We really enjoyed our stay. Clean and comfortable. Friendly reception and we were lucky to get early check in so we could go out and about in the city for Australia Day. I would ask for an ice tray though in the freezer please. We rang reception several times around 7 pm but no response. Breakfast basic but better than the Rydges at The Rocks. Otherwise it was pretty good. Air cond worked well. beautiful linen towels etc

We arrived at breakfast at 9:40. It ends at 10:30 over the weekend. There was no bacon, 1 little chicken sausage and no hash browns?
Mattresses way too soft. I would not stay there again.

Can't fault this place and the gym and swimming pool were a nice surprise. Location was excellent for anywhere you'd possibly want to go. Staff couldn't be more friendly. You get your room cleaned every day and if you opt to skip that you get $10 per day to spend within the building.

The worst experience we had ever staying at a hotel apartment. Me, my wife and son came to Sydney for the 1st time and unfortunately we booked at Rydges darling square. The Ac there was not working properly and they couldn't give us another room instead they offered a smaller room at different hotel (within the same group which was only 3star). The room was very small. But considering it was hot weather we shifted to the other hotel which they arranged. At 12am, we had to carry our luggage our own the with my 7 year old son and wife. The other hotel was 2 streets away and we didn't get any help from the hotel staff in shifting the luggage and had to carry my 7 year old son and 3 big trolley luggages through the streets which was really difficult and unsafe.

We were downgraded from 4 star to 3 star and the management never gave any sort of compensation. Even the breakfast was very basic. Had horrible experience and I will never book with Rydges. I hope this reaches to their senior management team and no one else have to go through this kind of experience with them.

A quick stay, in a deluxe suite on the top floor.
Room was lovely, balcony views of the city, nice full kitchen, absolutely stunning.
We had one hiccup that was resurrected within 5 minutes, the bed sheet had foot prints clearly on it. But after bringing it to the attention of staff, they supplied new sheets and were very apologetic and helpful.
Besides that, everything else was absolutely perfect. Will be back.

The location and rooms were great. The atmosphere around the hotel was amazing and made everything feel like a proper holiday. We could walk to destinations such as Darling Harbour and Circular Quay and the train and light rail were there if needed as well.

The pool, spa and sauna were a great relaxation, the rooms tidy and updated and shower was great.

We cannot thank the staff enough for their caring and understanding, especially the three Indian men at reception. They went above and beyond at every opportunity and we were so grateful. After coming down with a bout of gastro/food poisoning on our last night, they were able to accommodate a later check out which meant the absolute world to me in the state I was in.

We will without a doubt be back on our next trip to Sydney.

After three stays in this hotel I've come to love it. Lovely room's, friendly staff & great breakfast, all just a short walk from Darling Harbour and townhall.
This hotel offers comfortable & classy accommodation, staff knowledgeable about the surrounding area who give great recommendations & more than enough water pressure to relax in the shower after a day's adventure. 5stars.

We stayed for one night to see a show 'Beauty and the Beast' in the city on Friday.

We arrived early (ie noon) and they were able to check us into our room, no problem. We asked about the pool and were kindly given the towels for swimming.

Our room was a two bedroom suit with, kitchen, balcony. The balcony was looking into the center courtyard of adjacent buildings, so no city view but was quite.

It was very comfortable and roomy. The bathrooms were clean and seemed to have been updated recently. No problem with towels either plenty. We had a eight year girl staying with us and so we wanted a separate room for her.

The pool was nice and the eight year old loved going for a swim. Breakfast in the morning was nice. Plenty to eat and to choose from, the eight was thrilled they had pancakes.

The hotel is close to darling harbour, the theatres and to Central station.

I think a lot of the negative reviews must be relate to the previous operators.

We would definitely stay again as was comfortable and friendly.

One amusing piece of green-washed nonsense is a $10 "credit" given as a card, if you don't get your towels washed. It states" it is to be used during your stay. To redeem,please present to reception upon checkout. " Unless you choose to checkout during your stay, you cant use it, or if you've prepaid, or leaving early or late.... hmmm. Written by a 12 yr old marketing genius? Or maybe a bored towel washer?

Just love Sydney, and this was a great little place to stay!

Great location to China town and Darling harbor.
Loved my room however if you have one close to the elevator you can hear it going up and down all day long of course as people go to sleep it's not in use.
As is the norm now you don't get fresh towels each day, I had to run out before I got new ones.
Other than that it was a lovely clean and modern place to stay.
I would go back.

What a wonderful find. We have stayed at hotel double and triple the cost of this one and nowhere near as good. Entrance is tucked away and unassuming but the rooms are clean and spacious and only a stones throw to everything. Spa was really warm but pool too cold. Would stay again thank you.

