While we had booked a room for a sad occasion (a wake after a funeral), the staff were lovely and very accommodating. We had Sammy looking after us in the room and his empathy and care was very much appreciated (he was so lovely). The food was also really good (I had the classic cheeseburger and it was absolutely delicious and very filling. And I loved the pickle on top). Thank you so much Sammy and to all the staff. We really appreciate it.

I was able to enjoy the great meal. The quality of the food was so good. I want to come again next time. The draft beer was also really good.

Too much garlic in the aoli, Pretty good, there was a possum in the rafters of the outdoor area. Great Chicken and Steak, they didn't forget my Grandmother's order like some other pubs. I love to get the prawns on top of the steak in order for it to be a serf and terf, the garlic sauce and mushroom gravy really add to the experience. Also I once got a jug of beer here for 12 dollars so the pricing of drinks is decent, but kinda expensive otherwise. Oh well...

We come here regularly for family dinners and the food is always delicious and hot, and staff are very friendly and helpful. After a mix up one night the manager was awesome about it and gave us a free dessert and drink. Highly recommend this place, it is worth a drive!

Zero table service. Our table wasn't even clean when we turned up for our reservation. Had to wait and was placed on a wet table. Staff never returned. Forced to order using QR codes. Food took nearly an hour. Rib eye steak was terrible, chewy. Cooked by an amateur. Inedible and left on the table. Would have given feedback to staff but they never came back. Don't ever eat here.

Came for a special mothers day lunch. Ordered Chicken Parmigianas, the cheese wasn't grilled, schnitzels were soggy, the veggies on one order was frozen cold. Highly disappointing, staff tried to take plates without even asking us if we were finished. We were placed in a mouldy function room, where there was major water damage on walls and ceiling. Seated on a cheap trestle table, for a party of 5. Time 12pm and no high chairs were available. Plenty of vacant tables in normal seating area.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a fantastic steak lunch at Centenary Tavern today, and I couldn't be more impressed. From start to finish, my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.

First off, the service was top-notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that our meal was perfect. The menu offered a great variety of options, but I decided to go with the steak, and boy am I glad I did.

The steak was cooked to perfection - juicy, flavourful, and tender. It was served with a generous helping of sides, including crispy fries and a fresh garden salad. Every bite was a delight, and I found myself savouring every last bite.

Overall, I would highly recommend Centenary Tavern to anyone looking for a delicious steak lunch. The food, service, and ambiance were all top-notch, and I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. Thanks for an unforgettable meal!

Great food but was put off by the supervisor. We had come 30 minutes late because of traffic and couldn't phone ahead because phone died. Tavern had heaps of tables to spare but supervisor in the red shirt bumped us off our reservation and gave us a tiny table for 4 to share with 7 of us, claiming there was no room and we should have called ahead. I took photos of the "no room". There were multiple spare tables inside and outside. I could see she felt like a power trip to do that to us. Unfortunately for her she ruined what is actually a decent restaurant and staff.

Food is top quality, and comes out in a timely manner. Management is exceedingly helpful and kind. All of the staff are very friendly and will help in any way possible.

Brought the kids and they had a great time playing on the playground with other kids, and on the small arcade machines inside. Didn't have any worries about them being outside on the playground at night as you can see our there from the restaurant, and can see the video feed from the camera pointed out there. Could not recommend a better pub for a feed.

Lunch today at this great tavern. The place was very quiet. Staff were very helpful with our small group of seniors. Plenty of selection on the seniors menu.. everyone very happy with their choices. Didn't have to wait to long until the meals arrived. They were presented well and served hot ??"?. Well done.. we'll be back.

Menu and bar are fairly limited, decent but nothing to write home about and about 20% more expensive for the quality received. Took 50 minutes from order to table which was disappointing. Calamari sat under the heat lamp for over half an hour.
Kids playground is good.
Service was good. Staff are lovely.
Place is a touch run down, doesn't really know what it wants to be other than a pokies trap.
Probably won't come back as there is better value for money elsewhere.

Good pub fare. Sometimes hit and miss. Family crowd can mean a rowdy experience with little kids running around... I don't mind that. I wish they had some craft beers on tap. Good for an easy, fun, family dinner.

Simple but good and not expensive food. Good selection of drinks and very friendly staff.
Very good place for event or just for lunch or dinner.

The staff were very friendly and eager to help with all our needs. The food was delicious and the serving sizes sufficient. My Thai stir fry beef and crispy noodles, although very tasty, had a bed of lettuce that I thought was a bit too much.

I have been visiting Sumner Park as part of a business improvement course over the last ten weeks.. The Centenary Tavern, over this time, has become my local hotel, so I have become familiar with most of the staff at this establishment.

I recommend the Centenary as a great place to visit for individuals and corporates. The bar and wait staff are friendly and attentive and go above and beyond to will do everything to make your visit enjoyable.

I have attended regular meetings and functions at this venue and have always felt like a king. From friendly reliable service to going above and beyond to make sure our events had everything we needed. I highly recommend giving this venue a look for your next function or even just a meal for the family.

Have been really impressed with the CT the last few visits. The food and service has been great. Especially Nicola who goes out of her way to be accommodating, helpful and engaging. Our kids love the playground and games room. Impressed with the effort they are putting in. Keep it up!

Our first experience was great. Staff were welcoming and appeared happy and helpful. n$1 kids meals on Sundays, a great playground outside and a kids room inside. Then the food was brought out quickly and it was terrific. Ample sized servings, fresh tasting and full of flavour. With the dollar meals for the kids, we paid $57 for 5 of us to eat and we were all pushing to fit our meals in so we didn't waste them!! We will be back.

Sunday lunch today was amazing. They have certainly improved since last visit and left today full to the brim. It does get busy but hey what pub on a sunday doesn't? The kingfish over green curry and rice was bloody tops. Very impressed and will be back.

Very warm & friendly welcome to Centenary Tavern last night. Getting greeted at the restaurant door was lovely. We had a wonderful dinner, meals were fantastically priced and they have some great specials. Gaming room updated with new machines and decor. On the other hand gaming room toilets are atrocious and need money spent on them.
