Dined here tonight, the meals were top class.
We had the chefs specials, the Pork schnitzel, wife had the chicken breast with camembert.

Both were absolutely delicious.

The manager Michael came to our table and asked were we happy with the meals. Was not expecting a visit at a hotel.
We told him that they were delicious, and the wait staff and prep staff were excellent too.

Highly recommend a meal here.

Will probably have another dinner before moving on.

A bloody great Pub with friendly staff and customers.
The only problem I had was the great looking rump steaks, cooked to perfection, but in the cooking process the Chef used far too much salt to bring out the flavour to such an extent that the salt burnt my wife and my mouth. Such a shame as we were having a good night.

PS, I noticed after looking at the reviews I found the good ones got a reply but only a small percentage of the negative did.
Sad as it's the small insignificant reviews that help to make a great establishment.

Lovely friendly pub with good food. met with the manager Michael who was very welcoming and helpful, directing us to some of the best tourist spots in the area.
We will come again in our trip home.

I could drive around Australia, trying country pubs crumbed steaks. Pub I'm sure this chef decided to leave some big-smoke, fancy restaurant for a tree-change, to bless this little town!

And Tuesday nights', the second meal is half price....Woo Hoo!

After visiting the Metropole I doubt I will ever return. The large bartender behind the bar is probably the rudest person I have every encountered, the barmaids were lovely, but he is rude, obnoxious and in my opinion should work anywhere else but a bar
