We had a wonderful experience at the Royal Oak hotel yesterday. From the moment we arrived, a gentleman named jevon made us feel genuinely welcome. He was warm, friendly, and professional throughout our visit. Small gestures like pulling out our chairs and pouring our drinks made a big difference and showed how much he cares about providing great service. It\'s rare to come across such genuine hospitality, and it really made our visit memorable. That guy is a fantastic asset to the team, and we\'ll definitely be back. Thank you for making our experience so enjoyable!

Great place for a beer , food and accommodation.
It is a std above typical old fashioned pub accommodation.
Great outdoor beer garden too.
Great comfy bed, clean tidy room with sink.
TV, heater and pedalstal fan .
High ceilings but no air con.
We here in july so heater needed and worked good .
Not sure how it would be in summer.
Basic breaky included in a crib room with lots of options. ??'? Access to verandah to chill, eat breaky , have a wine .
It has shared bathrooms but they are very good, clean and tidy.
Hallway carpet so easy to do in bare feet haha.
Off street parking also.
If u ok with shared bathroom and pub accommodation, u will be happy here.

I came in to have a chill feed to kill some time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They came at the right time to check i was happy with everything and again to take my empty plate and ask if I wanted dessert. I had the vegan burger which was delicious as always! Unfortunately no room for dessert 🫣 thanks girls for the food and service!

Great little pub. Good menu with delicious fresh food. Friendly staff, limited but quality wine list. 4 or 5 beers on tap, but covers all tastes. If youre spending time in the Coonawarra you must drop in here for a meal and a drink.

While travelling through the region, we stayed at Penola. Had dinner here at the Royal Oaks hotel. Did not disappoint! All of us enjoyed our meals. My steak was especially tasty!
