Beautiful food with beautiful service and security. I felt comfortable having dinner with my daughter outside and keeping us warm with the gas heaters. Good job guys!!!! It was worth coming from Newy to Eddy ?

Waited an hour for a steak, which was below average and totally smothered in some cheap sauce :-(

Beer and wine was good.. if only the food could match

Had a work lunch here a few week back. The steak was perfect and the wine was cold. It's nice to sit upstairs. Downstairs was a bit noisy with construction noise.

After reading good reviews we visited with our 3 kids wanting a good old Sunday night pub meal before leaving for our cruise. The food was good although quite pricey, however the service was absolutely terrible. Both guys working the bar and food service clearly did not want to be there. They didn't collect dishes when delivering more, and cut us off mid conversation when ordering a drink. The venue was not overly busy at the time.

Great atmosphere and food. Lively pub with many office workers drinking on a weeknight.

Walked in for a lager and a smoke. Mixed in with some navy officers having a farewell for a fellow hero. Good bless smoking areas. This bunch was the few good men. Fascinating chats about war and acid house haha. Seems like a cool place, prolly go here again!

The Edinburgh castle is a cozy inner city hotel with several break out spaces to mingle and eat
Across its 2 levels, I only had chips and potato scalps which were nice but can't comment on the rest of the food.
The service and ambience was good too.

It's a nice old fashioned bar in the city. Very cosy. We loved the option to order from the QR code app to save the queue. But the food selection we found limited, I was looking for something light but very little salad options were there, it's probably average for a bar menu.

+
• Tasty food
• Unusual options
• Mostly nice personnel

-
• It's quite loud
• I was SO disappointed to not find these 2 things (the reason I visited this restaurant in the first place) on the menu: crispy salmon skin & beetrot blood orange salad

We had:
• Creamy mashed potatoes
• Side salad
• Corn ribs
• Crispy Brussels sprouts
[• Ginger Ale; • Corona beer]

Good little sports bar. Pretty much every screen had basketball on, which makes me happy. Reasonably priced drinks and a decent selection on tap. The food was all a bit too salty though!

EDITED - Thank you for the response! Changing my review to 5 stars for being so open to the feedback regarding the food.

Stopped here at 5pm and had a lovely bourbon and coke and a few nice craft beers. Newtowner's hazy, balter hazy. Great atmosphere and lovely service. Had a good yarn to the barman even about the beers when he was busy. Would definately return.

This establishment might be old and quaint, but desperately needs someone to revamp its menu and staff. The picture below is what they served as a chicken parmigiana. It's was small in size, chips were cold and I could tell the cheese had not been melted in an oven or grill. The coleslaw had oil dripping from it. To say it was disgusting would be an understatement... Staff seemed not to care nor give any indication that this was not the norm.

Went in for lunch with some family members. It's great that the food comes out quickly. But gosh, the staff who clears the glasses/table can't seem to wait until we are actually finished. There's still drinks in our glasses and they wanted to collect it. There were still food on our plate and they wanted ro collect it. The place wasn't even crowded. Shesh!!!

Great selection of beers. Plenty of space to relax. Good city pub with good lunch time vibes. Menu needs improvement but the burgers are pretty good to be fair.

Ordered the gnocchi, then did some maths. Turns out I paid $1.27 per bite. Great pasta, but bruhhhhh, I should not be spending my weekly groceries budget on one meal and still be leaving hungry

Some people will knock this place, maybe because it seems a very tiny bit rough and ready, but if you are someone who is looking for a nice cold pint of craft beer and a screen to watch sports in the city centre, then try this place out. Steadily busy, but if you get in early evening you'll generally find a seat, unless it's Friday when it's choc full of tradies. Reasonably cheap prices ($11 or so for a pint of Pirate Life IPA), nice staff. Pub food, pokies.

Great authentic english pub with good food and a variety of meals. Prices are reasonable and portions are fair. Range of salads and western food. Staff are nice and friendly. Close walk to Hyde park and near sydney city offices perfect for team lunch or drinks afterwork. Online order option via an app made it alot easier and quicker.

Described as Interwar Georgian style architecture, built in 1931 of spectacular design that is considered to still be intact in both exterior and interior. It's in a prominent corner of Bathurst and Pitt Street and apparently significant as it's been a hotel with the same name since 1885! I rather like this charming pub/hotel for its aesthetic design of brick parapet with terracotta cartouches. A wonderful addition to the heritage of this city and its significant contribution to the history of hotel trading in Sydney. Worth exploring and discovering. If you happen to be visiting this place, admire the history and faade of this beautiful and significant landmark.
