Stayed here last minute after car troubles. Booked online immediately prior to getting our key for the room. Waited at reception for a while before having to go find staff to serve us. The room itself was tidy and organised. There was a slight mouldy smell, looked like kettle hadn't been used or cleaned properly - which is where the mouldy smell was assumably from. The cutlery in the room was all dirty and the provided appliances weren't that clean. The TV in the room was not letting us connect to the wifi at all, after numerous tries we called the hotel staff who told us they'd have to reset the TV and were unsure if the internet even reached out there - regardless, we were trying to connect via our own hotspot so it didn't matter... The aircon was great, the beds were comfortable and had plenty of provided blankets. There was an extension lead included in the room too & a well kept ensuite.

Overall for a last minute stay it was only worth the $80 we paid for the room. Still recommended if you're desperately needing a place to stay.

Long story short, we accidently dropped a wedding reception for 70 people on them with about half a day's notice. They handled it so well, no one would have known they didn't have a week to prepare. The seating arrangements, the decorations, how quickly they prepared and served the meals, absolutely everything went perfectly. My wife and I have both decided, if we ever get married again, this is where the reception will be!

Had the best lamb curry I have ever eaten, from the specials board. I hope they announce their daily specials on Facebook because if that's on the menu I am definitely there.

Stayed here for one night prior to taking Queensland Rail to Brisbane. Decent and clean room. Old style A/C unit, no remote control. Large fridge and there was even a microwave. Appreciated the complementary cereal and milk for brekky. Slow Wifi. pub food was quite good. Excellent beef burger and tasty chicken strips.

The room itself was clean, comfortable and had all amenities needed. That's where it ends. The adjoining door to our room meant we could hear the neighbours even down to a crisp packet rustling. There were people coming from bar to rooms until just after midnight which was also clear to hear.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, possibly too honest though! Upon asking 'can we walk anywhere nice from here for dinner/evening' we were told to not walk around the area after dark at all. This immediately caused some worry but thankfully we didn't see any issues or come across anything. Safe to say we didn't hang around the area at all, and just came back to go to bed for the night.

The room itself was nice and it's a shame about location and soundproofing issues.
