This place is an absolute gem! The homemade salad dressing is a game-changer; it takes their salads to a whole new level of deliciousness. I had the chef special - seafood linguine. I must say it was absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed every bite, please send my kind regards to the chef of tonight. He cooked a beautiful meal full of flavour. Was the best seafood dish I have had at a pub for a very long time!

Unfortunately we had quite an upsetting experience at this bar recently.

Some colleagues and I were here on Friday afternoon for after work drinks and a bit of a reunion with old colleagues when the cyber outage happened and the staff didn't deal with things well. They explained they couldn't accept card, which was of course fine, but there were inconsistencies with their approach to people being allowed to come into the venue once they'd decided to restrict entry.

At one point they locked doors and a friend of ours couldn't get back in after being outside to make a phone call. As another of our friends was leaving, I held the door open and she came back in so she could finish her drink and continue the lovely afternoon with all of us. At the same time another man came in. A female member of staff stood by the door and informed them they weren't letting anyone else in. The man said he had cash and walked on in and my friend explained she was here before and her drink was still on the table, then she walked past the staff member and myself and came in. A few moments later a female manager asked to have a word with our friend and informed her she had to leave as the member of staff from the door said our friend had pushed her, which is not at all what happened - I was stood by the door holding it open as she came in and went by us both. This was an incredibly embarrassing situation for my friend and our entire group as we were not even one finished drink in to our catch up and it made our friend out to have done something she didn't and wouldn't ever do. She dealt with it gracefully and just left as she didn't want to cause a scene, but it left the rest of us with a sour taste in our mouths. We then saw various people walk on into the bar, no questions asked, while we finished our drinks and the doors must've been unlocked. This inconsistent approach among staff just added fuel to the upset in the group and we left, but not before I spoke with a male manager expressing our disappointment with the venue after so many previously good experiences. He was incredibly reasonable and I wish he'd dealt with this matter from the beginning to be honest.

This bar was once a great local place to go for casual after work drinks and snacks, but it's sadly now been tainted and we won't be returning.

Enjoyed a lovely hearty Christmas in July dinner tonight. As always the staff are friendly and helpful and the food delicious. Special shout out to the head chef who made fresh light and delicious donuts to finish the meal. Perfect end. See you again soon

Very impressed with the service, The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. the food was delicious, particularly the jam doughnuts. Complements to the chef!!! and the venue was light, bright, clean and welcoming... will be bringing the family back for another visit...

We loved our meals here the people were friendly the chef was friendly. I ordered the parma it was cooked to perfection the crumb was delicious and their chips are so nice and a freshly made jam donut to top it off. Highly recommend coming here loved it.

First and likely last time visiting the Pascoe Vale hotel, I don't know if the place is woefully understaffed it wasn't even that busy on a Wednesday night.

Tables not cleared but my biggest issue was 50 minutes for a trio of dips, almost an hour for entree calamari and drinks took almost 30 minutes from ordering.

It was pretty obvious you were prioritising bar orders over the table QR code as we saw orders going out to people who arrived long after us.

If you're not capable or competent to fulfill the table ordering please just remove it.

It was a huge fail, 50 minutes for bread and dips is unacceptable we didn't even receive any apology from the staff regarding the delay.

Food Quality: Ordered the Southern Fried Chicken burger ... but i got a Schnitzel/parma style chicken with cheese in a bun ... Pizza was also very bland with lots of cheese

Service: Staff didn't care to ask why our plates are still more than half full when they came to collect ... I also asked for tomatoe sauce 3 times, went to the bar twice to ask for pepper gravy, and still didn't get any.

Atmosphere: Clean and Tidy

Popped in for a Monday night family dinner. The Chef's Special lobster risotto was delicious and not too chilli hot. Steak was cooked to liking medium/rare. Kids loved the fish and chips and snitzel. The pumpkin curry was really good! Topped off with the Chef's freshly made hot jam donuts!

Caesar salad with grilled prawns. This dish was an absolute masterpiece.

The salad was a work of art, with crisp romaine lettuce, generously drizzled with a creamy Caesar dressing that was perfectly balanced in flavor. The croutons were delightfully crunchy, and the shaved Parmesan cheese added a rich, savory note.

But what truly elevated this salad to greatness were the grilled prawns. They were cooked to perfection, boasting a smoky char on the outside while remaining tender and succulent on the inside. The prawns added a delightful seafood flavor that paired seamlessly with the Caesar salad's classic elements.

The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying and wholesome meal on its own. It was a refreshing and delicious choice for a light lunch or dinner.

Great value buffalo wings! Would have been even more delicious if there was a blue cheese sauce with it. Little bit of a wait for our meals but understandable with the UFC on! Great atmosphere! A sports bar, outdoor beer garden, pokies and bistro - carers for all!

This is my go to place when taking my young daughter out for an early dinner. Tuesday Parma night is great value and delicious with a variety of options. The hotel staff provide great service and a friendly atmosphere.

The master chef is a gentleman, very personable, preparing our order request ahead of the 5.30 bistro open and suggesting new options on the menu. His freshly cooked jam donut dessert is an absolute treat. 10/10

Young girl in the sports bar didn't remember her name sorry, gave us fantastic service! Polite, attentive, cleared our plates when finished! Great wine advice love the option of a larger glass. Made our quick last minute lunch decision very enjoyable.

