I had an amazing stay at the Crowne Plaza in Alice Springs while attending a course in May. The staff were lovely and polite, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The rooms were clean and well-equipped, and the dining at Tali Restaurant was superb, with diverse breakfast options.
Highly recommended!

Love the place. The staff and environment were welcoming and best thing they have a nice sofa where the kids can wait while checking. My son were not yell at (as been other hotels) for lying on the sofa. The room entry was near to the entrance and as we enter the room it was a pleasant feelings
The room where cleaned bright and mo trace of dust. The shower was well organised with all the cleaning stuff for the body. The bed were comfy and no bugs smell or dust. We both stayed in the room without itching.

The best part was the square shower head which my son loved and the hot spa. We spent about 2 hrs up there and they let us stay for another hour .

2nd stay end of April till 3 Rd may. The service was nice. I couldn't make my decision about room and ask for mountain view and top floor and she did it. Upon arrival.meet her at reception.thwy also provided the heater again

Rooms are just simple. Clean and tidy. Staff friendly. Site is not as secure as expected. Even though access cards are needed to get to doors to rooms all ground rooms open to grassed area that anyone can access at anytime.

Offer chargeback for all meals at the casino which is handy.

Pool is heated and the spa is a nice temperature.

Facilities clean.

During my mom's 62nd birthday, we decided to visit Alice Springs, and I wanted to surprise her by booking a stay in a 5-star hotel. As a diamond member of another luxury brand hotel nearby, I meticulously researched before choosing the perfect one. Finally, I found a true gem with excellent customer service, registration, housekeeping, and a friendly bartender, from Spain who worked at the pool. Our stay was filled with warmth, comfort, and a welcoming environment that made us feel right at home.

The resort amenities were outstanding, but the highlight of our stay was the breakfast buffet, which was simply marvelous. We made a new friend at the restaurant, the chef named Owen, who was an Aboriginal and had a pure soul and incredible customer service. Owen invited us on a tour to learn about his culture and connect with the earth. This was a gift from God because I hadn't seen my mom laugh so much in a long time. It was a unique experience of happiness, completely free.

For my mom, it was the best birthday ever, and we both enjoyed every moment of our stay. After this experience, I highly recommend staying at this hotel and plan on returning soon!

I was pleasantly surprised by the room, the facilities and the excellent and friendly staff. Tali served up tasty food and the gym and pool were great. I was able to do some work in the room with reliable WiFi. The hotel is safe, central and clean and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be happy to return in the future.

Claims of "5 Star" accomodation and service are totally false.... This is an old and tired establishment with ordinary food and worse management. With accomodation in Alice Springs pretty sparse this place knows you have few options and treat guests with an attitude of carelessness and contempt.

Room 5201 smelt horribly of Swage. Chairs in room need to be replaced big time, stains all over them. Assistant Manager, she was wonderful and tried her hardest. However, the hotel was full, so I was unable to change rooms. The manager the next day was apologetic in a nice email, She gave me a lot of hotel points for my convenience. still a nice hotel, not for the price, though. No mini bar also a 5 dollars surcharge for room service for over 300 dollar a night hotel. I did expect a bit more. Don't think I will stay again unless rooms have been updated

Excellent gym facilities and pool with plenty of shade and lounges top notch and definitely worth it.
The only downside would have to be the Wi-Fi weak in the room, room service is slow needs to be better and parking has no shade or undercover.
4 Star for a 4 Star Hotel.

The umpteenth slam of the next to useless security door right outside your room reminds you of the "classy joint" you've paid over $300 a night for. From the unfriendly receptionist to the 25 minute check in, this place is horrible. Asked about getting to the airport and got told to see another desk. As the check-in process dragged on it was made clear that it was my fault even though it was booked through Expedia and I had a payment receipt. I've used Expedia for years without issue- this was the hotels stupidly slow system.
No idea why there is a security door when you can simply walk in behind it through the open courtyard. The security is non existent in a town that needs it.
The one bright spot was room service - our first friendly staff experience.
The room was spotlessly clean but basic with broken curtains, a shower that didn't work properly and terrible water pressure. The bed was good with good pillows.
We went and had dinner at the Hilton as we didn't want to give this hotel any more money.
And then onto breakfast. We decided we were too lazy and just ate at the hotel. Not a single cleared table to sit at and more terrible staff attitude
Stay somewhere else

Bad experience overall.
-Safe did not work but it took 5 visits over 3 days from maintenance to sort it out (replace it)
- TV did not have sound and some channels stopped working altogether. 4 visits from Maintence over 2 days could not sort it out but they promised to get IT to fix it- the only problem was the next 3 days IT were not available because it was a long weekend. We never heard from IT. TV was not fixed over the 7 day stay.
- No soap or body wash is the shower- had to ask to have it fixed.
- The queen sized bed was made with double bed bottom sheet so each time we rolled over the sheet came loose and tangled around us. We had to show housekeeping before it was fixed.
- When we asked to discuss the above matters with the Manager we were advised that he/she was not available for the next 3 days as they do not work on the weekend or on any public holiday. They never got back to us.
Our thoughts on the above- It was all PATHETIC. Over priced and non existent customer service.
Other matters-
Restaurant Kali looks tired and scruffy
Security gates rarely closed properly

The only positive point-
The breakfast chef at Kali was awesome.

