Here today for a conference and had never been as I'm not into horse-racing! However venue was ok. Easy to get around and yes the course looked beautiful. Lots of racing view rooms and was in Kingston Town room, Phar Lap room and main conference area. However main conference area was full and room was so hot! Very uncomfortable.

I am not into horse races and can judge only the company event that was held here. All was clean and appeared well organised, plenty of friendly staff ensured we were well served

Best race track in Victoria. Whether you are a Member, Owner or Public. You are so close to the action.

What a cool place! Enjoyed the races and the views of the city from the stands. Kids get in free too.

A great day for champions, horses, trainers and jockeys.
Good to see everyone went to the trouble of dressing up and making it a classy day.
Food choices are a bit limited.
Prices are reasonable.
Toilets (mens) were crowed and messy, with lots of discarded bottles, cans and other rubbish, as the bin was overflowing.

Won't be back. Members Dining room -the bathroom facilities were so basic I actually felt like I was at a local footy club, the seafood and starters were below standard. Prawns were inedible... like someone had forgotten to defrost them so submerged in tap water for an extended period of time... watery and soggy on the cut end - NASTY! Oysters muscles worse than supermarket grade. The olives on offer were tiny and tasted terrible again below supermarket grade. The main chicken was dry and mushy peas felt like I was at a nursing home, thankfully the desert table was wonderful 10/10 for desert. Those with children:- the face painting was disturbing, the lady was quite rude to some children in front of us and I was disgusted when she had finished my four year old who asked for a rainbow unicorn and what she painted was a unicorn and unicorn poo. We didn't tell my daughter what it was, we just washed it off with a wipe immediately and told her the lady did a could and it was a mistake, my daughter had seen a rainbow across the track earlier so was so looking forward to a rainbow face paint, my daughter was dressed immaculately and the face painters interaction with her was non existent she didn't smile, didn't even say hello, .... Seems like she had a bad attitude to children who were well dressed as the ones before us who were well dressed copped attitude too. There was also a man with her in workman style clothing taking photos and video calls to friend and filming the children...it felt a little creepy and I wasn't impressed when he came up and started taking photos of my four year old! The face painting was so basic two colours - nothing like the rainbow unicorn she had pictured in her cards or what my daughter asked for and expected. There was a pony advertised - that was a joke too it was behind a fence when we were there and then dragged around by a young boy and grumpy looking lady. Children were looking over the fence at were completely ignored by the lady.... so not sure what the point of that was! My daughter was disappointed as she was looking forward to seeing the pony. Thankfully a kind strapper in another stall untied her horse and let some children and my daughter have a pat!! Those with young children or asthma also be aware there is no designated smoking areas, it's a free for all so everywhere you walk there is SMOKE. Most staff were pleasant to talk to but there were a number older ones that seemed grumpy and unpleasant.
2/10 we travel to interstate city and country meets and this is by far the worst experience. Wouldn't recommend for families and I won't be going back there anytime soon.

Always a good day out at the races.
Especially in the owners rooms with delicious food served till about 3pm and then desserts till 6pm.
Always some pies and sausage rolls available in the warmer.
Not too long a wait at the bar to get drinks. Great viewing of the finish line.

Had the best day out at the track. I had never been before. If driving there the back carpark is a good carpark to park your car. Then once through the gate you walk through a great tunnel that has pictures, future events and projects coming to the track. We had a disabled person and it was easy to access up the different levels with the lift. Great views up on the disabled level which is right next to the members section.

Had lunch at Jockey Bar recently at Moonee Valley Racecourse. The meal was buffet and absolutely beautiful meal. The one drawback was that the food was removed very quickly and one lady ate her entree of seafood and went for mains but they mains had gone.

The 3 cheese gnocchi ordered in members cafe $16 had mixed vegetables in bottom of dish, What is that doing in there. Took back saying no vegetables should be in gnocchi. Chef came out saying I'll made a fresh one for you, waited 10 minutes new gnocchi given, it was so so very salty. Makes me wonder if it was on purpose, took it back to cafe staff said they would tell the chef, waited, he poked his head around and quickly ducked back in. I'm very suspicious!!!!

They don't call it the valley of excitement for nothing. A great place to go with the family or gather socially with friends. Plenty of places to eat and drink and the racing is unbeatable.

Great fun on racing day! Can get crowded, and queues for drinks can be lengthy, but if the weather persists it's a great day out and thrilling when your pick wins!

Clean, spacious and well maintained. Came here for a convention and all facilities were in good order. Plenty of convenient parking also. We were well supplied with coffee and tea and the used cups and saucers, tea bags etc were managed well and cleared away promptly - unlike some places. Great views of the race track from the viewing area upstairs.

I've attended several functions at Moonee Valley Race ourse. Parking is available onsite. They have multiple function rooms at the venue, so you need to know which you are attending. In the Champion room the room doesn't have a lot of atmosphere unless you are there to view the races, where the covered views to the track would be perfect. Staff have always been very helpful and food was plentiful. The entrance leaves a lot to be desired looking out onto a car Park and a construction site. The main function room further into the complex is served by lifts and escalators and can easily hold 400- 500 people with a podium and dance floor.

Pleasantly relaxed dining experience with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable & approachable service team members. Great menu items & a slew of selections. Face mask use is according to current situation, and gently reminded via signage.

Very disappointing experience. Cajun seasoning on chips even the Children's meal. We had 2 very disappointed small children who were unable to eat the chips that they had been looking forward to. Complained to manager whose response was basically too bad, this is our new American menu. Next time you can order without the seasoning. However no mention on the menu that kids or adults chips had Cajun seasoning. We won't be back! Wine also disappointing, sweetest Shiraz I've ever tasted. .

We returned to Legends (after a long break re COVID) this Easter Sunday. We had a family booking for 13 and were very happy with the quick service, delicious meals and reasonable pricing. The views are fabulous over the race course and to the city and the restaurant is very spacious inside. Great place to come with kids as their meals come out extra quick. We had a lovely experience!

Pretty good pub food, friendly staff and fast service. One of the burgers was a bit under, noticed by staff when collected and free dessert given. Nice touch. The only reason am not giving 5 stars is the size of the venue, it felt massive and not intimate. That said I completely understand why that is the design, can get lots of people in with great views of the track. On a race day I'd have given 5 stars.

Made a reservation for 12. As soon as the phone was answered quickly & efficiently (by Yvonne), the whole experience was excellent. Yvonne is a wonderful ambassador for The Legends - her manner & customer service was beholden to a legend who is an asset to her employer - thank you, you are a LEGEND!!!
