We went for lunch at the formal dining room. It was just by chance that we decided to give it a go, but we were pleasantly surprised with food, service, and wines. The menu has some unique options in addition to the classic pub items, which we did try and highly recommend. Will definitely come back for more.

Had a beautiful lunch on Sunday 15h December. We were looked after by the lovely Rosie (Rose) - it really makes a difference when you have good people working for you. Well done team and in particular Rosie!

Sorry for a bit of a delayed review. My cousin had his 21st birthday dinner at The Stirling in 'The Library' back in September and it was a wonderful night. The food was excellent and Cathryn was amazing and accommodating for my particular dietary requirements. And the atmosphere of The venue is very nice too.

Great food , wonderful accomodating staff. My husband is in a wheelchair and the staff assisted with ramps etc inside. Great service with the cake and candles I bought from home, flat fee of $20 for extra plates cutlery , they bought the cake over to us with candles and lit them etc I was very impressed. We changed our booked seating from inside to outside and the staff reset the table and turned on the heaters for us nothing was too much trouble. Overall great luncheon!!.

Beautiful setting, great location and service was good as always.
The sun was shining so it was perfect.
We have eaten there before and have always had great meals until now.
I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel Parmigiana as I've done 4 times previously and enjoyed it. Unfortunately this time it was on the dry side and stringy, it didn't look over cooked.
The chips were more like fries with some skin still left on, they were not very nice at all.
The salad had 2 tiny pieces of red onion and 1 Cherry tomato cut in half with a huge amount of rocket with no dressing at all. I usually enjoy my meal there, not this time.
My father in law didn't eat his salad or fries either but on a positive note his fish was lovely.
My partner ordered the Seafood pasta and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Not sure why the quality of the meal was dramatically different compared to other visits but we were very disappointed.
It was my 60th birthday lunch with my 98 year old father in law, let's hope our next meal we share there is back to their usual high standards.
Very disappointed this time.
