Good place. Free real capucino at the pockies, but you have to ask for it and they'll bring it to you.

I haven't been here since I was a kid in the 00s.

Our family ordered fried chicken, a chicken burger, pork belly, pork ribs, beef cheek, lamb shank and a steak.

Every dish was incredibly tender and delightful. I ordered the pork ribs which came with generous sides and genuinely fell off the bone.

I haven't had such a good feed at a pub for years.

The bathrooms were clean and staff very attentive/helpful. In addition, this venue is queer friendly.

Went for lunch ordered a pulled pork burger. Disappointed when the pork wasn't pulled but cut from pork roast in slices.
No flavour due to lack of sauces which should be in he pulled pork..
good to see staff using bottle openers and not there hands

My partner had fish and chips. She said they were the best she had for ages.
My rump steak was cooked to perfection.

Marla in the public bar is an absolute gem and I pray she never leaves. Her working attitude is second to none.
Management is very generous with bar snacks which in itself is very much appreciated among the regular customers and says a lot compared to other establishments.
I just wish the company who owns the pub will dust off the cobwebs in their stingy wallet and do some renovating!

Excellent service from the duty manager and another staff member. My mum wanted a coffee and it was nothing for the staff member to get up from her lunch break and make it for her.

I hate coming to edge hill tavern. Unfortunately they seem to book some amazing Aussie artists that then have to preform in a venue that is completely too small and tries to compensate by putting the music at such volume that left my ears ringing for hours, literally. Every time I purchase a ticket in hopes of supporting smaller Aussie musicians, I get incredibly disappointed by the sucky venue they were robbed into preforming at

My family & I had my late husbands celebration of life here recently. Kim managed the event with assistance from her team. What a fabulous job they did. Kim's can do attitude & perseverance with any hiccups that arose ensured that the event went off perfectly. Highly recommended. A huge thank you Kim & crew.

Visited for dinner while visiting Cairns. Meals were very generous in portion size. The ribs were delicious and cooked to perfection, very filling. The Parma was pretty good and kids burger was great. Bathroom facilities were very clean and well maintained. Wish we could have stayed longer to participate in the Simpsons trivia! Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return here on our next visit for a decent meal and great service.

The ladies decided on a casual mid-week lunch at this place. Service and food are always dependable and satisfying. It is a relaxing place to catch up with friends because we are never made to feel like we have to vacate our table straight away.

A very enjoyable lunch was had by all! Molly served us our meals and she did so with a great smile and happy attitude! and she was extremely helpful. :-)

Visited with my two children for lunch one of which has additional needs. The big playground and outdoor area is fenced which really suited us. Great service and friendly management. The food was good as well. Thanks :)

My first visit inside Edge Hill Tavern on 24/03/23 & ordered my meal from the bar [pics attached]. Food well presented, well cooked, menu prices reasonable & good service.
I didn't stay here overnight being a local guy.

Came for dinner before a show, they had limited vegetarian options but the , willwoman with the American accent at the bar suggested the stirfy with tofu - instead of beef, it was great. Creedence show was so busy and the queues for the bar were insane but the staff handled it so well, will definitely be back!

My wife and I and two friends had Christmas lunch here on Christmas Day. The food was excellent, with prawns, oysters and Moreton Bay bugs plus a selection of festive food, such as turkey, ham etc. The desserts were also great, and everything was very well organized, with helpful and attentive staff. We will be back for the same next year! Highly recommended.

We visited the gaming room section on the evening of 14/12/22. Staff member Keith looked after my partner & I and did a great job 10/10. Can't say the same for his female colleague on duty at the time. The female staff had actually caught our attention reprimanding a patron in the gaming section, the manner in which she spoke to the male patron and attitude was ridiculous - she was equipped with the female security officer at the time, so was engaging with the patron as if she were invincible. Worst customer service ever! We actually thought the raised voice had been a patron, but turned to see that it was the female f&b attendant 😮
My partner and I went to order drinks shortly after, where she had intended to serve me; I had to directly ignore her and had asked that Keith served us. The female staff member made a rude comment then tended to another matter. Well ofcoarse we don't want to be served by staff who treat people so poorly. We had to leave shortly after, as the atmosphere was depressing. Am bringing to management's attention, to report how your staff member is engaging with the public. Keith did great, but the female staff gets 1 star ???'

