The food was ok; there was nothing to write home about. The drinks were pretty, but warm cocktails aren't nice. Service was definitely friendly, but we got our own water to the table they don't bring it out, don't bring your cocktails to your table either. A bit slack. But again friendly; too busy chatting to each other. Young guy at lower bar was very good, though.

Beautiful decorations really pretty. Can tick it off my list. Wouldn't bother going back.

What a fun location! Very much enjoyed the crazy decoration with colourfully snakes, spider, surfing koala and kangaroo! The food was also good value, with a broad range of options. Unfortunately the breakfast menu is served from frozen sandwiches and bakery items. This is room from improvement for the Banana Bender.

Amazing on all counts!! Staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was fabulous and best of all served together. And we had a wonderful table setting for Mother's Day.

Great value for money and quality food. The staff are really nice and the atmosphere is lovely. The decorations and rooms are amazing! Pictures can't do it justice. Definitely a place you should visit at least once. There is a bar down stairs and multiple bathrooms across the pub. There is an elevator and wheelchair access throughout. If you plan to visit on the weekend then I recommend making a booking.

Excellent food, super abundant and great taste, also well presented. Excellent drinks. The ambiance is very beautiful, with many colors and a tropical feel, as well as very good natural ventilation and acoustic insulation considering its location next to the highway. I totally recommend it.

Well for our first VD in our new location on the Sunshine Coast, we booked to go to the Banana Bender and iconic hotel/tavern/tourist Mecca. The decor is Absofunkinglutely outstanding with attention to detail that keeps you finding new things if interest during the night. We were pleasantly served by a very willing and engaging Jo at the bar who prepared our cocktails. Nut bush, Shaggin' Wagon, Cuddly Koala and a melon splice. Food, well if you told me I'd be eating a vegan burger ???" and not taste the difference, I'd call you mad. The most succulent chicken breast I've ever eaten and to finish off with a banana split the night ended with a bang (not literally). So all in all a brilliant night of food, cocktails and memories

Update: $18 for a pint raises a few eye brows - overpriced drinks unfortunately! But otherwise, a quirky pub with amazing Australian-themed decorations inside and a great exotic atmosphere. Quite a unique place to go for an (expensive) drink, with both indoor and outdoor seating and a pool table inside. Plenty of seating, and the food actually look quite decent, with good portion sizes!

We were greeted by some of the friendliest staff we have ever met, super nice food, great prices, great choices, drinks were fresh and icy, the actual pub is amazing, so much effort in the fitout, so glad we made the time to stop in, will become a standard stop on our way north from now on

Great exotic atmosphere, splendid decoration, very different from the standard we see everywhere, good choices for drinks and desserts, not a lot of food choices, but still some very interesting ones like the crab burger. The parmigiana was very salty but the rest was really good.

We stopped in on our way back to Brisbane to have dinner tonight (Thursday 16/11/23) and we four thoroughly enjoyed the whole Banana Bender Pub experience.

On entering the pub, you are met with a riot of quirky/eclectic decor as far as your eyes can see, upstairs/downstairs.

The staff upstairs were very friendly and very efficient. They brought all the meals out at the same time. We did not have very long to wait for the meals. Our dishes were cleared quickly.

The food was delicious with the steak cooked to medium rare perfection and the squid was tender. Not chewy.

The soft shell crab burger was inhaled and the black garlic emulsion that accompanied the miso glazed barramundi needs to be bottled and sold alongside the souvenirs.

Portions were substantial with generous servings of fries.

Our meals surpassed our expectations and our Banana Bender Pub experience will now become a staple stopover. ?

Banana Bender Pub is a great place to refresh, relax, stretch, and have a tummy refill after a long drive or whilst on your way to Sunshine Coast.

The area has different shops and restaurants to cater to your likings.

We went to Banana Bender ? and got ourselves a steak burger ???" and steak and shrimp burger, which was absolutely awesome ??'?.

They had a great serving of burger ???" and fries?.

Attended an amazing Curated Plate food experience at the Banana Bender Pub last night. The 7 course meal prepared by Chef Robert and his team was wonderful, full of flavour, using the freshest Sunshine Coast produce, and superbly creative in its presentation. All of which was beautifully announced and delivered by Restaurant Manager Diago and his attentive team. Congratulations to all on a truly spectacular 5 Star ?? food event and I'd recommend all to taste the innovative and value for money food at Mango's Bar & Grill at the Banana Bender Pub. ??'???'???'???'?

I recently visited the Banana Pub, a charming and quirky establishment that offers a combination of captivating visual spectacles and standard pub fare. While I was aware that the food would be average, the true allure of this place lies in its vibrant atmosphere, which did not disappoint.

In terms of service, I would give it a solid three stars, as there were a couple of mishaps with our orders. However, if these mistakes hadn't occurred, the service would easily merit four stars. Despite these hiccups, most of the meals were cooked well, although the chips on this particular occasion were disappointing. The standout dishes of the night were undoubtedly the succulent lamb shank and the flavourful BBQ chicken pizza.

Overall, if I happen to be passing by, I would consider revisiting the Banana Pub. While it may not be a destination I would go out of my way to return to, the enjoyable atmosphere and decent food make it a decent option for a casual outing.