Great serviced apartment in Sydney's CBD. It's an older apartment (but not too old) but everything is quality and the appliances and amenties work fine. Check in was seamless and friendly. I was hardly in my apartment because i was out and about but it was a relief to come back to a spacious comfortable spacious apartment. I'll definitely return to Rydges.

The room was spacious and had good amenities. Excellent position close to Chinatown and Darling Harbour. The only fault was that the shower/bath was hard to get into and the water pressure was terrible. Good price for the nights accommodation.

So so satisfied with the experience! The price of the hotel was reasonable and it was in a prime location. Upon arriving, the staff were super helpful and I booked for one night and they even gave us an upgrade from one bedroom to a whole apartment which really made our experience with Rydges. The hotel room was clean and tidy and the indoor pool was beautiful. Would 100% come again!

Definately a handy place to stay as it's so close to everything. The hotel has a variety of sized rooms and you can get deals to be more affordable. Swimming pool, spa and small gym on level 1. Also a restaurant on level 1 if you want to stay indoors.

Stayed here for a business trip. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and immaculately clean, great central location. Shame that the restaurant was not operating for dinner but otherwise a perfect hotel.

Fantastic hotel with superb staff. Really helped us out during our stay in Sydney while waiting for our lost luggage. The rooms are beatiful and the beds are super comfy.

Good location, reasonably priced with nice facilities. Spacious rooms and a balcony. The Customer Service I received from the two gentlemen from Pune, Nachi and Amey, was absolutely top notch. I chose to extend my stay instead of moving on, and will return when I'm back in Sydney for work this year. These men are an asset to your organisation.

Insanely rude service. No parking. Horrible location. Refused to pick up phone calls, then called me a liar and said I had never rung. I called again right in front of her and watched her ignore the phone for a third time. There wasn't even an option to hold. Nearby parking is impossible to find and no help from staff. No apology either. Obviously, I will not be back again. As someone with a disability parking permit as a result of s severe respiratory condition, I find this level of service particularly appalling and the lack of ANY nearby accessible carparks discriminatory. The fact that your hotel is completely inaccessible to people with disabilities should be clear on your website so no one else makes the mistake of staying here.

I had a medical emergency and was in hospital and called reception to request a late check out. I was advised it was okay and I had until the evening to check out. And that would NOT be charged an additional fee as I was staying in an out-of-service (not sellable) room. Guests cannot book this room and I was offered it by a staff member whom was actually very amazing, polite and courteous. Upon checking out, Gus, the duty manager attempted to charge me $150 without permission or authority. Upon raising this with gus, he was incredibly condescending and said "well if you stayed in my hotel until 3 you're being charged for it". I explained it was a violation of australian consumer law to not disclose charges or fees to somebody upon providing them a service, and he laughs and said it isn't his issue. Shocking from a premium hotel chain. Will be raising complaint and have filed chargeback for unauthorised charges.

The service I had received from this hotel was fantastic until I was met with the Front counter manager Gus, I had called the hotel and advised I needed to checkout late as I had a medical emergency and was raced to hospital. The staff I spoke to asked if I was okay and advised me I could checkout later in the day at no cost. Upon checkout they charged my credit card a $150 late checkout fee. Gus then advised me that I'm not entitled to stay in a hotel for free. I advised him that I had spoken to their team and they had told me there would be no charges. He then proceeded to charge my credit card without agreement. I stated this is illegal, as I must be informed of any charges before hand and he continued to argue with me and told me to 'go ahead' to make an complaint and to complain to consumer affairs. Disgusting service would not ever come back here

An excellent 4 star hotel with 5 star service. Accommodating, empathetic (understanding about my ADHD) and hospitable. I was supposed to stay 4 days and I stayed for over a week. Loved it.

Very old rooms. Old carpeting which stinks up the room and is equivalent to an agar plate for bacteria.

Was greeted with a cockroach upon checking in. (Refer to video/photos). No pest control was available and they could only send someone up with a broom and dustpan to chase the cockroach away.

If you're looking at this property, please do change your options or cancel the booking ASAP, to avoid regretting it later. This was my child's first ever trip overseas and i regretted not booking a better hotel.

I had a very delightful and relaxing experience. I got upgraded to a suite for free. It was so much wonderful and comfy with kids.

I always stay here, a great location, there is parking, comfortable enough spacious rooms, excellent breakfast, check-in and check-out are always very prompt, there is everything you need.The room is very comfortable and clean. The bedding is very nice and white. We had breakfast included, buffet. Everything is very tasty and a great choice.
