Good pub food! Fast and friendly service.

Celebrating my birthday at 68, in one of our favourite pubs. Reception was great, admin assistance was brilliant, bar and food service excellent. 1 point off the atmosphere as the fire was ooo so we could not sit near it. 🥴🍷🍷
I recommend the pumpkin soup and the salmon, the fisherman's basket, the Wolf Blass Merlot. 😃

Update
Went for dinner recently and the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond making a vegetarian meal for my daughter etc. Food was amazing and reasonable price especially kids meal and seniors.
We got soup, vegan burger, roast and mash etc and was great.

Old review:
The food is great from here except it's not that cheap. I love the pumpkin feta arancini, the salt & pepper calamari, side salad & the sweet potato chips but its 10$ for 3 arancini balls or a thing of sweet potatoe chips so it adds up.
They do uber & are open every day from 12 so it's very convenient.
I've only ever ordered takeaway during lockdown so not sure what it is like to eat in but I would like to try it. Recomend.

Chicken Kiev ordered via Uber eats wa raw inside. Unfortunately, only noticed when I had finished most of it. At least it was cheap compared to other uber eats restaurants

The other food I ordered was fine (Garlic bread and dessert), and never ordered from grand hotel previously, so could just be a once off (but definitely keep this in mind )

Fantastic food, rib eye steak was perfectly cooked med rare, caesar salad fantastic and salmon beautiful. Worth every cent!
Will return for more steak.

Food good quality but you get very little ( seniors serve ) 2 slices of meat with very sparse few vegetables is roast of day.
Finished food and still waiting for drinks that were ordered at same time as food. Don't waste your money. There are better places in Frankston that give you value for money.

Great place with great options. Food was really good and they were able to mix it up a little for us and give our 11mo daughter roast veggies which she devoured. Tanya also went above and beyond to help find my wife a dessert she could have (nut, egg and dairy free) we will be back for sure.

We just celebrated my daughter's 21st Birthday at The Grand in their Function room. The function ran smoothly thanks to the lovely staff. Everyone commented on how great the food was, and I was very impressed with the personal service. Would highly recommend this venue for your next special occasions.

We had a birthday dinner there tonight with the whole family. We could not fault one meal and the service was outstanding. Everyone loved their food. Nice quiet atmosphere. We will definitely go again.

We went here tonight as they have 50% off certain meals on weekdays at the moment. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and renovated the place was (for some reason I had thought it was a dive) the staff were friendly and the service was excellent. The food was great, as good as any pub fare. Much better experience than my local pub, we will be back!

I originally wanted to get a pint of Coke, but that was $9.50. I have never seen a pub charge more for a Coke than alcohol before.

The new addition to the bar looks amasing. Really good quality food

Haven't been here since I was a local 15+ years ago. They've done well to modernize the place without participating in the pretentious wankathon. Friendly staff and a decent feed.

Great meal tonight at the Grand. The staff are really friendly and the meal was hot and tasty with the best chips. They forgot the veg but no big deal because they were so nice. We will be back thank you!

My partner and I had a meal here tonight and were extremely disappointed with our meals.

My pork belly was really tough and I couldn't even cut my knife through it. You couldn't eat it. It was atleast 2 hours under cooked.
The fat layer through the meat was gross and just not cooked enough I couldn't eat my meal. I told the waitress and his response was that's how we cook it tough.
I am a chef of 10 years and I understand how pork belly is meant to be cooked and this was not edible.

My partners chicken Parma wasn't right, it was like rubber and had a off smell to it.
He would normally eat anything and he isn't fussy but refused to eat it as it wasn't right.

For a Saturday night the bistro was empty, unless the food improves I can't see people going there for meals.

Had a bar meal as was too early for the bistro. The meal was the same as served in the bistro and I think the same price as was expensive for a bar meal. Is $25 for the roast of the day too much? It was a decent serve and tasty so no complaints. Had to wait 30 minutes for our meal and it was not busy as the bistro was not populated when we ordered.

we had a wonderful experience in the top room where we attended a 40th birthday party. definitely recommended. however I was on 2 walking sticks and had to get up 2 flights of stairs , having a lift wouldve been amazing especially for wheelchair bound people.

Went for dinner and had the roast of the day, it was lamb, the lamb was sooo good, vegies cooked just right and I loved our waitress Maddy, she was amazing and sooo friendly, I will definitely go back there again and often, infact all the staff here were very nice and extremely helpful. I would be happy to give this place a 5 star rating IF for once when I went there they had Almond Milk!!
I attend this venue regularly and They NEVER have Almond Milk!! It's actually got to the stage where today I had to BRING MY OWN milk!!
I would never have usually done this and just gone elsewhere, so lucky I like other things enough in this venue to come back because I think it's Bad customer service not supplying appropriate milk🤦‍♀️ Especially when so many people have food intolerances now days.

I have eaten here many times including the Christmas menu they usually put out every December and its always superb.I have never had a bad meal here in fact l would rate the food better than most places in the area.The atmosphere is very average as the place doesnt seem popular and the bistro is often empty. I dont really mind as the staff are attentive and the meals are fast.

Nice and friendly staff

Lovely service staff and pretty good food. Nothing fancy, but good pub grub and you gotta love their 2 for 1 deal. My flat head tails were really nice but the chips were heavy. My partner's green curry seafood stir fry was delicious and very generous.
Certainly worth a try and amazing value.
