The place was beautiful. When we arrived it was quiet busy, we were greeted by a worker I think it was Mark such a calm, kind and helpful team member going above and beyond our expectations and greeted us with exceptional service and a beautiful smile, an absolute asset to the company! Absolutely made our stay a memorable one. Will definitely return if near the area. Place was clean had everything we needed and was beautiful and quiet. Thank you for having us! ❤️

Checked in on 18/07/24 and was faced with a lovey receptionist staff which gave this a saving additional staff.

Following which , portable heater offered doesn't work and room carpets were not cleaned but otherwise big and spacious.

What truly was deplorable was the attitude of the morning staff on the 19/07/24. She ignored me when I walked up to her saying "good
Morning , I want to check out". Uncertain if this was due to the fact I was Asian as I saw her greet a non-Asian happily after . Furthermore , as I was talking to her , her phone rang she decided to pick it up and not even address me as I was just trying to check out . I tried to put the check out cards in the express checkout box and she blocked me and took it rom me without saying a single word. So utterly rude and not trained in basic hospitality. Simple feedback to improve this to anyone, learn basic courtesy to speak to somebody when spoken to.

Would not stay here again.

By far the best accommodation we stayed in on our North Queensland trip. We stayed twice in two weeks. Both times staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotless clean and perfect for both of our overnight stays. Highly recommend.

The rooms were very clean and well-appointed, we could even keep a few grocery items as there is a kitchenette in each room. The Hotel is very centrally located and easy to access, we had a great view of the harbour which looked amazing at night.

We were more than surprised how amazing this hotel was from the moment we opened the door. And then I saw the washer and dryer and was elated. Clean. Quiet. Comfy. Really can't give it a higher score. Easy check in & out, great staff. Onsite restaurant with great food and service. Can't get any better. Not upscale luxury, but absolutely no complaints.

Pretty happy with our stay. Bed was very comfy and the kitchenette was great. The noisy cars and bikes could he heard through the glass doors but thankfully, it was mostly quiet at night. Not much happening in that end of town though.. not much happening in the town at all really.

Welcomed on arrival. Staff are professional and available for assistance. Restaurant is within building and room service had food arrive hot. The room is well designed. Location fantastic for walking and close to shopping. Balcony room with good views.

Perfect location in the city centre of Gladstone. It was close to all major amenities. The only negative comment I have is the reception we received. The lack of information provided such information about the hotel like pool, car parking gym. It would have sufficed if they mentioned that any information can be accessed on the TV in the room. We only found out later in the evening because there were no pamphlets about the area for visitors etc. The receptionist went straight to the payment of our stay. We were quite blown away by the size of the room. The room was pretty spacious and fully furnished with washing machine, iron and ironing board, dryer, nice comfy bed, a fully functional kitchen with basic utensils ,lounge chair, dining table and chairs, a large refrigerator, toaster, microwave and your own balcony . The pool area is okay, and there is a mini gym available. There is also a restaurant available. Overall, we have a wonderful time at this place. 🎊🎊🎊

We stayed here for one night in order to catch Heron Island Ferry next morning since it's only 3 mins drive from the Marina. The room is quite spacious, and the service is great. Surprisingly, the food at the cafe is quite good and it opens early in the morning which is fantastic.

Really helpful staff. Good sized modern rooms, comfortable beds, well located near the centre of Gladstone.

I was excited to stay at the Oaks Grand being a previous Gladstone resident. Great location, great room, shame we didn't get a great view from our room, great dinner and breaky downstairs. Pool & Gym was a lot smaller than expected but was fine.

We Stayed in room 803 over the weekend and it was awesome. The views were stunning, It was clean, decent shower pressure and Roz at reception was super friendly and helpful

I spend 80% of the year in different 4 or 5 star hotels for work, and the concierge staff here are truly amazing. 24/7 staffing is a rarity and a god send if you forget your swipe card. But on top of that, the concierge service were so helpful, gave me a sheet of A4 paper I needed, lent me a PC computer mouse for a few hours that I desperately needed. My cooktop didn't work and concierge comped my dinner for the night and had it repaired the next day.
I lobby definitely has a 5 star atmosphere, with the scented candles and the power stations for work laptops or phones are so helpful.
I would definitely stay again, but have include some specifics for future guests.

Location: central location walking distance from servo, maccas, coffee club and about a 20min walk to Woolworths

Suggestions for hotel
- Hotel Library card or a shared hotel bookcase, there isn't a single bookshop in Gladstone, closest is Rockhampton except Big W
- Option to Heat room as well as Cool, get very cold overnight
- Option to leave rubbish out, if you opt out of daily cleaning or are a shift worker then there is no rubbish chute
- Because power to room shuts off upon leaving, it is difficult to do laundry while out/at work consider making specific powerpoints not dependent on this, or giving guest staying >3days a 2nd room key, I was able to get another key from reception

Rooms are ok. They have decent beds with sliding door dividers for the bedroom from living space. Shower is decently strong. Gym is definitely not a gym, just a small room with treadmill, bike and water rowing machine

There has been a recent big effort to improve the associated restaurant ("Oak and Vine"). Beds are comfy, good water pressure in the showers, rooms are clean, and service is good.

