Brilliant outback pub. The staff are fantastic friendly and helpful. The restaurant is great. We recommend the bull bar plate or goat curry. The camel burger is also recommended. A friendly pub with lots of history. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Great food. Had the camel rib eye steak for a new experience. We had an outside cabin which was fairly basic but was comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Marree.

Had around 4 hours in Marree & based ourselves at the pub.

Started with an excellent coffee & muffin in the dining area which also houses a small display on Campbell & his land speed record.

Also has a dining room housing great tribute to Tom Kruse, the Birdsville postman. Great story.

Next dining room has story of John McDouall Stuart, an outback Explorer who was 1st south to north & back (& did a few more times investigating train & telegraph).

Plenty of accommodation options (inck campung out back), with a nice bar with memorabilia & souvenirs.

Marree has a small but interesting Railway Museum, Australia\'s 1st mosque, Lake Eyre yacht club & service station/shop. Other accommodation available in addition to pub.

Sadly we were a week early for the Marree Camel Cup. Marree is base for Birdsville & Oodnadatta tracks & has airport accessing Lake Eyre.

Friendly managers with good local knowledge, so great to have a chat with, there is a large breakfast room with lots of information/mini book library and fresh brewed good coffee!
Couple of historic dining rooms, several bar areas and a fire pit outside. Rooms are simple and basic, they could do with better lighting, and once the 1st story balcony is open will be 100% better. Not noisy at all at night.

Our recent adventure was focused on trying to see Kat Thanda - Lake Eyre while it is containing water. The closest we could get to be able to access a flight was Marree. We couldn't have been more fortunate in discovering the Marree hotel. Our room was fine however it was the extraordinary dining experience and amazing staff that truly exceeded our expectations. The food offerings were delicious and all the staff were a delight and extremely efficient. Loved our time here so very much!!
