My wife enjoyed the Middle pub chicken schnitzel and I had Duck Breast
Both were excellent and at very reasonable prices but the bottle of wine we bought was about 3 times regular retail price

Comfortable country pub. Daily lunch specials for around . Menu is decent and well priced. The addition of a salad bar with a good choice of salads equals an extra star.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Overall, our food wasn't great, but not terrible either - pretty standard stuff, although the chips weren't fresh and were leathery.

Meals - ham steak and pineapple, calamari schnitzel.

I'd eat here again.

The middle pub has improved amazingly under the care and guidance of the new owner. Food was excellent and the dining room was busy and had a really nice family-friendly atmosphere about it. They even have an entirely separate vegetarian/vegan menu which I have not seen offered in a pub before. This was a huge blessing to me, as other pubs in The Valley offer almost nothing for their vegetarian guests. The customer service from the very first phone call to book a table was first class. The bar and waiting staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. Even had the pleasure of being introduced to the new owner. What a kind hearted and very pleasant man! We have finally found "our pub" after a long search. I'm excited to see where the new owner takes this lovely hotel into the future. Highly recommend this place.

OMG! Waited almost 1.5hrs without an apology from management for our meals. Table booked for ~20 people and we received such poor service. Meals were OK thanks God. We can only assume that the staff are prioritising takeaways and uber Eats over patrons dining in. A failure of service on so many levels.

Went in for a family lunch (2 Adults & 3 kids). First impression "Zero". No service, no.greeting, no host. Not sure if I have to grab a table myself or someone will, not sure if it was a table service or OTC service. After observing for a while than I figured out. Seated on the table ordered at the counter Kids Calamari and full-size Schnitzels. I will say below average. Kids calarlmari was overcooked and hard, Schnitzel was luke warm and had no salad. Not a value for a money. Neither recommended and nor going back again. Waste of money.
