I ordered a takeaway, and went to collect it. The old lady said she rejected my order because I ordered a "kid food". She was so rude and poor service. She said i will get the refund straight away, but i didn't.

I cannot order food for my kid???? Really???? Never want to go to this bar again, and i wont recommend anyone order "kid food" for takeaway because they will 100% reject your order.

Stayed 1 night passing through. The room I was in was freezing, the air con didn't work properly, the electric blanket didn't work. Although the bed was comfy, the cold took that away. The bathroom and toilet were still the same from the 1980's. The toilet door still had the vacant and occupied latch just like a public toilet. The hotel staff were very friendly but for the price of that room it was very disappointing.

Great hotel nicely restored inside and had a lovely lunch special. Disappointed as we both thought we'd be staying upstairs in the old hotel. Sadly not, new extensions attached to the hotel. Rooms where clean, had trouble with the air conditioning not heating up lucky we had electric blankets.

Had lunch on Sunday. 7 out of 9 meals were absolutely fantastic and great value . Entre's were also great. The only let down was the 2 serves of 'roast' pork , obviously was porcetta and whilst tasty, the lack of crackling was a disappointment as was the lack of roast vegetables the usually accompany the said roast. Otherwise a nice lunch .

It was a bit impersonal and noisy. We arrived just before dinner but it was soon packed. Service was hit and miss. Lots of locals who were given priority. The food was ok, standard pub grub. But we couldn't get a decent wine. Very overpriced. We are in a winery area paying city prices. It was ok for a mid week dinner. All told, an ok night in a very busy, noisy pub.

Booked in for dinner. Extremely disappointed. The haloumi burger was appalling. Tiny, kid sized meal for $24, under cooked, overpriced and very underwhelming. Other burgers going out were huge. I'm not sure what happened to mine. Won't be back unfortunately.

I had roast pork for lunch on a quiet Tuesday afternoon. The crackling was thin and like concrete. I couldn't break it! The broccoli needed a chainsaw to cut it, the carrots were half cooked and the potatoes appeared to have been par-boiled and lightly browned. Tender but not roasted. Very disappointing.
The meat was nice enough and the apple sauce, gravy and roast pumpkin.

Went for dinner and it was stone plate steal day. Never having done this before, I didn't known what to expect. The smell.in the room as all these steaks came out and were being cooked was awesome. I'm not certain on the correct method for cooking, so first tried turning on appropriate intervals, but it wasn't cooking deep enough. So, then I worked out you take slices and cook them as you go. Mouthfuls of perfectly cooked amazingness. Chips and salad good also. Would recommend.

It was an okay meal, cooking the steak on a stone is not a favoured method for me and the beef Schnitzel is okay. Creamy garlic sauce was eh, salad was good.

I visited on Monday, November 6, 2023, for a schnitzel, and I was thoroughly delighted with the quality. The experience was so fantastic that I returned with my family on November 7, 2023, to share it with them. I had the chance to chat with the head chef, who informed me that they had recently updated the schnitzel recipe just three days before my first visit. I must say, I was incredibly fortunate. The new schnitzel was the best I've had in over a year!

Really nice country pub with seating outdoors overlooking the main street but this didn't bother us at all. Not a great choice of beers on tap but again no biggie. Meals were very slow to be brought out and it wasn't busy but they were really nice so just be a little patient as staff here are really nice.

Stopped by when exploring Clare Valley wineries and enjoyed a fabulous meal. I had the lamb shank pie, and my wife had the chicken parmigiana.
Wow! Definitely worth stopping in for a magnificent meal.
Go out of your way for this meal, it is totally worth it.

Elect kettle hard to fill from basin tap which trickled water. Carpet to tile - toe stubber step - needs fixing. Shower poorly designed room towel had to be left on floor as rail too far from shower. Great hot water & no pressure in shower. Great bed & usb power chargers in plugs near bed.

We had dinner there on a Monday night and it was great. You have to order at the bar, the food is good, generous portions. The kids menu comes with cucumber and carrots sticks so very clever. They also have lots of toys on the stage for the kids to play so for us it was good.
Monday was a pizza night for 16 dollars so good win!

On main road so easy to find. Good pub style meal steak was excellent pepper gravy had good spicy flavour. Very family friendly younger kids had bucket of toys on raised areac so easy for mum n dad to keep eye on while chatting to others

A great country pub showing the city how it should be done. Great food and friendly staff. We decided to mix up a few entree's and had some garlic bread, crispy chips, and the Hickory BBQ chicken wings. All delicious and I'll be back...

Appreciated how polite staff were over the phone & upon collection of my order which was ready on time.

