Dropped in at 750 pm on Monday night after a long work day, to be greeted with humility, humour and gratitude by Trina.
We had 3 minutes until the kitchen closed and she held the chefs back to cook our 3 parmas. (As a past chef, this is annoying as you can imagine).
The service was impeccable and Trina made us feel very welcome, homely as my colleague described it.

For a rural RSL you couldn't ask for more. Clean, tidy, and organised.

Only complaint would be the sauce/gravy was way to thick, but understandable as of our lateness. Taste was good.

I went for the first time in 20 years. I was impressed by the staff, every single one of them was very friendly and helpful. The food was pretty good and it's a nice atmosphere. I will go a few more times and if I keep enjoying I'll sign up as a member. I'm pretty sure they also have poker machines which I'm pleased to say, I could not see from the bistro.

The lady (think her name was Trina) was very friendly even though there were only 2 staff in the dining room who were run off their feet but yet pushed through and still smiled and offered great service. Think they both deserved a medal. AAA+++ Will most definitely return.

Had lunch here for the first time today and very happy with it. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is excellent.
My companion had a beautifully cooked medium rare porterhouse with chips and salad, and I opted for the board special of beef stroganoff. This was really good because the beef was tender and not smothered in a thick sauce, but lightly coated in the sauce. Highly recommend and we will certainly return.

I tend to keep coming back to this venue when I am in Leongatha to catch up with friends or for any other purpose. I know what to expect from the meals but I would like to commend all of the bar staff and the staff in the bistro for their friendliness, efficient service and such beautiful smiles and welcoming attitude. It brings me back all the time because it is the staff that make a venue and the RSL in Leongatha definitely have great staff that add to the venue. Love this place.

We were seated at a table by one of the girls in the bistro and just as we sat down were told the table was already taken by a very stressed staff member. We were sat next to a table with 3 very badly behaved children and we decided to leave without ordering as the whole experience was not going well. I don't think we'll be back 😕

Poor service , expensive meals . My wife could not eat her cabonara as it was over powered with basil beyond the point of being eatable . My pork ribs were nice but for $38 I would of expected more than 4 ribs the size of a pinky finger, i asked for vegetables and i got a packet mix of peas and corn. The kids meals came out last after the adults meals which is poor organising in the kitchen. The place was not busy and somehow the waiters were nowhere to be seen but were very happy to not talk to us and turn the lights off. Would not recommend. Go to maccas you will get better service and at least they will have available options, Unlike here that's literally in the middle of cattle country but somehow had no steaks available or any burgers because they had no buns . What a joke. Also looks like it hasn't been updated since it was opened in 1952. Keep driving don't stop

A great local RSL with excellent meals and very friendly staff. I love the way your wine glass is filled to the top. Nearby parking always seems to be available. We live an hour away but it is worth the trip.

Had my first date he with my partner over 9 years ago.
We love dining out here as a family.
We made it a fortnightly thing every Wednesday before covid.

Only down fall is, we often would come before a movie at the cinema. With young kids, we couldn't go too late. We have had to walk away and go elsewhere a few times due to not being open. 5pm opening would be great.

Bistro and bathroom clean. Friendly staff. Good service. We ordered the Starters Arroncini balls $15 and Baked Potato $16. Arroncini serve was exceptionally small for $15 & presentation could be improved. Baked Potato was delicious and adequate as a starter but again, presentation is lacking.

We did lunch and ordered a Parma which was great and on Tuesday and Fridays it's $22 with a drink. Normal price is $27 which I wouldn't pay $27 for this for lunch or dinner at a RSL.
The pie is actually stew with a pastry top. Not enough gravy but still nice enough.
I found this to be an expensive lunch meal, the prices would be fine for dinner though.
