Food in the pub is awesome. Publican is a top bloke. The hotel room though is left to be desired. Outdated but still somewhere to sleep.

Stayed one night, rooms are old but very comfortable and clean, the service staff are cheerful and happy, I will definitely stay there on my next trip as I pass through

Cleve hotel is an essential to the town of Cleve, providing foods and drinks with an active kitchen, in particular at night with dinners, as all other food providers are closed. Thank you, Cleve hotel. 😊 It also provides an insight into locals and passer-by.

Disappointed - went for lunch last Sunday (3 March 24) a clearly uninterested bar man delivering a fairly average level of service with the occasional grunt when asking for basics like salt & pepper but hey it's Sunday, the hotel was probably understaffed or perhaps he was just having a bad day, fair enough. I ordered the grilled chicken with pepper sauce ($29.00) which arrived in a little over 30 minutes, fairly slow given that the place was empty but still the wait was quite acceptable. The chicken was a good size serving, a little dry but tasty with the sauce, my problem was with the 19 chips that were overcooked and the tiny bowl of salad that contained 2 lettuce leaves, 6 shavings of carrot, 1 piece of cucumber and 1 piece of tomato which was tasteless. Definitely overpriced but a decent serving of chips and salad may have justified the expense. $11.00 for 2 soda waters which also seemed excessive. Sorry, I won't be back.

Incredibile meals! We've been eating here almost daily for two weeks and I cannot recommend it enough 😀 lovely staff and great company of locals.