Impressed with the extra care taken to pack my order & to top it off compliments to the chef for very enjoyed meal.

Average atmosphere, average food, but the staff is polite. It's sad to see good quality ingredients turned into average dishes with not much taste nor flavour. If you are hungry and not necessarily after a gourmet experience, this pub will do.

Meals were ok. I ordered fisherman's basket only to be disappointed on serving size for $29. Should have gone stonegrill steak . They looked really good . Quality was good but looked like the tide had gone out and taken some of the fish with it

We came for quiz night and that lasted 3 hours. With a lot of time to answer, do all the local teams googled every answer, kind of wack. Without sounding too petty...

Food was pretty slow and the beer selection was average. I think even some of the small small town hotels do it better.

Staff was super polite and we didn't leave hungry, it was mostly just the disappointment of the quiz night that did it for us.

Travelling to Clair for a wedding. We booked 2 nights accommodations 3 months ago, checkin was flawless. The staff were so friendly and accomodating.
The venue it's self was amazing. It was so fresh and open, beautiful building with an amazing outdoor area/beer garden. The Friday night had live music ( not sure of musicians name but he was incredible with an amazingly versatile voice) the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed.
Our room was spotless with two showers, a spa bath & kingsize bed. Would 100% recommend staying in this venue if ever travelling to Clair. Location of the hotel is prime, centre of town, walking distance to everything with nice cafes for breakfast and lunch. Also like to mention the beer garden stools were incredibly comfortable & would purchase some for home if had I found out the name of the chairs !

My Husband and I went to this place yesterday and we must say the food was delicious the serving size was big the price was very good, but i have to commend Tamara and Jaxson who work there they were amazing. Stopped in for lunch today ( New Year's Day ). The lady behind the bar was so lovely , my partner and I both had the roast pork and it was probably the best pub lunch we've ever had.

Just come back to Adelaide after 3 night stay at the Bentley hotel motel.
The units were spotless thanks to the great cleaning Staff. Units have been renovated large and well appointed.
Had pizza Friday night in beer garden the Mexican pizza was one of the best we have eaten.
Your staff in general are too be congratulation on service . What a great place to stay right in the Main Street walking distance to everything.

We ordered our meals, 2 of us got a Bentley Burger each. The chips were good, but when both burgers were cut in half, the insides of the meat patties were still raw. Both were promptly returned. New meals were cooked. New burgers tasted great, just disappointing at the raw patties as uncooked mince can make you sick.

Stayed in Bentleys motel style accommodation next door to the pub. It was great. Reasonable price. Bed comfy, bathroom modern and functional. Quiet, on the main road so therefore easy walking to cafes and restaurants. Definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely the best staff in Clare. So accommodating for our large crowd and couldn't do more to help us with everything we needed. Food was fantastic. Cannot recommend highly enough ??'???'???'???'???'???'???'???'???'???'?

The service tonight was shocking. Waited 1h 15mins for our dinner. Had to ask twice about our dinner. 1st woman didn't come back to tell us anything, just kept bringing out other people dinner. No complimentary drinks, They may have been busy, but waiting that long was bad service. Wont be going back there.

Owner is rude and arrogant to the locals and they just accept it. As a visitor I was disgusted and it rubbed off on the staff. One was fine but one was an absolute jerk. They could learn a thing or two off the great pub up the road.

Good pub food and service. We stayed in one of their motel rooms which was old and with strong damp smell through the place. It was cold in the bathroom with large web in the window which you couldn't close . Old noisy heater. Power was tripped on side of the room with fridge, telly and plug for kettle.Not particularly clean surfaces. Sheets clean.

Situated on the main road, lovely looking place. The hotel was busy for a midweek dinner service.
The staff are attentive and did a great job on the floor & servicing the bar. The food was quick to table, however wasn't that great with taste.
Steaks were dry and tasteless, even the chips weren't cooked well. The side veggies & salad need some seasoning. The oysters were well done.
It is a nice setting for sitting in the beer garden and enjoy nibbles and drinks only.

Had steak, pie, chicken schnitzel and curry. Schnitzel was good, pie was ok, curry what no flavour, steak was on a stone and it took forever just to seal. Drinks were not pub prices. Not recommended

Country pub through and through, good beer garden set up at the front , not hidden away so you can see the life in the town on the main street. The meals were a bit slow but we did have a group of 30, the staff were helpful and easy going. Worth a re visit.

Outside beer garden is nice. Inside is a bit dated. Lacked staff. Had the $10 Monday night pizza deal. Wasn't too bad but isn't worth anymore then $10. Was shocked to see it's usually worth 20?! Do yourself a favour and go to panchos if wanting pizza. Hopefully other meals are better when I return.
