I don't typically write reviews, but I can't not write a review for this place! Can't say enough good things about this place! Larry, Liz, Paris, John, and everyone else treated me as family when I was in Sydney on a 8 day holiday. I'd come in and they'd remember my name and my drink and would always be interested in how my day was. If your in Sydney on a holiday or a resident you can't not stop here. Excellent humble vibe. Excellent customer service and I'm sure I'll be back. The food too was great, make sure to get the steak! Staff really treated me as family, can't recommend this place enough!

Old pub style hotel. Rooms and facilities are adequate but ageing. Location is perfect for exploring the city and its landmarks. There are prettier and cheaper places about but the location and convenience of this hotel is hard to beat.

disgusting treatment from the security on saturday night/sunday morning 12:17am. couldn't be how rude they were. how about you teach your security how to speak to human beings. absolutely outrageous. these security do not deserve their jobs. straight up.

If I'm returning to the area, I'd probably look at using Hotel Coronation again. Good value, free WiFi, very comfortable beds. The room was much smaller than I expected, but it wasn't a problem as they fit everything I could need in that space.

One of the main boons this place has is great staff. Not lifeless like those other city pubs. Nice conversation and a well curated back bar, and music that doesn't suck!

This used to be my regular spot for lunch once a week.
They used to cook really good steaks.
But lately something went wrong. I've been back 3 times since and the food has lost its flavour altogether. The sauces have an off aroma and some of the salads are awful.
Sorry guys I'll only be back for beers at happy hour. The staff are super friendly.

For the price......it's 5 Stars rating. Location is so centralised and a supermarket 20 steps away. Macdonald, Hungry Jack, KFC, Starbucks or at viewing distance. If U are not looking for posh n glam hotel stay, this is really a neat hotel. Bring your own hair dryer

Had an amazing time in Sydney. This Hotel has the best location. We were here for the Tina Turner musical. 500m away. Right across from the entrance to trains, bus stop right out front. Very close to Darling Harbour as well. Very much happy ??

Perfect location! It's not a luxury hotel and it is quite dated. However, it is quiet, clean, comfy and comes with pretty much everything I need.

The TV wasn't working, no room service and no concierge, but that's okay cos everything was literally around, including their bar downstairs and Woolies, just next door.

Perhaps not for families or those wanting luxury or spending time in the room, but perfect for solo travellers and couples.

I'll give 5 stars because usually it's pretty good to have a beer after work. Staff are friendly and they have a bottle shop. Located right next to Town Hall station, so you can get a few in before going home after work .

Just tried to go to your bar for a beer after work. I was as sober as a judge but your guard told me I looked tipsy because I wouldn't tell him my plans for the evening.

p.s. it was the guard that looks like a turtle.

Amazing value for money. Very friendly staff and a great little pub downstairs.
Room was clean and cosy. Would highly recommend.

Clean rooms, frequent and good housekeeping. They let us check our bags in during the day after we checked out. Good facilities and very quiet during the day and night.

Great location next to town hall .you get some Street nosie but not from other rooms .modernised ensuite even though building looks older . Room was compact and clean . Good value for CBD!

Great budget hotel. I stayed on the 4th floor and couldn't hear even the slightest noise from down below in the pub. Great location with a woollies literally 30m, train/Light rail and Galerie shopping precinct all right there. I stayed 2 nights for a festival and will stay here again.
Only note is that the bathroom was quite tight, a bigger person than I would struggle getting in and out of the shower and toilet areas. May be room dependant though.

The food is great, highly recommend the Corro burger. And nice when you get a plate of properly cooked crunchy chips, unlike some other pubs. And great to eat without 100 decibel doof doof pounding in the background. Plus any pub that has Little Creatures on tap gets my vote!

The hotel is probably just fine to stay at, but if you want a late night beer at the bar downstairs? Avoid Coronation, the bouncers/door staff are uninviting and don't want anyone to enjoy themselves. Go to Criterion
Hotel up the road, much friendlier

Pretty good ??'? hotel is on a great location, right at Town Hall, Railway & Light rail close by & Opposite QBV ,Older Hotel but room was adequate & had everything I needed & was clean with easy card access in & out & has a lift

I arrived after a 24hr flight from the UK at 8am. So you can imagine how tired I was. Check-in was until 3pm. Travis the hotel manager was so helpful by allowing me to drop my bags off and said that if I came back at 10am my room would be ready. He suggested some coffee shops which God I was so grateful for. I came back just after 10 and my bags were in my room. What more can you ask for!! Thank you, Travis and the team I will definitely be coming back to stay here and recommending Hotel Coronation to everyone.

My grandson and I had a fantastic stay. The staff were very friendly and a special mention to Travis, who was great. The hotel was clean and in a good location. We would definitely stay again.

Had lunch with a few friends and tried out their share menu everything was delicious and wine prices reasonable. It was very enjoyable and would go back.

The best hotel near Town Hall! Fantastic staff with Glen, Alex and Travis at the helm. The prices are great and the food is excellent value and top class. The locals come from all walks of life and there is always lively conversation and a great laugh. It's open early and great for a 'sneaky cheeky' Enjoy!

I came in on Friday morning, and was stuck waiting with random people outside until 5:30am because the bar manager wasn't there and we had to wait until he set up everything . Apart from that, good place to have a drink in the morning

Manager was great, male bar staff who came afterwards, not so much. Came after a long work shift and was treated like a drunk. Not a great feeling after serving those who are all night
