Had a nice lunch here with one of my daughters today. We were greeted by a very bright and happy staff member who seated us at our table. Then came back over and gave us coasters for our \"beatiful drinks\". We ordered our food and wait about 15-20 minutes for it to come out. My daughter liked her burger and chips. The steak n veg I ordered was nice although a bit to charred for my liking. Other than that a lovely atmosphere near the fire.

Service was quick but the food was not great. Crumbed steak was downgrade meat (a sour taste), the mash was fresh out of the box and the veges were frozen. Would not recommend. Waste of $100. The parmy was alright. The chips were the highlight.

Cafe Inferno was a fantastic choice for our family's Saturday morning catch up after travelling from a few different QLD towns.

Excellent service by JP (our waiter), good choice of food and friendly atmosphere. JP really enhanced our overall experience at this cafe due to his attention to detail to our strict dietary requirements, helpful suggestions and friendly personality. The food and drinks were good value. Great prices for members too.

Highly recommend for a relaxed cafe experience, great service and a good variety of food options. Really good coffee and cake options too. We'll definitely go back in the future. Thank you.

Visited on Mother's Day for dinner and overall had a mixed experience.

Firstly, a huge thank you to Gabriel who looked after our table. He was genuinely fantastic - polite, efficient, attentive, and incredibly professional throughout the night. One of our meals needed to be specially prepared and he handled the request perfectly, taking the time to clarify everything properly and then following up once the food arrived to make sure it was right. The food itself was also great and came out surprisingly quickly considering how busy the venue was. Gabriel absolutely stood out and deserves recognition for the level of service he provided.

Unfortunately, the experience at the bar and games room was disappointing and noticeably below the standard set by the restaurant staff. Multiple people from our table experienced long waits without even being acknowledged despite staff standing nearby and no one actively being served. There was very little engagement, greeting, or basic customer service.

The interaction at the games counter in particular felt very cold and dismissive. I waited at the counter while the staff member continued looking down without acknowledging me, and the overall interaction made it feel as though serving customers was an inconvenience rather than part of the role.

Overall, the night was saved by the quality of the food and the exceptional service from Gabriel, but there are clearly some consistency issues across different areas of the venue.

Incredible Food and Outstanding Service!
We had an absolutely fantastic lunch at the Southern hotel today. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and incredible hospitality. A special shoutout to JP at the front of house who was so accommodating and made sure our experience was perfect from the start.

Every dish we ordered was superb! The quality of the food is top-notch, and you can tell the chefs put a lot of care into every plate. What really impressed us was the value - it\'s truly bang for your buck. You get amazing, high-quality food without breaking the bank.

The entire staff was friendly and attentive, contributing to a wonderful atmosphere. The service was outstanding all around. We left feeling happy and completely satisfied. We\'ll definitely be back and will be recommending the Southern hotel to everyone!
