Loved this place. Staff were great. Food was very good and plentiful. Small incident with falling outside and the security were very helpful and looked after us. Lovely evening had by all.

Meals are great. Make sure you book. If parking full on main entry, more parks around all the other sides of building. Staff were very helpful. Will be back.

Had a fantastic night on the pokies and talking to lots of people. I go out to the love music who had just finished up and literally asked for one more song yes was a bit hyped but I literally asked them to play one more song then was asked to leave. Not even intoxicated to the point of kick out material just had a few beers only 3 to be exact. Security guard 714 asked me to leave and I asked why? He said because that's all I have to do you need to leave. I had done nothing wrong. Asked for one more song. He then said either walk out or I will make you. I was like what I haven't done anything wrong he then grabs me on my arm to the point of bruising and is pushing me. I informed him he is not allowed to man handle me that way or put my hands on me the way he has. I then walk to the pokies where my husband is and tell him I am being kicked out. I know a security guard is not allowed to put his hands on me and forcefully move me the way he did when I was happy to leave but with an explanation as to why. He tells me I simply need to leave. I was not leaving happy by now as he was a jerk to ask me to leave on the first place. I get to my husband and said to 714 here show my husband how you man handled me...grabs me again but with minimal force literally just held my arm nothing what it was earlier. I will take this further as you security 714 had no right to place your hands on me the way you did. I am sure there will be video footage. Good luck in your poorly paid career. Xx

I go here sometimes on my birthday and I recommend it! Your kids can have fun in the playground as there is a playground and also there's gaming consoles and the food is amazing!

Decided to try the 'Crumbed Steak'. Not our cup of tea. However, the meal was well presented. We will go back & try something else from the menu. Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous & the pub was clean.

If you would like to sit inside and eat your meal with flies and big blow flies, this is a great place to go too!
We couldn't wait to get outta there!

just wanted to say that the lady worker there who has purple hair and red lipstick was really rude. i've never been to this restaurant before and i didn't know what the go was with anything and she was absolutely no help. she had a rude tone and attitude.

The venue can be easily seen from the main road, which is concurrency m convenient for someone who is visiting for the first time like myself. Plenty of parking around the venue. Big dining area, can sit more than a hundred people at once. The menu has relatively limited choices and the burgers were not very good according to other customers whom I was with. The signature rib fillet that I had was good. Staff members were friendly and helpful. It was a pleasant experience all in all.

To be honest I got food poisoning Wednesday night... pub itself is great... but the quality of food is lacking atm

Such a fantastic tavern, very nice inside and lots of room to sit, relax and enjoy a meal with the family, has a large indoor kids playground, great for when a bit of a cooler evening not wanting kids to get sniffles, the meals are large and beautiful, will be back for sure and all the staff are so nice, we all really enjoyed coming here and will be our new go to for a family outing.

What a great place for your family! Beautiful meals, great selection, and an amazing kids' room with a camera set up so you can watch your children whilst eating dinner. So much piece of mind and no stress. Loved it.

Had a pre wedding catch-up for tea. Popular venue. Service was good. Food took a little while but understandable due to the numbers. Good sized children's area was also good

Service, facilities and atmosphere..top notch. Food can take a long time, during peak times to be served given the large capacity of the venue. When it's busy, like a Saturday night, there is generally entertainment and cold drinks available to keep you occupied if you're prepared to understand there may be a wait. Our food took 1hr for wings, burgers and a crumbed steak. Great vibe with the live music though.

Lovely place to celebrate my daughter's birthday. She loves the play area, the food is good value and great tasting and the service is always good.

Wasn'y really impressed with my meal deal last night. No tomato in my salad, coffee and cake was a disaster. Cake was nearly a no go at all and our coffee was barely warm and as weak as water. Not impressed. Usually quite good but a downer last night.

First time at the Bohle Barn for my partners birthday, we had a large booking. Staff were very helpful and amazing, food was lovely, the kids area was great. Overall a great experience we will be back, thank you!

This was our first time there, clean, friendly staff, food was very generous and delicious. Outside area is great, a little too tight between tables would be my only criticism. Friday night the place is pumping, lice music was great.

