Friendly staff, clean room and well set up.
Loss of 1 star as the lighting in the bathroom is partly blocked making dull shadowy in the shower itself. Minor thing yes but when there is a step up and step down in and out of the shower section good lighting is needed.

Great rooms for the price. It\'s only around the corner from the medical centre so it\'s perfect to stay at of you need the Monash hospital. The bed is comfortable, the shower is amazing and check in was very straightforward. Definitely recommended.

They are really friendly, you get two free drinks as you book and enter your room redeemable at the front counter and the staff is really good.

Booked 2 rooms for 10 days for my family from overseas. Big Shout out to Dannii, the booking manager. Right from the get-go she was outstanding in her professional yet personal service, going above & beyond, understanding the ongoing changes to my bookings due to unforeseen circumstances. She was prompt courteous and friendly right throughout my interaction with her. Was kind enough to charge me the best rate despite downsizing my bookings. Would highly recommend them for any short/long term stays at this well located/connected motel. Rooms were clean spacious and serviced everyday. Good team overall.

Avoid this shady motel at all costs. They take advantage of international students and their families who don't speak English well.

My cousin and her parents stayed here in July 2024 while visiting a student at Monash University. When they checked out, everything seemed fine. However, the next day their $100 AUD deposit was not refunded. Instead, their banking app showed that the motel had kept the money.

My cousin's English is limited, so she couldn't call the motel to question it. Fortunately for them, I was able to step in.

When I called the front desk to ask why the deposit had been withheld, the receptionist sounded hesitant and clearly uncomfortable. She eventually claimed that the cleaner had found evidence of smoking in the room and that the deposit was taken as a "special cleaning fee."

That immediately made me angry, because my cousin and her parents do not smoke at all. The accusation was completely baseless.

I told the receptionist the truth and made it clear that I would come to the motel the next morning to confront them and the cleaner in person. I also warned that if necessary, I would call the police, because what they were doing was no different from taking someone's money without justification.

After that call, the receptionist sounded increasingly nervous.

Interestingly, the next day my cousin informed me that the entire $100 deposit had suddenly been refunded.

Your response is honestly ridiculous. You are clearly avoiding the key issue and trying to brush this matter aside.

Why won't you simply admit that everything I stated is true? Your front desk staff clearly told us on the phone that the charge was made because a cleaner claimed someone in our group had smoked - not because the refund was being processed through the normal procedure.

At the time, the staff member's tone was extremely awkward and guilty, as if she knew something wasn't right. Now you are repeating the same false accusation that someone smoked in the room. That is simply unacceptable.

If you really had solid evidence that someone smoked, then why did you later issue a refund? Or were you worried that we might report this to the police?

As the saying goes, the truth cannot be hidden. False accusations will eventually fall apart. Your behaviour in this matter is truly disgraceful.
