Was pretty keen to try the steak here because of the great range of cuts presented at the counter. Regret to say that the food here was a let down.

Got the half dozen natural oysters which smelled fishy and looked sad upon presenting, vinaigrette was bland/diluted and I was given 3 forks with no spoon.

The rib eye steak (which was pronounced \'Wagyu\' when served) was rare as can be when I asked for medium rare. The veggies also lacked the almond flakes described on the menu.

The only saving grace for the night was at the beginning, as the lady who served me (with a wicked eyeliner wing!) was very kind and gracious. Sadly things went downhill from there. Understand if it was a busy night but please give your food a bit of love, as these minor deficiencies affect the overall experience.

Fantastic Christmas lunch at Buderim Tavern! Delicious food and a great atmosphere. Elise and Anna did a wonderful job with everything, and Caitlin's setup was beautiful. The kitchen team plated up lots of great food which was super yummy.

Some places just get it. Buderim Tavern is one of them.
The food is classic pub fare done properly - generous portions, well cooked, and exactly what you want when you sit down hungry. Solid, satisfying, no nonsense.
Service is friendly, attentive, and relaxed. Everything flows smoothly, and you feel looked after without being hovered over.
The drinks selection deserves a special mention. There's plenty for those having a beer or wine, but also a genuinely good range for non-drinkers, which makes the place welcoming for everyone at the table.
And yes - I also won the meat raffle, which certainly didn't hurt the overall experience.
Final verdict:
Buderim Tavern delivers great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere with thoughtful options for all guests. An easy recommendation and a place I'd happily return to.

Hats off to the kitchen staff. Food is amazing. I had the pleasure of trying a rump steak that absolutely exceeded expectations. From the first cut to the last bite, this steak delivered on every level.we will be back to try more on the menu.
