I recently visited the Lowood hotel for lunch with a 94 year old gentleman and we were warmly greeted by friendly and welcoming staff which made us feel comfortable straight away.

I asked if the meal could be made a little softer due to his age. The staff explained the kitchen could not change the preparation but said they would try their best. When the food arrived the chips were soft and the rissole was nicely tender which made it easy for him to enjoy his lunch.

It was a pleasant visit and lovely to see a local hotel providing a welcoming place where people of all ages can sit down and enjoy a good meal.

Went to the Lowood hotel for a stay-cation. We travelled from Esk to have lunch and to partake in what the pub had to offer. We were not disappointed, the pub has a unique country charm. The staff were friendly and super efficient, personally I feel they were the best at their job that have seen a very long time. No waiting for a drink or Keno service and good for a chat.
My hat comes off to Bri and Katie, both were outstanding and made everyone feel welcome.
The food was hot and tasty and came out quickly and served with a smile. The atmosphere was great, listening to the local chatter and everyone knew each other.
I spent the afternoon sitting at the bar, which I also hadn\'t done in a long time, very enjoyable. My wife spent some time playing in the large gaming lounge with a good choice of machines. The seating in the hotel was comfortable with a choice of several different types to please everybody, also a couple of old style lounges for really relaxing.
We booked a room in the attached motel, which was well appointed with fridge, microwave and toaster. 56\" TV and a very comfy bed. Also plenty of coffee and tea and biscuits should you crave a hot bevy.
Possibly be a plus if the was some plates and cutlery in the kitchenette.
Thanks to all the staff at the Lowood hotel for a great day and evening. We will be visiting again soon.

We have eaten at many places local and surrounding Ipswich areas. This has been by far the best food we have had eating out. The service was also extremely pleasant and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back again soon. FOOD A++

Great food and mostly wonderful service, came in for dinner with friends early this week and was enjoying our dinner until some of the younger staff behind the bar and in the kitchen began making some rather inappropriate jokes and comments. One particular young, blonde staff member spent most of her time standing in the kitchen flirting with one of the cooks and making comments about "getting so stoned" later that night. The other staff members on shift were doing an excellent job however this put quite a bad taste in the mouth. If it weren't for this it would have been 5/5, Shame.

First time visiting and to say I'll be back is an understatement. My partner and I were over the moon with our meals, leaving our bellies full and our hearts. The staff were super friendly but I would like to applaud Katie. I haven't seen someone with so much enthusiasm and efficiency working in this industry in a long time. she made sure we had everything we needed and was up for a good joke, she is the reason we will be returning.
