We went here for lunch and it was okay. They were very busy but we were able to get a clean table and ordering didn't take too long. The wait was very reasonable and quite fast for how busy they were. The chips and two scallops (in the seafood basket) were the highlight of the meal, cooked perfectly and salty. Unfortunately, the fish, prawns and squid were over cooked and rubbery. For the price of the meals, it was disappointing. The atmosphere was nice with a lovely view and everything was clean and well stocked by the staff.

I just paid $55 for this!?!?

The frozen fish in the box at woolworths is bigger, tastier and cheaper. I used to come here all the time but, I will not return.

It's what you bring with you that adds value to a great experience. The Lighthouse Crew works hard at one of the busiest takeaway places in Mackay. Having the right attitude and thanking the crew for their efforts makes an important difference to your experience and theirs. It's always great food, service, and views. For work or pleasure, it's always been a great experience. Thankyou 🙂

The food was not even enough to call a meal for the family and nowhere near the $98 charged. We had considered that the ridiculous bill may have been due to being a public holiday and an included surcharge, but when the receipt was checked, it was not mentioned. It was simply a disgrace for that amount and we will not be back.

Best fish & chips we've had since arriving in Mackay 2 years ago.
