Came with a large group. Meals were generally pretty good. Steak took much longer than everyone else's dinner and was a tad overcooked. Schnitzel and crumbed steaks were very nice. Chicken wings were excellent. Good atmosphere and lovely helpful staff.

(5 ⭐in my experience, 4.5 ⭐for my family's) Okay, this place rocks! Immediately I'm met in my thongs, by the sight of the closest table full of laughing, smiling happy people in thongs. So, I keep walking in, obviously I'm not underdressed. Singlets would be pushing it so don't. I saw Hi-vis workers eating away, and MUCH later I actually saw a 'Casual but Neat' dress sign.
The place is HUGE & BEAUTIFUL & clean inside & out, bars both in and out with gorgeous wood everywhere. I could investigate its build on my own for ages with a beer... Which they have a mid interesting range of, I wasn't impressed. But they had alcoholic Brookvale Ginger Beer & Stone & Wood Pacific Ale for us city folk. HOWEVER, GO NUTS on the Irish Whiskey, Bourbon or Rum choices instead, if you know how to stay family friendly. MASSIVE choice.

Also I saw a non-boring-questions trivia game outside that I would have come back to join with another week here. It was well attended and people were respectful, not cheating or talking/yelling throughout. I also did not notice phones being held at all. So Townsville rules this far out are obviously, "Don't Be A DoucheBag". Nice.. Anyhoo😀
The air-conditioning is just right, and the bathrooms were family friendly. I would let my kid go alone if I had one, they wouldn't come back covered in germs.
The meal was fantastic, I had Caesar salad without the garlic croutons, AND they listened to my brother & obliged (can't tell you how many times I get ignored over that request). There were three chicken meals at my table and only one was perfect. They looked like two wicked chicken parmigiana meals and a chicken Kiev, but the Kiev was missing the buttery goodness oozing out. Sad, but true. Despite that it was 100% eaten, not a chip left. The parmigiana that looked 'slightly' dry to me in the middle, was probably due to the size of the thing. Anyway, the meals are Big, so be hungry, or ask for the strong paper take-home things. That's how I finished my yummy and large Caesar anyway.
Also, I won my family who I'm visiting TWO WEEKS worth of fruit, vegetables and meat, by winning both raffles which was for
"Rossie's Fishing club", those gentlemen were real men. Strong, sweet and charming and just 100% kind. It was one of those sweethearts that said on the second round, "Oh, I have seen people win twice, it happens so go for it". And that's the story of how I won two. So THIS PLACE IS MAGIC.
It will be stored in the chiller, broken down into a huge veg box, meat on top and half a watermelon to the side (that's ONLY ONE, so double that if you win both). Apparently, sometimes there are three raffles throughout the evening. So, Bring a truck to carry it home. I already want to revisit the place...

Had my 21st at the Bohle Barn , the service was great upon arrival but we ordered around 6:30pm and the food was not seen for over 2 hours they tried to compensate us on the wait which was great but when the food come out it was Cold ans gross , I would not recommend the Bohle Barn for its food as it is quite disappointing. The staff were lovely but I will never return here for an event again

I was in room 9 on the 1/10/24 . No frills is right , TV had lines through the screen . The bar fridge was making it very hard to sleep . `It did go quiet after a short while. It must have stopped in the night and defrosted leaving water all over the place . The shower taps are also in need of replacement . Great bed and new a/c so very comfortable otherwise .

Welcoming and Great ambiance, fantastic kids playground and they even have a monitor so you can check the kids from afar.

Food is not good, pizza crust can be improved. Pasta is burnt. To share dishes were not available. Female staff at the dispatch area is not accomodating and friendly at all. Waited for more than an hour for the food.