Can't keep a booking. Called to make a reservation, confirmed for a set time. Arrived and my booking couldn't be found. No effort was made to accommodate my family and staff refused to accept responsibility after acknowledging that the booking was recorded in another book and couldn't bother to find seating. Pretty poor service.

20 for a gathering. Food was widely acclaimed by all. My cape grim rump was probably the best pub steak ever. Only wished that the UFC level on the TV was a bit lower.

Fantastic food so much flavour. Entre of home style garlic bread was really tasty.
My brother had a steak that he said was cooked perfectly to medium and was well seasoned. I had a chicken schnitzel and it was great and the potato chips served with the meals are delicious.
It is very load inside with chatter from customers but outside was much better.

waited an hr for food, went up to ask about it and they couldn't find it.. meals came out cold and looked reheated after 10 minutes of trying to find it! parmi was cold, spaghetti was reheated with no sauce, steak was cold and gravy wasn't heated right! been here before and is normally pretty good, but this round was disgusting?

Huge meals for a very reasonable price. Staff are usually friendly. Great kids area for them to play in. Heaps of seating but does tend to fill up fast. Small pokies area which is too hot inside for my liking. Got our meals pretty quickly. Veggies were not the best with the roast I had. It's got a great atmosphere so we will be returning.

Well what can I say about the meal. OMG make sure you are hungry, the burger was massive chips amazing, went back a few days later with the kids, ordered the lunch family burger pack for $65 we fed 3 adults and 2 children and had enough left over to take home. Great value for money friendly staff plenty for kids to do in the kids room. Highly recommended for all.

Great experience. I lived in Townsville 20 plus years ago and would never think to go to the Bohle Barn for lunch.
Surprisingly It's Very comfortable and child friendly. Dining indoors and outdoors. There were preparations for outdoor live music to occur, this would have been a great night.
The Menu was great, so much to chose from as well. Our meals were ready in no time. We were pleasantly surprised, large portions of very tidy and clean food.

A wide menu with a reasonable number of choices, at a reasonable price. Good kids area, cold beer, warm food and some "specials". Life is good.

Awesome atmosphere on Friday night and the food was also incredible I was very impressed with the quality of the food and despite it being very busy our meals were served in a relatively short period of time, and with 13 of us I was impressed. Great night good food good service very well presented and clean facility and more important awesome company. One more thing Bohle Barn also caters for children with a play room. Highly recommend the Bohle Barn.

Great family atmosphere. Food is fair/good considering how many they cater for so some therefore is better than others. Large serves.

Good spot for a feed. Bit noisy for me others might just call it atmosphere. Good play area for the tin lids while you have a drink and catch up with friends.

Amazing food! Always full after eating here. Recommend the Thursday crumbed steak night!

Great meals, service was good and attentive. Good advice to book a table prior to going due to demand

Lunch with family and friends. My steak was excellent but a couple others in our party waited over 40 minutes to receive a very cold meal. The cost was refunded but but made for a less than perfect Anzac Weekend lunch.

Excellent menu and quality of food. Friendly staff very good service. Very good facilities, in particular the beer garden has excellent shade and plenty of seating. More than enough parking. My favourite pub in Townsville!

Great place to stay. Nice, and clean accommodation. If you want a true counter meal you can't go past the Bohle Barn.

An enjoyable bistro experience albeit rather popular and loud at times.The food here doesn't dissappoint and very few people would ever leave hungry.The indoor play are for the kids is pretty good, although parental supervision varies considerably.I found both the indoor and outdoor areas a little difficult to hear table conversation because it was so busy, yet the food came out at a reasonable pace. A good experience if seating is selected strategically.

Oh wow the menu is awesome n we had the jalapeno poppers n pork belly bits n it was so YUMMY. N the most important thing ....the beers were ice COLD. Also had a great time with all our friends.

Nice place, big dining area and big beer garden. My meal of salmon was a little over cooked for my liking and would be nicer on a bed of mashed sweet potato, potato, pumpkin or a combination of these rather than rice. It was dry and not great. Other meals around the table looked good though.

Bohle barn has an excellent indoor and outdoor area. With quick reasonably priced food options and a really good children's indoor play area. The staff are busy but nice and the facilities are really clean and tidy. Perfect pub for families, tradies and locals!