I would not stay here again - if I had any choice I would stay at Doubletree instead as the service, security and quality that we experienced there last year were a much higher standard.

4 Star for a 4 Star Hotel.

Good rooms as expected, the food and staff is also nice. The only downside is the path to restaurants or to rooms is like a labyrinth with less proper direction signs, we often lost our way. The room had a big bathroom and a good backyard.

Nice place, I loved it. Definitely be back again. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Variety of restaurants to eat and even access to the Casino. Good location and didn't have to leave the hotel to look for a place to eat.

I recently had an issue accessing the gym late at night. Crowne-Plaza Management took full responsibility, remained friendly and helpful, and rectified the problem almost immediately. For guests at the hotel the pool area including a spacious spa is a great feature - to escape the heat in summer and enjoy the sunshine in a pretty spot during winter.

Alice Springs was my home town, came back for a family event and stayed in what is supposed to be the elite of Motels in Alice ... for over $300 per night for a standard room it should be amazing ... however it was a HUGE let down, here is why ...
Room is substandard, chairs in room are stained, carpet is dirty and cupboards doors are broken ... had to request a room service even tho they have put up notes to say it will happen everyday. Our room service meal was burnt and cold ... we ordered a steak and a chicken schnitzel ... terrible 😣 but super expensive. The tray is still outside our room. No one's trays have been collected for 24hrs now !!
Tonight we drove to Hungry Jacks and had a burger rather than risk another expensive terrible meal. (The burger ???" was 10 X better than our meal last night)
If I could give NO stars I would, will not be staying here again ... very very disappointing.

Nice place to stay, very close to town centre. The casino is inside the campus too with couple of restaurants (Tali and Juicy Rump), a nice pool and ample parking space. The rooms are spacious and clean and tidy, though they don't have kitchen equipment so keep in mind if booking for that. Book in advance to avoid high prices. You can also take the complimentary bicycles to ride for upto 2 hours.

Unfortunately it was cold and wet when we visited, so we weren't able to experience the pool, etc outside.

Hotel facilities & breakfast were good. BUT..... Had to change room as the first one we were given had a sink which just emptied onto the floor & the shower smelled awful. The impression we got was that this issue was known about, so why give this room to any guests?!
Also, we were given no warning about the issues in the town centre, even though a curfew had been in operation the previous weekend, so maybe guest safety needs to be considered?

Location was quiet and peaceful. Many birds, sunset and sun rise was nice.Very professional reception staff. Very polite and nice. Gave us all the information we needed. Dinning is in the same premises for all budgets. But some times you don't get what's on the menu. They offer you free chips for missing contents. We felt like room service staff needs to be trained to provide a quality service.

A decent sized, clean and overall very comfortable Hotel.

We stayed here after our 'The Ghan' journey concluded in Alice Springs.
Upon arrival was a really easy check-in process, good information provided by reception staff, the two rooms we had were both generous in size, good balcony, well appointed, very comfortable and quiet.

We both ate and drank at the adjoining bars / restaurants within the hotel complex there and found the staff to be really great, easy going and polite and had a great time.

I think this place is lovely. I'm not sure why the reviews are not so good - you do have to realise it's Alice springs, not a big city. The room was spacious and the mountain view is 100% worth it. Pool and gym are top notch! I agree that the restaurants are terrible. Go elsewhere if you can. At Tali on both nights they forgot something i ordered and tried to charge me for it then asked me if id like them to take it off the bill when paying at the counter (obviously since it wasn't received!). Food was disgusting. Otherwise though, it was a great stay and definitely worth it!

The location is slightly out of town and not a suitable location if you don't have a vehicle to head into town. But crowne does have a pub like and an upmarket restaurant. So you won't go hungry. Car park is large and secured/patrolled and can accommodate caravans etc... Good place to stay as a stopover or to chill around the pool for a couple of nights.

One night stay for work.
Room was clean, neat and tidy. Bed was comfortable.

Reception staff friendly and doing their best. Obviously understaffed when trying to phone in the mornings. On hold for 5 mins then disconnected. Bookings made over the phone are outsourced.

Loud drunk patrons leaving the casino next door kept me up for a while when I really needed a good kip.

The bed was very comfortable, there was only a table with chairs - no lounge or comfy chairs. The room was slightly grubby with age, the shower leaked, there was a constant odour in the bathroom. No biscuits or snacks of any type in the room. The food in the Tali restaurant was very nice, unfortunately the constant music was intrusive. The food delivered to our room was terrible and barely warm. The staff whilst pleasant and fairly professional were difficult to understand due to their poor English. The swimming pool was freezing. For $400 per night this is just not good enough. We shan't return.

Another great place to stay in a good location. Very quiet and situated right. Good meals, service and helpful staff! Very nice!

A short stay for work. Fantastic staff, friendly and very helpful in challenging times with low staff numbers. Very comfortable room with nice view of the hills behind. Great bed and modernised shower room. Thank you AJ and the rest of the team for a great stay. ??'?
