While in Rocky we thought we would give the Glenmore Tavern a go for lunch. The staff in the restaurant were friendly. However when our fish, chips and salad arrived, the fish looked very dark. It was burnt and was as hard as the table and inedible. I immediately went up complained and asked for our money back. The manager apologised and gave me a refund. The first and last time for us.

Went to dinner with an old mate from Adelaide. He wanted to go somewhere and try a Rocky steak and even if the steak wasn't from Rocky it was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I ordered mine with chips and salad, the chips were nice and crispy and golden, cooked in clean oil. The salad was nice and fresh but not a lot, in saying that, it would've been a waste if it were bigger because I was finding it hard to finish everything on my plate. I would definitely recommend going there. Unfortunately I was too busy chin wagging and forgot to get a photo so you'll have to take my word for it😁

We used the Glenmore Motor Inn as a half way stop over Brisbane to Townsville and again on our return drive home. Booking direct was easy with the friendly staff and very accommodating. The rooms were typical of an older Motor Inn, somewhat dated but had everything that was required for a good night's sleep, good shower, comfy bed. Unallocated parking but on both occassion were able to park undercover outside the room (on the ground floor) The attached Tavern was very convenient for evening meals, nice menu, good sized serves at reasonable prices and a friendly atmosphere. Early morning checkout using the key drop box was also easy. Would definitely stay at the Glenmore again but don't expect a 5 star motel, great for a stopover and is very popular with tradies and truck drivers

Best eye fillet in Rocky. Had lunch there and the meat was tender with heaps of gravy. Nice and price was great. Service with a smile.

Glenmore tavern restaurant was closed on the night we travelling because of covid??? No signs up anywhere to indicate this & rude staff member at the bar was very unhelpful as to where else we may have been able to have a meal. Gave it a miss on our return trip.
