Lovely little pub. Absolutely perfect location right by the free rest stop. Only regret is the average servo dinner I got on my way into Nobby - so didn't get to try the food here. Looked amazing though.

Gail and other staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Recommend the Rudd's lager. 😊

Six out of five for atmosphere. Just a little old pub with plenty of old stuff hanging in the bar room. A good spot to stop and wet your whistle on a hot day.

Great little country pub.

Food proportions were very large and definitely great for the value. Service was a little slow at the time I went there, but staff were short so no big issue.

Great atmosphere with lots of memorabilia to look at on all the walls around you.

The most wonderful food on the planet is served here.
The steaks are cooked to perfection and are absolutely delicious😋.
The portion size is very large. I have been to this place multiple times despite the long drive to get there.

Meals are very generous, we had the Parmigiana and flathead tempora both with chips & salad!

This quintessential country pub is almost too good for itself. Great food - the menu is top-shelf pub grub. A great range, good quality and value, and extremely generous portions. The hospitality of the owners and staff is what you would expect of a country pub - warm, friendly and genuine.
The only drawback is that with a bit of a shortage of staff in busy times, you might wait a few extra minutes at the bar or with your meal, but that slight delay is more than worth the wait. Just relax and soak in the atmosphere and the ambience of this historical landmark.

Was a pleasure to spend time in a wonderful, small town country pub. Full of history and country service. Drinks cold, meals are HUGE, delicious and price so reasonable. Photo doesn't do the size justice. Go for a day trip, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely delightful historical country pub.

Warm and inviting interior, excellent service, and genuinely friendly staff.

The food was some of the best I have ever had at a pub.

The accommodation is clean and tidy, quaint with its historic quirks.

Highly recommend visiting, eating, drinking & staying the night.

Absolutely amazing meal. We rocked in late just before the kitchen closed and they still accommodated us. The food was massive and amazingly tasty. The "Dad and Dave" section and the historic section was also very interesting. We are coming back to this to sample some of their other food

Recommended to us by Toowoomba Visitor centre, and so pleased we went for lunch. It is over 30kms from Toowoomba but well worth the drive. Great menu, lovely pub, wonderful atmosphere. If we are ever in Toowoomba again, we'll definitely go here.

This pub is one of the best country pubs around and is definitely well worth visiting for lunch and a few drinks. The meals were massive, very well presented and delicious. As it is a very popular venue on weekends, understandably there's a bit of a wait for service. The rustic character of the building creates a wonderful atmosphere.

Great pub to have a meal or rest and soak in the atmosphere. Nice meal. Plenty of tables at the back and sometimes they have a live band but you need to check when though. Food coming out a bit slow especially with group.

Went out to this classic country Pub on the 20th March 2022 with a small group (25) Fellow motorcyclists for my first day back on the bike for 5 months after Illness had me side-lined for a while.
The service and ALL staff where great and always seemed happy.
The facilities where clean and tidy including the guy's amenities.
Lots of memorabilia on the walls to keep you busy for a while.
They had us out in the "Barn" and this facility would be great for even a rustic wedding or something.
The meals arrived VERY quickly even though they seemed to be quite busy, but some of our group did have to wait a little longer than most of us for their meals.
BUT when the meals arrived it was definitely worth the wait!
Typical OZZI Country fair indeed. I had the Parmi and thought I couldn't finish it, but as I'm FAT... I forced myself...😎😍
The person on my left had the Lamb sausages and it looked huge and very tasty. He loved it too.
I then noticed the guy to my right had ordered the Nacho's.
OMG!
This plate was HUUUUUGE!
Do yourself a favour and pay this little Pub a visit for a meal, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Have a GREAT DAY

One of the best. Great food at reasonable prices but the bonus is the meals are man sized unlike most these days. Beer was chilled to perfection. Top spot!

We loved this historical pub! We drove 2.5 hours from the east coast to escape the hustle and bustle, we were not disappointed. Friendly staff, great food - which did not take long to serve - exactly what we were after driving this far out. If you care to learn about history, you could stay here for hours learning about the origins of this place and the family behind it. If you're looking for a beautiful drive to a country pub, this pub must be on your list, even for a quick beer. Thank you to the staff for the friendly service too, we were obviously from out of town and felt very welcomed here.

Went there on a Sunday lunch time, arrived 10 minutes late and our table had been given away. Wasn't too happy about that considering we had waited in line 5 minutes to get in. They found a new table and we sat down and had a cold beer enjoying the ambiance and memorabilia. Waiting half an hour before ordering was a big mistake as the place was so busy and clearly not staffed sufficiently that it took an hour and forty minutes before the food arrived. The staff were all very friendly and the food was good. However beware if you go there without allocating a good couple of hours, it really is way too long to wait. It's a shame because otherwise it's a lovely country pub.

Service was woeful. Had to wait half an hour just to have our order taken. Preference was made for those sitting in the bar. Charged for extra plates which we then had to ask for when our meals came out. My daughter and I's meal was the last to be served an hour and a half after we had arrived and others at our table had finished. Our lamb shanks were overcooked on the bottom and tough in that area so was hard to eat. Then when we asked for some plates as we had a cake for a birthday told they couldn't as they had already done the dishes even though there were plates still all over the our table. Another went to talk to them again about getting some plates for the cake which he managed to get after stating how we had been left half an hour just to be served. They then stated that we should of told them when we arrived that we had a cake. Bit hard if you can't get service nor was it hidden when we came in. If they want to be told about cakes put a sign up. Would not recommend and will not go back. Had far better meals elsewhere.

Awesome meals! Brilliant service! A few unplanned large groups turned up, which slowed our lunch meals but the staff were awesome about it. Seven different meals and definitely worth the wait.

Good meals but they do get busy and can be slow, interesting place to visit with lots of memorabilia on walls. Can free camp across the the road. Good place for a stop over.

One of Toowoomba and surrounds "go to pub" for a decent well priced feed.
Only reason its not a 5 star review is you can sometimes have a bit of a wait on busy times. I would highly recommend booking a seat as its usually busy at peak times and public holidays.
The meals are quite large, the chicken parmigiana looked like it was a breast from a turkey it was that big. The steaks were very tender and melted in my mouth, awesome.
Do yourself a favour and go and spend a few dollars in this small country pub.

Great pub to have a beer and the place is full of very cool old stuff. Staff were very nice but seriously unless you have a spare one hour and forty five minutes , dont eat there. Food is great but it takes forever !!

We moved up here 18 months ago after staying here on Anzac Day (after fruitless days searching to buy a place over the Coast and Lockyer Valley). After looking around the area we made the move to Clifton. Rudd's Pub is our go to place for a meal. Great food, service, owners and atmosphere. Best 'pub grub' in the Darling and Southern Downs area.

Spent 2 wonderful days at the pub. Friendly publicans, Gayle & Evan, couldnt do enough for us. The meals were delicious and ever so large. Cant complain about the quantity. The accommodation was great as well. Big comfortable beds and lots of hot water. Added bonus was the complimentary breakfast - OMG!!!! There was enough to feed an army let alone 4 people however we did our best. Thanks again to Gayle, Evan & staff for a wonderful stay.