This hotel does not disappoint. From check-in to check-out my stay was fantastic. The staff were very friendly, polite, professional and smartly dressed. They even greeted me by name when our paths crossed.
My room was a good size and gave me great views of the city and sea. The room was clean and felt modern, and had all the white goods you would need to keep yourself fed and watered; and if you didn't want to cook there was room service from either the nearby Oak & Ridge restaurant or a The Coffee Club cafè.
There is a swimming pool here but I didn't use it so can't say anymore about it.
The hotel is in a good location and there are a great deal of cafès, restaurants, pubs, sports bars and attractions within walking distance.
There is secure underground parking and there were always spaces available throughout my stay.
I had a great experience staying at The Oaks and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Always a pretty decent feed here and good beers on tap. Would've had one more star if the staff were more pleasant and welcoming.

Emergency night at the Oaks when Qantas cancelled my flight. Helen who gave the last room was friendly and very helpful. On checkout, the staff were great and made sure Molly taxi booking was on the way. Room was large and very comfortable.

I was desperately helping my parents get a room after they have been in an accident and couldn't drive home as they lived out of town. Special mention to Cherry and Maria for being so polite and helpful. I rang Oaks very late at night and they didn't turn me down like the other hotels i rang that i knew had free rooms as i have friends there. Big ups for Oaks on customer service and hospitality. I will be staying here for future trips to Gladstone from now on. They even lent my parents a charging block as this was an unplanned stay. Keep it up guys. 12/10 stars for service, training and hospitality.

Found the advertising for this place slightly deceptive - the one bedroom apartments are exactly the same size floor-plate as the studios except with a partition installed to create the 'bedroom' so don't expect the separation of spaces, privacy and general space that you would from a proper one bedder with proper walls.

Pool is much smaller and unimpressive when compared to the hotels bright blue promotional photos.

Apart from that it is reasonable value for money - clean rooms with awesome views from the balconies. Free parking and cafe and pub right downstairs which is really convenient for food. Great location right in the centre of town. If you're looking for something mid-range and good value this is the place.

I recently spent 3 weeks here in room 812 and it was not all it's cracked up to be. The rooms stunk, windows were all mouldy, some lights didn't work, range hood didn't work properly, dryer didn't work properly, shower head was blocked and mouldy and im sure there is more ive missed. Room cleaning was sometimes strung out for 8-9 days. We had approximately 20 rooms booked at this time and most of the blokes had similar or worse issues.

Good service, lovely well-appointed and well-provosioned room with a wonderful view. Convenient location in the heart of town, with good parking. Well priced.

Met at reception with smiling faces and friendly service. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. There was a great little kitchenette and comfortable lounge in the suite. A very comfortable bed made the night very restful. Still confused by the window into/out of the toilet, but hey, whatever floats your boat

The reception staff were very professional and room was clean and comfortable. A few things that stick with me are I left my phone charger in room and called to see if cleaning staff found it of course they didn't. Second the pub this due for a upgrade bar stools are due for replacement as most are torn and rip and not comfortable. Final thing the bar staff and manager need to be more professional no need to consistently swear and take smoke breaks I stood waiting to get served for 5 mins even the locals said can't complain about the serve as there is none.

Lucky enough to be staying over Easter! Wonderful view of the fireworks! That was a bonus, with the Port views! Nice rooms, very tidy, clean, comfortable. Definitely stay here next time!

Couldn't think of anything more they could improve on. We left a battery charger and they rang us to arrange returning it. Loved it

Gorgeous accommodation and the comfiest bed I 've slept in. Had to book a second night it was so lovely. Kitchen, laundry, balcony just everything you need and spotlessly clean and fresh.

An outstanding apartment hotel, parking on site and plentiful, reception staff lovely and helpful. The room was amazing for less than $100 with incredible view, appliances, including washing machine and tumble dryer, cosy bed and pillows. Bathroom clean and even a view from the toilet. Great location in town with plenty of restaurants nearby.

Great service by the friendly staff at reception. The rooms are modern and have absolutely everything you could need. There's even a coffee club in floor 2 !!

Really great hotel, nice furnished, clean comfy bed. We had a room on the 7th floor and had a gorgeous sunset from our balcony. Everything was great! Hard to fault (maybe the pool is too small... why didn't they put it in the roof?!) would recommend.

I've never written an unfavorable review but mate, you have to do something about your barman! Continuously wiping his nose while serving, non stop! Even when passing packets of chips and drinks. 12.45pm 1st Jan 2021

Lovely smiley service, communication via email didn't exist. Balcony covered in ash, table and chairs not cleaned, view isn't like the pictures. Bed is very hard. We are into our 1st night of 4.

The room was nice and clean. However it was very hot on arrival and aircon would not work. No instructions in room meant several calls to reception to get it working. No info on local restaurants and attractions in room either. It would be nice to put aircon on prior to guest arrival so that they do not have to stay in hot room.

AAA+ Answered my call 530 am I got a room and checked in. I was super tired from driving late night from brisbane. I tried 6 different hotels and only the oaks gave me booking. The room I've got is 7 ******* flipping Awesome and receptionist Girl should get a raise thank you.
