Great staff, great pub. Cheap and cheerful accommodation, don't expect valet parking but rooms were clean, quiet, good shower and telly, you can't go wrong. Good sports bar and and a nice outside area to enjoy a cold one. Big bistro with plenty of pub favorites.

Boy, what you get for 'pub accommodation' sure has changed! Mowbray offers the ideal budget-priced option in north Tassie - freshly painted rooms, cleaned daily; very comfortable beds; big TV in each room. Shared bathroom is freshly kept and modern.
And the bistro may have the best cheesy-garlic bread in all the Apple isle! Bar offers classic Aussie drinking environment, with friendly staff; gaming room is clean and modern, if that's your thing.

Room was ok, but the kettle to boil water looked really really dirty. Parking facilities and dining available. The most annoying thing is the location of the room and the area where hotel couldn't sleep well because of the noises of vehicles almost whole
night.They need to work on the hotel window glass.

Terrible experience with the staff, one girl was so rude we weren't welcomed in at all and were asked to leave the car park before we even stepped foot in the door to check in. The suburb was very dodgey and the car park was not great either. I have never left a bad review before but this experience was horrible. Tried to charge us a cancellation fee despite being kicked out. We left and found somewhere else that is perfect.

Well.. I had taken my bad review down after trying again and had a decent experience with the staff members that night, some weeks ago. Decided to try again on Saturday 6th January. Not happy at all. Made me regret taking my initial review down. Firstly, count any money you get out, they won't and will conveniently "forget" to give it all to you, forcing you to ask for your own money... Wouldn't have had to ask for the rest of the money if the staff member had simply counted it out when handing it over. Guess I know where my money would have ended up as he did the tills that night... On top of that I don't understand how the price of a drink can change depending on who serves you. To the two gentlemen working that night, it's very telling that you were polite to me every time I was served but rude to my spouse. To the manager, don't bother asking me to contact you. My PTSD and anxiety make that almost impossible. I've spoken to multiple older customers that no longer go there and they say it's gone downhill since the previous manager left and now go elsewhere and I agree.

Amazing food and even better staff! Definitely recommend going here if your looking for a great atmosphere and lovely staff! Or even just for a sneeky beer or 2 😉

Great service, very friendly and attentive staff. The food was great , price was also great. Great feed for the whole family.

We had a group of 4 adults. The room was wonderfully set out and clean with a welcoming atmosphere. The young lady behind the bar and young gentleman that bought our meals out were absolutely wonderful. Sadly the meal was a big let down, the chicken parmigiana's were both burnt to a very very dark brown/black and very dried out, the meals were small for the price paid and the salad dressing was repulsive, personally I'd rather just salad without any dressing.

One of the worst chicken schnitzel's I've had. Thin, hard and extremely stringy. Not unlike something you would get from the deli at Woolworths. I would not recommend this menu choice.

Tasty hot meal for lunch, beautifully cooked. Staff pleasant. Dinning room clean. Will certainly go again.

The atmosphere is always good the staff friendly and helpful.
The food always excellent and the seniors meals plenty on the plate at a very low price.

My partner & I had a meal Saturday night 27/5/23, I had the mixed grill, she had the ribs, absolutely fantastic, cooked to perfection, we have been there before, good quick service, 8 ball table, we shall be back ??'???'???'?

We're do I begin first I upgraded to a room with private bathroom @a cost of $20 that's fine in that we get two free drinks I guess that was the 2 water bottles in the fridge then after a 5 hour drive wanted to have a shower and freshenup before the show we had travelled to Launceston for to find there was no shower pressure the taps in the sink worked well but I guess the shower ran off different pipes I didn't even spray it was like dribbling out soo disappointed as have stayed there in the family room about a year ago and was great I would not recommend to anyone even the tv remote didnt work the last thing that was annoying the bed was on the best wheels even a shopping trolley don't move that well it needed brakes to stop moving

You guys just sent it for a 6. Ive been eating out for a week in hobart and Launceston and finally ive found a meal i can come back for every night. Mums cookin dinna. Love it. And they were slammed too.

Great staff. We were a group going to the races. Staff were super accommodating as our arrival was outside the sign in hour. Definately recommend hotel . Good to have ensuite in room too.??'?

Couldn't eat the parmigiana. Dreadful. Really hungry. Wouldn't feed it to the dog. I suppose i have to get hungry jacks also disgusting but slightly better.

Very good and comfortable rooms with lovely cleaning staff. Maybe fix the swinging banging doors. Bistro was good tucker.

Not the most inviting venue to walk in to, as the smoking area and general bar area faces the bistro entry doors and the patrons tend to make you feel a bit self conscious. But good service and staff.

We attended this establishment for a family birthday dinner last night and were left very dissatisfied. We had made a large booking for 20 people and only 18 places were set for us. We requested another table be added to accommodate all the guests. We were told this would be done for us, however it was not. As more guests arrived my partner and I checked for reserved signs and proceeded to move a table that was clear of the affor mentioned signage.
After doing so and proceeding to the bar to order beverages, I was spoken too poorly by the young woman behind the bar, in relation to moving the table. She was incredibly rude and condescending considering we had to do the job, we asked for 20mins prior, for her.
After paying way too much for drinks and average food, topped with poor service. We have all decided to not return the the establishment in the future.

No chair or small table to put things, people banging and crashing all through the night and loud traffic outside. Other than that staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very nice and clean.

All our meals were great, good value and wait times were average. Good job well done.

Stopped in for lunch today, was our first visit here, and found the welcoming of staff members to be fantastic, the two girls in the dining room were attentive to our needs and making sure everything was good at the table. The meals were fantastic. Roast beef was melt in your mouth, the vegetables were tasty, great value at $20. All the other diners at my table were happy with there meals, spoke fondly of the fresh side salad.

Great food and service plus free drink and ice cream for kids. Recommended.

Great location, great price and surrounded with different kinds of food. Very convenient for a road trip or a short trip to Launceston.

Clean newly refurbished rooms (2021). Shared facilities are spacious and clean. Food in the bistro is excellent and residents get a discount (show your key). Loads of good restaurants around close by. When booking ask for a room at the back. The road side rooms got a LOT of traffic noise. Also don't get room 1, it's right beside the banging exit door!

Went for lunch, very impressed meals were perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back.