We came for a lunch at our local pub expecting a good meal as always but today was a step up!
We had the chef's special Homemade Gnocchi and couldn't rate it any higher. The flavour, the texture the presentation was perfect and delicious to too it off.
The wonderful service provided by the staf added to this experience. So pleasant, helpful and friendly. The chef even came out to chat and ensure we were happy with our meals.
I highly recommend that you come here and support this great local!

Probably the best Parmas this side of the moon. Fresh and tasty is an understatement. The staff here are insanely wonderful. It's a delightful visit each time. Hats off the the chef and a big thanks to the staff for their care!

Perfect Christmas day lunch at the Pascoe Vale Hotel today with the family. The hospitality service was excellent ??'? the tables were beautifully decorated with a Christmas theme and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Our orders were taken and food was out promptly. All meals looked great and were delicious! 5 courses at super reasonable prices for Christmas day! Santa arrived and gave out presents to the kids and a raffle was drawn. Ended lunch full and very happy ? we will be back again. Thankyou to the lovely team who served us on this special day.

Absolutely amazing staff and service. The food was amazing. We know where we are coming next chrissy. Leschelle, Celeste, Tracey, Maia, Kaylee, and the bar staff just the best staff and chef and the best service. Honestly so friendly, and no request was a problem for them Just wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.

Excellent dinner at the PVH. Highlights were the house made gnocchi, chicken Wellington and friendly service. Highly recommended.

5 of us dined here on Wednesday night. Food was exceptional, from the entrees to the mains followed by dessert every meal was cooked perfectly to how we requested. All came out and in a timely manner. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Although is was a very busy night you could not fault the staff for their service and friendliness to their customers. We had an awesome night and I would definitely recommend Pascoe Vale Hotel to my family and friends.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. We have been coming to the PV hotel for years for work lunches because it's been convenient for us as a group. Today we had a group booking of 20-25 people. We arrived at noon to no table even prepared for us. It was quickly rectified, but then we attempted to order food/drinks at the bar, to be told they don't accept cash.
ALL meals had to be ordered and paid for via a phone QR code/app. Mind you, some of my colleagues are in their 50's-60's who have never used their phones in such a way!! Half the table were refused service for drinks at the bar and made to use the table QR code/app. What ever happened to good old pub service and hospitality?!
Service delivery was also hopeless to say the least- we were there for about 3hrs and all the empty plates remained on the table the whole time. We were the only ones in the bistro!
Safe to say, we will be taking our office and our money elsewhere for our next function. Severely disappointed.

Been here twice now and food has always been great. Chef is a very nice and friendly guy.
Our order was grilled salmon, satay chicken, Hawaiian pizza, beef cheeks, and my pvh steak sandwich with beef patty instead of steak which the chef thought was quite funny. All very happy with the taste and portions of food.

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in PASCOE-VALE HOTEL. I had Chef's SPECIAL Smoked Salmon Linguine which was so go I cant explain. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who want a romantic night out or a group celebration as there was also plenty of room for bigger groups.

Food is excellent with a great variety on offer ... Parmas are a highlight, a must do and very reasonably priced ! With a great specials board, very friendly, accommodating and personable staff we choose to eat here regularly every week as a family with friends . Not to mention there is always something special on offer on the drinks menu ! Great all round !

Avoid food here at all costs, it is really off putting and there was something gross about each item we ordered (reformed chicken meat in the parmas, frozen fish for the calamari, and stale burger bun for the beef burger).

Since the food is priced on the higher end for a local pub, I would rather eat elsewhere.

The drinks are decent and the venue itself is nice.

Mothers day lunch.Had such as great time with the family . The atmosphere at the Pascoe Vale Hotel was very welcoming, having mothers day themed bistro with flowers and other little decorations. I was quite surprised on how much effort the staff put in , with welcome campaign and gift vouchers to the mothers . The food of course is always great there, decent prices and high quality meals. Would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys bistro dinning.

The only pub within miles. Close to the station with good parking. Pub food with a sports bar. Good Sunday session.

Went to Pascoe Vale Hotel for a family catch up dinner, was greeted upon entry and was seated, we ordered the chefs special gnocchi, seafood linguine and the coconut curry and wow, just WOW, compliments to the chefs, every meal on our table was plated with passion. This hotel is a 40-minute drive for us, and it's worth every minute. Thank you, Pascoe Vale Hotel we will be back.

Fantastic experience here! All five meals were amazing and entrees were great as well. Wonderful service, friendly staff and the Chef came out to check if our meals were satisfactory which I really appreciated. He was friendly and genuine and a very talented chef and it was obvious he cares about the food he is serving. Our first time here but definitely wont be the last! Highly recommend!!!!!

I've been going to this pub for years. It still has a warm and friendly feel. The food is pretty good. What makes the place is the sense of community and the easy-going friendly staff. Recommend for an honest, home-style meal.

Went with family, had the calamari salad, Parma and the gnocchi. All three meals were delicious, and such good portions with amazing presentation. All staff are very friendly and will absolutely be back and recommending the hotel to others !!
