Had my son's 18th birthday party for 30 people. The best night ever! Plenty of food and was delicious. No one left hungry. The drinks were very nice. The atmosphere was fantastic and brought the exact vibe for a party. The staff were amazing and looked after us all night. Recommend to all!

Great find in the center of CBD or at least closer to all corporates. Well laid out with ample seating and quick friendly service. Their weekly specials are great we love the $1 Chicken Wing Wednesdays and $6 Taco Tuesdays... Happy Hours from 5pm onwards are a bonus.

I love this restaurant! I'm from California originally, so I'm always on the lookout in Sydney for authentic Mexican food and drinks. The food here is great, but I do really enjoy the margaritas. Get a pitcher for yourself or share with friends. The patio is nicely decorated and super cozy. Great place for a few drinks and tacos!

A Jug of margarita?! A WHOLE JUG?! That gets served with salt lined glasses?! Heck yes!
Three people - one jug, almost 6 full glasses of margaritas (math is mathing in the best way since a glass of it you pay $20 bucks).

Absolutely ??'? good quality margaritas. Recommend the jug for value if you're going to share with one or two others.

Came here for a monday bevvie on margarita monday. Ordered some beef and chicken tacos with churros for dessert. The chicken taco was nice and flavourful, the beef wasn't too special (lacked flavour) and the curros were a little dry and way too sugary. Service was quite slow, which was a bit odd considering how slow the venue was. Good location, good looking venue (like all other Merivale venues), but it lacked in comparison to other Merivale venues. Okay experience.

Amazing food. Delicious, great variety for meat eaters & vegetarians. Ordering via QR code makes going in a group and paying separately so easy. We all had different cocktails & tasted each other's - everyone enjoyed them. Couldn't fault a thing - apart from my 3 colleagues being asked for ID (as they're hip young things) and me just getting a nod from the bouncer because there's no mistaking me for being over legal drinking age. ???Definitely coming back again!

It was great food and the servers. We found the place outside later when we were going out. We should have had a seat out there! It was the day Martilas had a game and we had a half discount on drinks :)

Stopped here for a late lunch ... service was bad and slow. Only 1 server (staff) at that time and she always away from the counter. Waited for more than 15 mins to get my order to get sorted.

Small Tacos size and the taste just so-so for the price you pay. Frozen margarita was nice though.

Nice bright and open location for a work lunch with a big group. The DIY steak tacos (8 tacos) was a fun shared eating experience with thick juicy pieces of steak and an assortment of toppings. The chicken wings were nice and crispy too ?? Tacos plus wings was a good amount of food for 2.

Lovely funky vibe and staff are super friendly. Plenty indoor and outdoor seating. Tacos are simply irresistible. Love the drinks and cocktails. Highly recommended.

Lively decor that attracted us in, came on a Tuesday and had the tacos promotions. Tacos are GREAT, and to go along with a late Arvo cocktail.

It's a great venue, the beer garden is a nice oasis on a sunny day, a great place for a drink.

Vegetarian rating: the cauliflower taco is maybe a 2/5, closer to a 1.5. This was the only veggie taco, so I'd stick with the fries or nachos next time. So that brought down the rating. Judging from the meat eaters food reaction their tacos are at a solid 3/5.

Please, el loco, hire a vegetarian consultant from Newtown and fix your veggie taco.

This place is amazing...I'm not one for spice but we all thoroughly enjoyed it...visited 3 times in 3 days whilst here on holidays from ballarat. Great atmosphere, friendly staff .Highly recommend.

Nice venue, the downstairs has an outdoor setting and was great for our Christmas party. The food was also great, however a bit more on the spicy side. Drinks were definitely on the more expensive side, however it was a Monday night so that may have something to do with it.

The 3 for $24 taco's were really great, they did have a good range of vegetarian and fish options.

The tacos are so so tasty & the fillings are loaded. The beef brisket taco was so tender, and the tempura barramundi one is crunchy! Fun vibe, nice staffs, they have plenty of indoor & outdoor seatings, and plenty of drinks on the menu! Love the QR code ordering from the table, very convenient & easy when dine in with a group. However the soft drink was a little pricier than average.

Wednesday night special is the taco deaL for $25 . What a great meal, loved the flavours and the steak was really good.

Cute Mexican cafe, we ordered using the QR code, which pays and orders the food, no waitress req'd!
We lucked out $1chicken wings. A jug of margarita and we were sorted.
The food was OK, tip option on the payment, we didn't tip cause, we hadn't received service yet.
We ended up with no service... No cutlery, no napkins. No waitress to give service.... That was disappointing as they didn't even greet us as we sat. Seems we were invisible! Did they expect us to pay for service before we recd it? That doesn't work for me...ill pay when I receive it.

Great on a Tuesday night with $5 tacos and a good tap range all $7 pints from 5-7. Tacos were fine but guac and chips was great and don't miss the churros! Make sure you get dulche de leche sauce though

Pleasantly surprised with the food here. Much better menu than I was expecting. The customer service was above average as well.

Have a reposado tequila or three with a nice pint of tap beer. The coffee marinated steak is exceptional.

Tacos are okay, the secret one and the fish are quite nice and they aren't skimpy on the fillings! Beef one was a bit soggy and flavourless. At 3 for $20 (normally $7 each), it's not really value for size.

Pretty empty for lunch so you think the staff would have had time to clear the food off the menu. The same approach must apply in the kitchen because the food was aweful and the mayo had a crust, must have been there since the morning. Can't see how hard it is to squeeze fresh sauce into a jar. In times when businesses are desperate, you think they would have a bit more care factor!

Atmosphere & Music is fantastic. Food was much spicier than what could be grasped by ordering off the menu with no option to choose how hot. We had 2-3 people on our table who couldn't eat their dishes because they weren't expecting really spicy food. Our experience would have been nicer if the menu had more indication of how hot the meals would be. The kitchen staff were lovely and arranged other food for where it was needed.

The Dos Equis was good but it's unlikely I'll come back.

I can't remember the last time I had such a bland quesadilla. The accompanying dipping sauce was spicy and masked the blandness but the only distinctive taste in the quesadilla itself was from the soft corn tortilla.

The cheese had the right consistency but no taste, akin to supermarket shredded mozzarella: great in a cheese mix for texture but not on its own. I felt they'd be better off with your plain supermarket branded cheddar. Even the chorizo was bland, which was perplexing.

The service wasn't great either, with the staff taking its time to come and talk to you at the counter despite the place being fairly empty at 6pm ish on a Monday. I was amused noticing I caught their eye while one person was giving another some instructions and they both chose to continue their conversation before finally coming to take my order.

Conveniently located 2 min away from Pyrmont Bay light rail station. Foods are delicious, halal and you can eat by hand. People are so friendly. There is buffet, eat as much as you can at the cost you want to pay. What a good deal!
