We recently had a function at the Marine Hotel in Brighton and could not have been more impressed and delighted with the venue and all the staff at the Marine Hotel.
From our first meeting when we were looking at venues, to the birthday celebration, the function Manager stood out as being the most welcoming and helpful and continued to provide all the information and options available and accommodate our requests. Parking for the guests was easy, the Stables Room had loads of character and light and the tables were set up beautifully.
A big shout out to the chefs too. The food was absolutely delicious and all the guests were extremely complimentary of the 2 course meal. I have received so many messages from our guests complimenting the food and the venue and everyone had a fabulous time.
The staff looking after our function were extremely helpful, attentive and accommodating and worked hard to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Thanks Marine Hotel staff !! We'll definitely be back and so will our guests.

Came here for a group lunch and had the fish of the day. Happy with the fish when it came out, it was cooked to perfection. Lots of delicious food on their menu. I look forward to coming back and try more so I can bump up the star rating.

We had lunch on a weekday in the newly renovated restaurant. It was a perfect meal in a perfect environment. The renovations and alterations are great. The restaurant had a real 5 star feel to it. The menu prices were very reasonable as well.

The experience was fantastic. The atmosphere is incredibly inviting and delightful. The cuisine and service are exceptional. The staff is highly knowledgeable and provides excellent suggestions.

Venue exceeded expectations, the interior is quite modern and clean for something that alluded to being an average local pub. Service was friendly but a bit hit and miss, our drinks never arrived and the parma that I requested as no ham came with.

$20 parma and pot Tuesdays is excellent value but given my husband ate his before mine arrived due to the poor attention to detail of the kitchen it wasn't the greatest experience though I enjoyed the meal and would return

Very basic meal. Veal . Smaller than expected for $35. Service was efficient . Fries were ordinary. Why not prepare chips. I would suggest a lower food cost and memorable.

We recently celebrated an event for our daughter in The Stable at the Marine Hotel and were truley delighted by the outcome. Sarah was great in assisting coordinate the event with prompt reliable communication; assistance in preparation of the menu options and helping out her team on the night. The staff were really friendly, approachable and professional.
The Stable is a great room with flexible set up options based on the number of guests. All of our guests were impressed by the quality of the food and service provided. Thanks again to all of the team for a great night that was enjoyed by everyone in attendance!

Had dinner at the Marine last night and it was amazing. We had the Steak & Shiraz special for $30 bucks and the steaks were so tender and juicy. It was our first time there after getting a recommendation from a friend and we will definitely be back.

On Saturday June 11, 2022 we hosted our daughter's 18th Birthday in 'The Stirling Room' and we received nothing but sterling service all the way! From Lois who showed us around and took our booking, to Sarah who communicated with us about our function, to Ben who helped us set up and Ani, Ella, Stew & Sammii who waited on us on the night - we can only sing their praises! They were all extremely friendly, professional and polite, ensuring that the night went smoothly and without any issues. All of our guests were thrilled with the quality of the food and the quantity! 'The Sterling Room' itself was an amazingly private space that we were able to decorate so beautifully. It was a wonderful night and we would like to thank everyone for making our daughter feel special!

The Marine Hotel has been renovated, and the former dining area is now split into two - a gaming area and a bar. There is also a restaurant, which we thought we had booked, but were told we were in the bar. Instead of an open, spacious area for dining, tables were pretty crowded by comparison. Instead of chairs, most tables were tall with tall stools. There were TVs at the booths, and all along the walls, showing all sorts of sports (and adverts), with music playing at a reasonable volume. Staff still don't take orders, being bar food and all. And none of the staff that I saw were wearing masks. The Marine Hotel is no longer a place of relaxation, sadly.

The place is nothing like it used to be, with minimal food options. Even asking if a dish had onions in it was now not possible, so I've no idea what was in the food I ordered (gluten free ham and pineapple pizza). The meals were pretty bland, judging from what our party said (though the fish and chips were good). The steak was whitish on the inside, which we all found to be very strange, but it apparently tasted okay. There were only two desserts - sticky date pudding, or ice-cream.

While we didn't get to eat in the restaurant part, the menu's prices were relatively extensive, and the menu items were much fancier than the options before the renovations.

We won't be returning, as this is not what we were wanting at all.

This is a large, nice-looking, modern bistro with good food. Meals can be adjusted for people with food intolerances, but not otherwise. The bistro would do better with staff taking orders from the table, but is otherwise good.

One of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Perfectly cooked tender, medium rare porterhouse w/ mushroom sauce, salad & fries. My dining partner had the seafood linguini that was also fabulous. Most impressed chef ??'?‍🍳

Next Visit:
We thought the steak served in the Atrium Bar was fabulous only to be surpassed by the Porterhouse, MS 4+ 'Jacks Creek', NSW we enjoyed in their Dining Room. We've loved all the dishes we have tried thus far and hopefully, in time, they will be able to expand their menu. Friendly, helpful staff .... thanks to Ben for looking after us in the dining room, and we look forward to our next visit!

Attended venue for a function. Neat venue. Barman kept me in drinks. Good atmosphere.

Great venue. Lots of different areas to enjoy. Cute staff with awesome attitude and professional at all times. Delicious food on offer and a really cool and friendly crowd.

Dinner in the restaurant was great. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the meal. The whole place is Beautifully renovated. Great use of the space. Lots of room to move around.

We went to the restaurant for the first time since it reopened. The food was nothing special. Meals were very small and not good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful although need more training. Considering the prices, we expected more.

This place is shot. It opened 2 weeks ago and have been here many times since. Tonight I was told if I leave the premises to get my atm card out of the car to get more money, I wasn't allowed back in. Last week when the hotel was still under construction, and tonight it still is. It was ok to leave the premises to have a smoke ect last week but not tonight. Apparently it's government regulation...... why wasn't it this way last week???? Apparently now I have been barred for questioning this 🙄🙄🙄🙄. Absolutely pack of idiots. I would not recommend at all, as both staff were on a power trip 🙄
