Cannot fault this venue! We love that the kids can have lots of fun in the play room, meals are quick even when busy, you get great deals as a member and staff always have the biggest smiles and ensure you have the best experience. Thanks Jeremy and Tori for creating such a beautiful environment for the locals to enjoy!
We even had a party recently and it was so easy to organise, staff were friendly which helped the night be enjoyable!

Consistently good food, with super friendly and helpful staff. Laid back atmosphere where you can be comfortable and not worry about getting rushed off your table to make way for others.

There was no table service, we had to order our drinks, pay and pick up at the bar, then we had to go order our food, get water.. basically a self service restaurant which I don't care for.
I ordered my steak medium well but it was delivered medium rare. The chicken parmigiana was too sweet (who puts sugar on chicken anyway!)
Salads were alright.
Place got busy and loud around 7 pm.

Stopped for lunch and had the burger. Absolutely lovely. Loved the large pickles and the burger was massive.

My wife and I spent a couple of nights down in Sale recently and had a great evening meal at the Star Hotel. Very pleasant staff, meal tasted great and was served promptly. Will go again!

We booked a family booth, which was lovely. The meals were very generous in size and the service was very good. Complimentary rolls and butter provided. A tip - you can get discounts for being a member, but you need to sign up 24 hours beforehand.

We come to the star often so thought I'd better leave a review. Great family pub. The kids play area has recently been revamped and my only complaint is that my daughter has so much fun in there it's hard to prise her out to get her to eat her meal. Food is consistently good, and with members prices and kids eat free on Monday, great value as well!

I have been traveling to Sale since June 2017. I always go to the Star every time I am in Sale. Recently I got in the habit of only going to the bar. I call it the Star Bar. But the menu is limited there. I have rediscovered the restaurant. Food is fabulous.

Absolutely Delicious. Good portion for a fair price. Chicken Parma was great and chicken schnitzel was awesome with seafood sauce on it. Had the best cheesecake in the town. Atmosphere was amazing with a friendly staff. Highly recommended

Awesome place to grab a beverage and a meal and meet up with mates. Major shout out to Jeremy and Kinah incredible all-arounders and providing that helpful and respectful customer service the Star is known for.

We had a delicious lunch there on a weekend. The meal was excellent and very filling and we also got a complimentary lunchtime drink with our meal. The staff were very polite and helpful. The Bistro was very tidy and clean and there was also a kid's play area.

I had eggs Benedict. My husband had steak sandwich. Grandson had chicken parmigiana. We thoroughly enjoyed all if our meals.
The service was quick. The staff found us somewhere to sit without a booking.
I have no doubt we will be back next visit to Sale

Awesome play area for kids. Meals were average. They weren't terrible but they weren't good. They definitely didn't match the price being paid. I'd give it one more try before riding it off as nothing more than 'the place to go if someone in the party has children that need to be entertained'.

Such a wonderful place to get a mea. Lovely vegan options and they even have nuttelex for us.
The staff are very friendly and super gorgeous.

We ordered Roast Pork and Steak sandwich.
Chips were hot with steak sandwich, the steak, bacon And egg were cold. Vegies with roast were warm and the pork almost cold.
We got in before the 2 big groups surrounding us ordered.
If it wasn't busy would have taken it back.
Unfortunate, everything else was fine.

Bistro/restaurant a little bit sneaky to find but absolutely worth asking directions from the bar. Singapore noodles with BBQ pork was incredible and exceeded my expectations

Great seniors meal. Nice size without being put off by too much food on the plate. Beef cheeks were melt in your mouth delicious, but be early if you want the roast.

Rooms are refurbished. Nice bathroom. Heater works well but it's takes a little bit to warm up the room in winter because it is big one glass layer window. Breakfast is good and enough. Like to come back again.

The only thing positive i can say is that the beer tasted fine, but for $9.00 a schooner it would want too. The steak that i ordered last night was supposed to be a 300g porterhouse cooked med. with pepper sauce on the side, and actually what i got was about 180g of rare steak and 150g of fat and gristle covered with the pepper gravy. 🤬
Won't be going there again.

Very nice staff especially Elisha who made us come back a second night and remembered us and what we drank. Food was excellent. Covid rules in place but a bit lax in enforcing them at times when they got busy.

Meal was really nice and everyone else's looked tempting. Staff very polite. Might be a little loud inside and found chatting difficult.

The beef cheek is so tender the meat just fall apart on the fork. The risotto is also delicious. It was not our first choice restaurant based on the reviews we read, but now this restaurant is highly recommended. The staff were friendly even though the restaurant was packed, explaining the long wait for the food. Thanks guys. You made our day.

Been there twice in the span of a few days and both have been very nice. Staff are very friendly and service was great. Really loved the meals.The kitchen seemed very lively which added to the atmosphere10/10 would recommend if you dont mind a bit of noise

Had a roast for fathers day. It wasn't very nice the lamb was chewy and everything else was cold. What a let down.
