If you want to loose a lot of money really quick then this is for you but if not then my suggestion would be to find somewhere else to play the pokies every time I've been here 10 in total I've always walked out broke

Been taking mum to the pokies for 25 years there although we live in Glenroy. Today at 1.00pm Sunday, my elderly mother won a minor on the machine which disappeared, she called the young girl who was juggling a few patrons simply said bad luck, I can't do anything about it and walked off. I personally will be calling The gaming head office to complain about the staff & the venue. I'll never set foot there again. A young man employed there walking around looking like he was on something and needs proper training. The toilet lights werent working a few weeks ago which was a trip hazard for the elderly, staff back stab & gossip, I'm appalled

To the extremely rude Asian lady that was supposed to be manning the cashiers box, I asked her to cash my pokie ticket, she rudley said the change machine is around the corner, and as I have never been here before I didn't know where it was , she was so rude, as part of the cashiers job is to cash your customers tickets . we will never return here , you should be fired for treating customers so poorly

Last time we went it was closed for a function. Would have been nice to have that on the website so we did not have to turn up to find out.

It's basically been cactus here since covid. It beggars belief what it's become. It's basically just a sports bar, TAB and gaming room. All pretence of being family pub has gone as the back dining room, which was once quite nice, is all closed up including the back terrace. It's all rather sad but presumably the owners are looking to redevelop it here, hopefully nicely in such a good area. We had a couple of drinks here today and a couple of pizzas which were surprisingly edible. The young barman was doing a good job here. He deserves a pay rise

Despite fact there was only one other group (of 3!) in attendance, we had a great tine. Service was fantastic, Virgil is very attentive and so lovely. Plus he cook's up a good snack (chicken tenders and chips)

Atmosphere was lacking however, as we didn't have to wait to play pool (we were the only ones playing yay!), and the Tigers won.... I reckon it's worth 4 stars (minus 1 star due to no other person joining us in a chorus of the Richmond song.

Great setup for function. But the let down was the wait time for being served for drinks. You need more bar staff.

Great staff cold beer pity the bistro is no longer operating.

We had a week stay very comfortable and clean. Close to shops and restaurants also to the rail station.

Clean and great atmosphere.
Young worker last name stuckey/ Bottomley serves me with the upmost professionalism, always has a smile and small talks. He is fast at meeting my needs and is of great character. Absolute asset to the company and is manager material.

Keep up the good work. Always such a pleasure to come to the Ivanhoe hotel.

Terrible don't bother
The bar tender said to us that the beer was too bubbly. The beer was stale like the lines hadn't been cleaned in months

The bistro is only available for private functions now, gaming venue downstairs is open late, staff pleasant, nice coffee late at night.
Sadly they have security that are useless, girl sits in on the lounge chairs talking on her mobile the whole time, wouldn't call that very secure especially at 3am in the morning, wouldn't go on my own if that's what's meant to keep the venue safe.

Wouldn't go here, establishment discriminates against woman. Very unjustified behaviour from the staff, it's 2022 stop sexualising woman's bodies and asking people to leave because you deem them dressed inappropriately- you're a crusty sports bar, get a grip.

Great place to catch up with mates. Has a two story parking on sitem. Also has parking just over the side street.

Good pub grub.

I was having a few beverages and I was trying to watch some japan travel videos and the nice lady at the bar muted MAFS that was on the TV. Which I thought was really nice.

It's not like it use to be. There is no atmosphere. It's just a convenient place to meet up with friends before you head off to find a nice restaurant

Great hotel, clean and fresh. Fantastic service and food. Huge underground and out back parking. Has function area, seating areas, pokie and TAB options.

Nice family atmosphere. Food is what you expect: good and nothing fancy. Serves are reasonable, especially the kids menu (less waste).
Small playground for young kids, quite a big space for kids to run around and view on the area.
