A big thank you to the 2 lovely staff ladies who looked after us in the restaurant today. They went out of their way to ensure we had a table in the Restaurant (most appreciated) for an 85th Birthday celebration, and helped with the candles. The bar staff also were very friendly and the food was great.

Really good has great food and beers, met work colleagues here and was a good place to talk, eat and drink. The pork knuckle was a sizeable feast and delicioua too. Beers were good and the atmosphere was family friendly still able to eat and talk. Easy enought to get to from the bus station.

All i would like to say is that ever since it went under new management the portion sizes for this place have been shocking, absolutely putrid. I went here with my bf last week and ordered the same thing i did before; the Ultimate Taster. Evidently, a massive size difference can be seen in the photos (it use to come with three sausages, now only one, not much potatoes, not much sauerkraut or red cabbage), new management has seriously screwed this place over. Do better.

If you're looking to experience the atmosphere, food, and beer that are a big part of Germany and in particular , Oktoberfest, then this place is awesome. Not the "fast food chain" style, but real authentic Bavarian food, amazing array of beers on tap, or cans and bottles. Massive beer hall, members lounge and a great beer garden. Summer or winter, this place is brilliant!

Classic German food in the middle of Brisbane. Great pork knuckle (over a kilo of meat) and the sausage taster are both great choices. You don't need membership to access.

Great place for a beer and some food. The pork knuckle was a little dry with limited gravy to assist. But a few beers helped out.

The German Club is a really good place for a meal in especially during the lunch and dinner breaks at the cricket. In fact it is a really good place to have a really good meal and some sensationally good German beer. The German club is one of Brisbane's hidden gems. The pork knuckle is huge and delicious ..

Amazing food, in good-sized portions. A fair sized car park and wheelchair access out the back. Signage and access were good, although someone had parked on the access, we could get around the car with the wheelchair.

Plenty of space for several simultaneous Christmas parties.

Actually 2.5 stars only. The only reason I love to go to this place on weekly basis is for its Calamari (old menu). The calamari in new menu is so so, chips are tasteless, I am not enjoying the salads. The portion are small. Not complaining but I am really drooling for the old menu.

Really delicious German food here! The Leberkase was very tender with slight saltiness countered by the mash potatoes. Fish and chips were great! Very crispy batter with a very soft interior for the fries. The Kassler was amazing - a recommendation by staff. The loin steak was so tender you wouldn't have thought it was pork! The sausage taster is worth a try too, not too salty and smokiness of the flavours were really good.
We got 3 different desserts - the sticky date pudding was the absolute best, sweetness perfectly balanced by the vanilla ice cream. The apple pie was a bit of a let down, nothing too special about it. Can't remember the name of the last one (it was one of the strudels/pies) but it was delicious as well.
(All this food was shared between 3 very hungry people)

They are very very generous with sauerkraut but it wasn't to my fancy.
Andrew is also an absolute delight, love his renditions to popular songs, definitely made the dinner much better

Great authentic German club, food and beer where both great, price is not cheap but worth it!

Large range of German beers, big hearty meals, and good atmosphere. A particularly great option before a Gabba event, but a good option any time, really. They have lunch deals that are exceptionally good value, so keep your eyes out for those.

Might have to walk in for some takeaways next time, too.

It's a relaxing venue for having pint of beer after work.

The fish and chips was delicious as well their beer and wine. You can participate of a think trivia every wednesday, they are a lot of fun!! Highly recommeded to come with friends

Popped in for lunch & to catch up with a friend, 1st visit, not much room in the car park! That said we managed to squeeze in, food was a bit pricey. Cost $38 for a main, but it was absolutely delicious! Loved the name of the beer ?

Have been waiting to come here for years, I have no idea why I have waited for so long! Love the food, the variety and portions are awesome! We shared a 1kg pork knuckle with some extra veggies and also an awesome tasty warm pretzel. Friendly and Casual vibes! Lovely staff, thank you Crystal! There was even parking at their car park for customers. I'll definitely be back there again to try the other dishes!

The food is authentic German and cooked to perfection. We were a group of 7 for a Xmas meal. The staff were exceptional and gave great service. Unfortunately we could hear the live band well enough to understand what they were saying or singing. It has a great party atmosphere though.

Food is wholesome and yummy 9/10. Would really benefit from some fresh paint and updated decor though. It felt very dirty ?
That being said, strangely the toilets were much cleaner than the actual venue? Interesting juxtaposition but welcomed nonetheless.

Really good place to find a lot of good beers and some authentic German food. Everything really clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. As everybody knows: German beer is superior, do not wait to get you some drinks. It is just common knowledge. But if (can't imagine why) want to drink something else, there are some local beers on the menu too.
Parking is easy, but you shouldn't drink and drive.

I have never been disappointed here. The food is perfectly cooked every time. The person taking your order listens and your order is exactly what you wanted. I have been here more than 20 times and each time I would give them 5 stars!

Went there for the first time this week. Great place for Germans and everyone else. Large portion sizes meals which were great tasting as well. The boys loved the beers obviously. Have heard many people say they like the place.

Such an old favorite! I have been here a few times with my family and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious and the portions are HUGE!!! The staff are accommodating, however, can come across a bit abrupt in their mannerisms. Despite this the beers are large and cold the food is tasty and plentiful and I will continue to go back ?

Delicious food, drinks and great environment but we were both seated in a corner facing a wall which was very unexpected and lessened the experience. Much busier than we would've thought for a Wednesday night so make sure you book and be prepared to park a decent walk away. Don't think we'll come back but glad we visited once.

Been a customer since 70's and quality has always been tops in food however there seems to have been bar staff changes which because of COVID maybe but it has taken some shine off the tradition. Still excellent food but when a customer transaction is started then forgotten because of a distraction and customer left in limbo does not sit well.. hope it's not a habit.

Never been to a German club/restaurant so I have nothing to compare this place to or know if they serve really authentic German food and dessert. Regardless, we had a blast there with my boyfriend a few other friends. On our arrival, the guy at the front door asked us to sign in as we were not members. When we went in we ordered a pretzel which was really delicious. It was a bit sweet and salty. Crispy but also chewy. It was a nice treat prior to dinner. I ordered one of their sausages (excuse me but it was a while back and I do not remember what it was exactly) and my boyfriend ordered their chicken schnitzel. The sausage was so good, juicy and a bit sweet to the taste; the schnitzel was crispy and tender on the inside. A few people at my table had their famous pork knuckle, which was enormous and one person can barely finish it all by themselves. We then ordered a slice of their cheesecake and it was out of this planet. In general, I enjoyed the whole experience but the atmosphere was not for me, as there was music blaring in the background loudly and too noisy to have a conversation.

Very generous serves of good basic food. If meat and potatoes are your thing you'll love it. I like the way the meals come with lots of vegetables.Beer is cheap.Desserts are good.I recommend the cheesecake.Beautiful cream with desserts.Inside could do with a paint.Toilets very clean and spacious.
