Not bad for a "local watering hole"...... Mostly visited by those who live within a few minutes drive - or a cheap uber ride. The food is pretty good. Gets a good crowd Friday night around dinner... A few different sections which is good. Heaps of screens in the main bar area and in the TAB section. Lots of pokies. Most of the staff seem nice and the service is usually good. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

We visited tonight for a casual Sunday night meal. As always, we were not disappointed. Staff were fantastic. Thank you Deb, Ella, Lachie and Alex. Compliments to the chef. The prawn and chorizo gnocchi was one of the best I've had.

Tonight myself and my friend came out for dinner. We had outstanding service from Eloise. She got us a lovely desert for my friend who is gluten free and it turned out as a beautiful pavlova with cream, fruit AND ice cream! Just want to pass on our thanks to the staff and especially Eloise!!

Recently went to the HP with my wife. Our relationship has been rocky recently due to some financial and health issues. Somehow , josh behind the bar really rekindled our relationship and now that spark between us is as alive as ever. Great food, great beer, staff that fix marriages, what else could you ask for. I had a great experience at the HP. A family member of mine had a medical episode and the bartender Josh was quick to act and put her in the recovery position. I truly believe he saved her. He provided great service to our table and may have saved my family member.

Fantastic food and service as per usual. This is our local go to and we always leave impressed. Great for a local pub feed and even better to watch big footy games. Couldn't recommend it more highly!

Great service from the staff at my visit the other night. Always appreciate being able to park the wheelchair at the bar. The outback chicken schnitzel was a highlight! Tristan had great knowledge of the beers on tap. Will definitely come back.

Decided to take my grandparents out to the HP for a great value meal tonight and it was the best pub experience we've had in a long time. The bistro food was excellent and we were served by a friendly lad named Alex, plus the oldies loved the pristine gaming machines, 10/10 all round!

We were so happy we chose the Holland Park Hotel to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday with family and friends. With a group booking of 30 people, every person attending commented on the exceptional quality of meals and amazing service. A special mention must go to Deb, Eloise,Jake and Tristan, who managed our large group with such professional and efficient service. Always a smile on their faces! Compliments to the chef! Thank you all again. What a wonderful venue.

Came in on Friday for beers & dinner. Had a rump steak and wow was it good! Service was great, friendly, helpful staff. I will definitely be back next week!

I was delighted to be served by a very handsome young lad named Alex. He was caring and professional and slightly resembled Jesus, which as a committed Christian myself, I was most thrilled to see. His actions and demeanour were biblically accurate, as his service was angelic - and something I will never forget. I had the burger and chips. It's actually a double beef paddy. Paid $20 at the time which makes it cheaper than other burgers in other hotels. Very full after! Highly recommend... 😁

Not happy with the $34 barramundi crusted macadamia. We were missing main ingredients of avocado, red onion and cherry tomatoes. The chat potatoes looked days old. We won't be back for quite a while. This used to be a great place to come for a night out.

Update-The manager did offer us a refund. We didn't accept but thank you.

We had our company Christmas lunch here, a nice place with good selection of meals and drinks on offer, will definitely come back again with family.

It was my first time having dinner at the Holland Park Hotel bistro and must I say it was the most delightful experience. We were seated promptly and had the best customer service. After being sat for a while, we checked the menu and went up to the bar to order instead of using the QR code. We had a good yarn with the lovely curly haired bartender called Josh. He was kind enough to take all of our orders and the food came promptly. 10/10 would eat here again.

A few of us go there one or twice a month on a Saturday for a beer or 10 and a punt (facilities 10 out of 10 for those who like a flutter) and then to watch the football - the staff are great and always happy to find the particular game we want to watch.

I've only had a few bar feeds there but some of the others, who dine with family there on a regular basis, reckon it's good value for money!!!

Excellent meals and very friendly service. Kitchen staff are wonderful chefs who demonstrate outstanding teamwork and are very considerate to all customer needs. Wait staff are polite and welcoming and provide prompt and courteous service. Great food which is full of flavour. I would highly recommend the Holland Park Hotel. A true local place which is well managed to meet friends and family for any occasion.

Without doubt THE BEST tavern food I have ever had. We have been to over 30 different ALH taverns in the last year in so many different cities in Australia and this trumps all of them hands-down. The chef's should be very proud of their food and I hope management sees that. The steak had so much flavour and every other accompaniment on the plate was full of flavour too. Will be returning for sure. Thank you!

We had our Lions changeover dinner with thirty guests and arranged a set 2 course menu alternate drop. Excellent meals had by all in attendance. A great place to have a function with overhead projector available which we used on the night.

