Play Pokies at MIDDLETON TAVERN in Middleton

My family and I have eaten here as it\'s a lovely area to visit, first visit we ordered chicken schnitzel with pepper sauce ... what came was a white pepper sauce and bright yellow chips .. the worst meal ever .. so we thought we would try again ... omg Middle tavern lift your game 5 meals not one good one .. the salad bar 1980 was good hot veg is good .. the tavern needs a paint the and some new chairs would be good.. its not all about the sports bar and pokies its a family tavern.. make it a good meeting place not a worn out 80s tavern with food warmed up from the 80s ...it can be good..

This pub has great potential with the outdoor/ rooftop seating areas (so we can't judge the summer vibe). However, we visited in winter and the indoor dining is very outdated. We were greeted with great hostility by a waitress when we accidentally sat at a reserved table. She (very rudely) informed us that the table next to us was free. The tables were identical, so I don't understand being so rude when you could've easily switched the tables. We actually left without eating because we felt unwelcome. Hopefully this was a once off!

I almost never give reviews, however what a brilliant job of the pub renovations. Such a shame the food (likely re heated from packaged meat at Woolworths) is as bland and basic as you will get. Service essentially the same, not to mention the 45 min wait for dessert. Give it 30 years they might get there.

Recently had a function at MIDDLETON TAVERN, in the front room.
They were wonderful. Helped us set up large display TV for slideshow. Provided Pizza, sandwiches, wedges ect and jugs of drink, in a timely manner, for a very good price. Went out of their way to look after us. Thank you very much. Greatly appreciated.

Last Monday evening a group of 6 of us had dinner there. I ordered a $45 Reef and beef, medium rare. It actually came out as medium rare, but the steak was full of gristle and barely edible. Asked the waitress to show the cook the in-eaten pile of gristle. His answer was "we will try to do better next time ". Not personally, but to the waitress. Other meals were ordinary so we won't be back.
