Service absolutely excellent the young woman was sincere an welcoming i asked her which sauce she would recommend she said the Diane sauce is really good which i had with my meal an the best it was the meal was sensational plenty of veg which I lov thank you Sugarland Tavern dinner was delicious

Massive meals, great value and super yummy.

Also best vodka pines I\'ve had in a pub in so long.

Burnett Senior Citizens had their Christmas Luncheon there today and wow what a fantastic day the service and staff were amazing they catered for our 103 members and guest\'s, all meals were served in a short time we were well looked after.
A huge Thank you to all staff there today for everything you did to make our day special for everyone who attended.❤️

Last night I went for an early dinner with my parents at Sugarland Tavern, arriving just after 5pm. The dining area was fairly empty and we placed our orders straight away. After we\'d been waiting a while I looked over to the serving area wondering what was taking so long. I saw 2 meals sitting there ready to go and was hoping they were ours and they were just waiting on the 3rd meal. I watched as more meals came out and were served to other tables, and those 2 meals remained sitting there. After another half hour watching everyone who arrived after us receiving their meals we asked one of the waitstaff what was happening with our meal. I watched him go up, talk to the kitchen staff, pick up a couple of plates and serve another table. He went back to the serving area, spoke to another staff member who picked up the 2 plates I\'d first noticed sitting there over 30 minutes before, and brought them over to our table. I commented on how long they\'d been sitting there, so my parents checked and of course both meals were stone cold. The waitress returned them to the kitchen. She came back and said the chef had agreed to refund those 2 meals but he wasn\'t going to make them again and they couldn\'t re-order. She looked surprised when I asked if I could get a refund for my meal too as it hadn\'t yet arrived. We ended up being refunded for all 3 meals before leaving and having a wonderful meal and evening at a different club.

Soooo.... this is what businesses need to understand. It\'s not only about your product, it\'s about your staff. Amongst other things like cleanliness and how you feel being there.

Everyone of your staff communicates in their actions and demeanour. The Sugarland Tavern staff take pride in what they do and it shows. While I was being served at the bar, 2 others asked if I was being served. This was each time I went up to get a drink. One young staff member was making sure everything was well stocked and not standing around. Well done !

The kitchen staff were also attentive. Jenny greeted us with a smile and asked where we would like to sit, directed us to menus, and guided us with what we\'d like to order. The staff worked as a team and helped each other. Hannah was one of those who complimented her team with offering to help when others were busy. She wiped over the salt and pepper and everything on the table after each sitting.
During our time there, Jenny came and spoke to us and ensured everything was ok. She took the time to speak and connect with us. She alone is such an asset to this business.

The food was fantastic. $18 for a perfectly cooked steak, sauce, chips, and salad with a really nice dressing. The Kiwi Savignon Blanc topped it off nicely. The steak sandwich was beautiful and not skimped.

Well done, guys ! You nailed it. Every one of you ! Even had live music ! Very impressive!
