room and the restaurant dining area. There is some free onsite parking at the front and rear of the hotel and some free parking on the other side of the side street. There is wheelchair access at the rear.

We were greeted very well considering we arrived 5 minutes before closing time. The meals were exvellent and the bread rolls hot.

This one of our favourite pubs when visiting Mt Barker. The food is always nice and freshly cooked and the service is great. On our last two visits there has been a lovely log fire going which has added to the atmosphere for a long enjoyable lunch.
