We stayed in Mt Isa for 3 days and had our car fixed.. The service and food at The Overlander was exceptional, staff member Jodie went above and beyond with customer service which is so rare these days... if only the rest of the world had great values it would be a.better place... Definitely will return

Rooms was nice Nothing fancy, Checking in was the worst we had checked in on 2 separate occasions and both times took 30min for the front desk to figure out how they use there system, 2nd time we checked in we were given a dirty room beddings all over the place dirty dishes in sink as if someone was still in there they although moved us to a new room promptly.

We read the reviews here on Google and were a bit hesitant of eating here but after a long day we had no choice. Well we were very impressed to say the least. The beer on tap was good, the staff were good and the food was excellent! The best chicken Parma I've ever eaten. I had mine with a pepper sauce and it was very nice whereas my wife had the fish tacos and a side of veggies and she said both were really good. If you are buying drinks make sure you get there before 7pm for best prices.

Rooms are basic but very clean with a reverse cycle aircon which was well used on a cold night/morning. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom basic but the shower was amazing with great water pressure. Meals were delicious.....we had Garlic Prawns and Carbonara for $50.....very friendly staff.
