A lovely little pub with a great little authentic country bar. Be great if you could get serverd a drink at it . But to be fair I didn't wait that long when you compair it to the time waited for our lunch.. well over an hour. When it finally did arrive one snitty was missing the toppings and considering it was the gluten free crumbing it really needed something to cover the incredible ummmm 'texture' shall we say. You know that texture you get from a quality microwaved snitty from mcCain? My tbone came out cooked perfectly rare as ordered which was nice but please remember steak needs seasoning before going on the grill. And the veg, how do you boil carrots in water till they are dry ? Freezer burn perhaps? Some other complaints worth mentioning were the broccoli smelling slightly of fish, tastless gravy and mash that was poorly well......mashed. having said all this it's good to see a family owned local pub doing all day dining and catering for those with gluten intolerance (and let's face it , gluten free food sux)

This lovely little old pub in Adelaide Hills was a great find on our travels. So much better than boring motels and expensive hotels. The bar and dining area are quaint and cosy, staff very nice and chatty and the locals great people. Our room upstairs was a lovely, old but very clean room with double bed and dresser located next to the shared facilities. We had dinner there too and the hand coated schnitzel and t-bone steak with mash was delicious! Out only complaint was the vegetables, cauli, broccoli, carrot were all raw and cold. Was an odd accompaniment to a great meal. Would have been perfect if veggies were steamed or put into a veggie bake. Top place, we will go again. Oh and it was only $90 per night. 😊

Love riding our bikes from Birdwood along the Amy Gillett bow path, then stop here for lunch. Also stayed in the camping area on the grass, great spot.

Had an incredible dinner in the hotel.
Meal was delicious and great value for money.
Staff were really friendly.
Highly recommend this hotel.