Food was okay rump steak cooked to order.
My reason for one star is the service. The staff could clearly see me waiting at the bar on both occasions and managed to find other things to do and people to serve and talk to who should of been after me in order. All around a negative and what I believe to be a racial discriminatory service. I will be returning.

Poor Customer service and was treated poorly.
Toilets was disgusting with human matter smeared in the toilet cubicle. No soap to wash hands. Felt sorry for chef working solo who was treated poorly by the duty manager, food was good but definitely won't be ever going back here. And not everyone knows how to order food and drinks off the scanner app, they need to be more accomodating.

My visit to your venue will be remembered had a beautiful meal Elif was our waitress for the night well done great service made myself and my son a great night out on a holiday. BUT also saying that we then continued on before eating go into gaming room to play well it turned out badly as the young girl which I never caught her name, her customer service was not very nice quiet rude . Had plans to stay on after eating but quickly had changed our minds and we desided to move on instead.. Great meal awesome chef aswell.

Food was OK. Staff were good. I didn't like being asked to tip by the pub on an electronic system when I can't imagine the tip going to the staff(they would have no idea how much I tipped)and they didn't do anything to warrant a tip anyway...not that they are given a chance when ordering both drinks and food is electronic. And finally..it's a pub in Australia...not the USA!

I happen to enjoy my meal tonight. However I witnessed the most disgusting service of 2 lovely seniors ever. They were seated next to my wife and I. Before I go further we requested a menu on entrance and was provided with a menu. The seniors spoke with the waitress and she advised them, they must scan the scan code located on the table to order. They willingly attempted, the husband (I assume) turned the phone to the wife (I assume) to ask what she wanted to order, it was obvious the lady could not see the menu. The gentleman ( well in 80s I assume ) got up and walked around the table to show his lady the phone.
This was for a few minutes to which they decided to leave. That's not the whole issue, the issue is the waitress that seated them, was rude not understanding or courteous at all. We requested to speak to the manager from a staff member to which, we were told that is the manager. The same manager that spent most of our dining time on her phone, walking around like she was unstoppable.
Tonight's actions bored on elder abuse, harassment.
The food was good.

Good food, great staff, never too busy and not over priced. Staff are happy to help get whatever sport you're chasing up on the many screens in the sports bar. Not my thing but the pokie room is open till late and ive never had a bad meal there.

Staff were very hospitable but the food lacked. Chicken Parma was clearly out of a box and the tomato sauce from a bottle. Unsure if that's the style here? Maybe the steaks are better

Booked in for the Christmas Luncheon based on a beautiful Christmas menu this year (2021) and never having been to the Edge Hill Tavern, was so excited and overwhelmed by the spectacular outlay of food on offer-glazed ham, pork belly, beef, salmon, salads to die for and an abundance of seafood and desserts to make your mouth water. My expectations were met in every area (except the air con was a little lacking near the food serving areas, but so worth the fee paid to attend. We will definitely be returning for 2022 and am sure it will be just as fabulous. This was the most relaxing Christmas I've ever had, with the most delicious food you could ask for. Thank you for making our Christmas Edge Hill Tavern! The Simpson family.

Went in last night for a quiet drink. Was unable to buy beer on tap due to 'issues' with the taps. Waited 10 minutes for it to be poured .... nothing .... then told to go into the other bar and get one .... same issue so after another 10 mins still no beer ... returned to the first bar and asked if I could have a stubby instead ... was told that that was more expensive. Left without having a beer at all and will not waste my time returning. Bar wasn't even busy ... probably because they become the pub with no beer :(

Says they close at 9pm, but they actually close at 8pm every night and will kick everyone out at 8pm despite their website hours saying they close at 9pmFALSE ADVERTISING.Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced and bar staff are incredibly rude.