Food
Five of us dined, and two chose the 200g grazier's eye fillet steaks with chips and salad, one had the beer battered fish and chips, one had a burger and I had my fav meatballs with mash, peas and gravy. Meals are expertly prepared with love, care and attention to detail and presented to the table on stylish white crockery. The steaks were tender, tasty and flavoursome. My meatballs had a firm and well cooked texture and were perfectly complemented by the creamy mash and fresh garden peas, with the whole concoction smothered in a rich, tangy gravy. I took advantage of the "seniors meal deal" where for only another $3, I received a slice of carrot cake with vanilla icing and a dollop of cream. The perfect way to end the meal.

Ordering & Service
I'm finally starting to warm to the self-ordering app, and this is how the staff prefer you to order. You can now link your Monty's Rewards card to the app, to ensure that you get the 5% discount. I spoke to staff beforehand and they assured me that if we couldn't handle the app ordering, they would take our orders in the old fashioned way, but it wasn't necessary. After placing our orders, the drinks were swiftly brought to the table, but after that we waited about 25 minutes for main courses. That did give us time to enjoy our drinks, and whilst I appreciate that the place was quite full, it would be nice to have slightly faster service. But again on the pos side, we found all the staff to be polite and helpful, and it was nice to see them neatly turned out in smart blue uniforms with the H.P. Hotel logo on the breast pocket.

Ambience
As with all A.L.H. Group Hotels, the ambience is super casual, relaxed and laid back. We always enjoy ourselves at A.L.H. Venues and the H.P. was no exception. The interior is carpeted, with high ceilings, strong lighting, wooden panels and comfortable furniture. This works well to create a warm, homely and welcoming ambience. Tables are well spaced out making for excellent acoustics and we were easily able to converse. Being a Sunday afternoon, there was a decent turnout which gave it a lively vibe. There are a few different dining spaces to choose from, each with their own merits. We chose the main area in the middle of the venue and even though it was a chilly winter's day, it was as warm as toast inside.

Cost
Prices are extremely reasonable, especially if you're a Monty's Rewards Club Member, which will give you a 5% discount off everything inc drinks. All up, for five of us, we paid a modest 166 pesos for three schooners, a G & T, five main meals and a dessert. You can't beat that for value for money at any comparable restaurant. Thanks to the A.L.H. Group, the owner of this, and many other fab pub venues around Bris-Vegas, for managing to keep prices low, especially for seniors who are struggling against this tidal wave of soaring prices.

Toilets & Parking
Toilets are spotlessly clean, well provisioned and easy to find, with ample male and female cubicles. Parking is a breeze in the huge parking area behind the venue, which it shares with the popular Dan Murphy's liquor store. That makes it extra convenient to be able to stock up the liquor cabinet before you leave for home.

Summary
We had a sterling afternoon at the H.P. Hotel, and everyone enjoyed it. I especially love the calm, relaxed and unhurried vibe while the tastefully decorated interior creates a warm and homely ambience. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Food is of the highest quality and prices are moderate, especially for Monty's Rewards Club members and seniors. Add to that, clean and well provisioned toilets and plenty of free parking right outside the hotel, and you have all the ingredients for a fun afternoon or night out with friends or family.

What i liked: Staff were very attentive and helpful.
Seafood was excellent.
What i didn't like: Very ordinary roast meats and lack of green veg.Ordinary salad.Very ordinary desserts..no custard or cream or Xmas pudding or Xmas cake.
The venue was too small and congested for a buffet setting.
Not very Christmassy at all.

The Holland Park pub has a great open plan with a really good vibe about it. I used to go there as a young adult and now it's had some renovations it's really lifted it's game!! Fab meals, tab, and ripper gaming room open til 4am daily!

Five of our family visited for my mum's 91st birthday. We all had different meals and we were all very impressed with the quality and taste of the food. The service was great as well.

Visiting from Tasmania I found it to be a very enjoyable experience. The staff were truly wonderful especially a female (whose name I have forgotten) who took the time to talk to my great grandsons who were getting restless. Complimentary bowl of ice-cream did the trick. Food was excellent. 5 stars from me.

I mistakenly only gave this much loved pub 3 Stars when I first rated it. That wasn't fair because it has always been a consistently welcoming and pleasant place to relax in. The food served in the restaurant is always good and the staff are pleasant. The side bar could be noticed a little more often but if you are in a hurry 5 more steps to the right will get you noticed

I am part of a local Lions club and we meet at the Holland Park Hotel twice a month. Their food is fantastic especially their steaks. The staff are very inviting and friendly. Great place for a meal!!