I would say that excellency of food and well served and also atmosphere of the venue and customer service were high in standard.

We had always driven past this pub and thought, that looks cool to try. Last night we tried it for the first time and loved it. When we walked in we greeted with lovely and approachable staff. The building was cool with all the different sections across the four floors. The staff were super helpful and knowledgeable about the menus and drinks. The food was presented well and delicious. Will come here again and again.

Food was surprisingly good. Chips were crisp. The fish and calamari nicely cooked and excellent salad.There was a live band which made the place quite noisy so not for the hard of hearing. We were on a day trip and chanced to stop for lunch in this brightly painted, quirky named and decorated pub. It was fun. Lots of families. Good service.

Happened to stop here for lunch with my 10 year old daughter. From a short distance (few hundred metres) I wasn't expecting much other than a tacky, dingy pub. I am so happy to say I couldn't have been more wrong. This place is outstanding! It is fresh, colourful, fun, clean and inviting and was one of the best experiences I have had in a while. Very good and efficient service and the menu options are plentiful. Most importantly for my daughter they had a range of "mocktails" to choose from. If you are in the neighbourhood please do yourself a favour and drop in for a drink or bite to eat. You won't be disappointed!!

WOW - sensory overload! As soon as we arrived at the ample parking area and we took in views of the Pub, we all let out an audible WOW! Amazing colors and spectacles everywhere. And the grandeur of the place is impressive. This was my first visit on the back of recommendations from friends, and they weren't wrong - WOW! The menu seemed small in comparison to everything else there, but there are plenty of choices for all ages and tastes. Having seen the transformation of this place and some of the existing building structures make me feel so thankful for this icon place. We came into late and missed dinner. Still happy to have a drink. A lovely environment and a fabulous atmosphere setup. The staff are friendly, and we will be back for the meals.

Today was my first visit to the Banana Bender Pub and I loved it. Great vibe, awesome Aussie decor, tastefully furnished yet casual and comfortable. Friendly staff, the menu was ample and the food was delicious. Although busy the food didnt take long to arrive and all our meals were well presented.
Our group agreed we would return!

Really relaxed vibe! Really nice and helpful staff. Went for dinner with a friend on a whim. I ordered the pork collar steak and they ordered the salmon. Both were very well priced and delicious! They had $10 dark and stormy's as a special cocktail. The atmosphere was amazing with several different themes rooms around the bar. We were lucky enough to get a tour around the venue and got to see the live music part of the pub. It would be a fantastic place to see a gig. They have a shuttle service for up to 10km from the venue so it is very handy for locals. It's a shame that it was so quite there because it really is a fantastic venue. Very kid friendly too. I will definitely be visiting again the next time in up in the area

With oodles of parking and excellent decor, the Banana Bender Pub is a brilliant venue for a gathering or a quiet meal for two. Well-priced and heaps of variety in the menu - including a Seniors' Menu - the staff are a breath of fresh air with loads of character and fun in their eyes. The food was average and I have a feeling some of the food was frozen beforehand instead of being fresh. The price you pay is definitely not worth as there are many other restaurants that sell food of this price that tastes better by tenfold. Although the food may not be the best, the staff were very friendly people which is one of the pros of this place. Making this 2/5 because staff is great.

All the staff very friendly and helpful. Decor different kept finding really great musical instruments from my youth. Food delicious ? order to the table very quick. We sat and had a long catch up with friends we hadn't seen for a while, not rushed out. We will be going back to the Bender soon?

We had a great time at the Banana Bender. Passed it many times and had never gone inside. But now we have, we will definitely be back. The food is well priced, portions huge and delicious. The staff were most excellent, thank you Erin!

I wish we get pubs like this in Victoria. Went there today and my partner and myself were just gobsmacked with the uniqueness of the pub. I had so much character with so many quirky things in it. Our parmigianas were simply amazing flavours and tastes. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. Great place to stay for experiences of fun times.

Our experience at the Banana Bender Pub was phenomenal. Our server, Erin, was incredibly lovely and engaging. I've never met someone who made me believe they genuinely enjoyed their job as much as she did, and I've never felt more immediately comfortable. The food itself was delicious and very good value for money. 10/10 would visit again!

Had work Xmas party and had a nice night my pizza was nice but a few people on the table were really disappointed with there meal. Then tonight went for a 21st and the girl in the bar was so rude we couldn't believe it, my meal was so bad the ravioli was cold and seemed like it was really under cooked, no flavour. First time in my life I've left a meal bearly eaten. The waitresses walking around clearing plates were lovely. nThe restaurant it self looks amazing but sadly not planning on going back anytime soon because of food and service.

One of the coolest pubs I've ever been to, you have to visit.

Our first time there since it has been refurbished. We were very impressed, very nice decor and vibe. We had items from the lunch menu, onion rings and chicken wings. Only complaint would be not enough sauce and it would have been good to have been given cutlery for the salad side and serviettes. Other than that, a very enjoyable visit.

Wow! What a great iconic Aussie Pub. It's worth a visit just for the styling and decor.

I really love it. I liked the old one too but this one is top knotch. Everywhere you look it's colourful and fun. The flowers painted on the outside are amazing. The Food delicious. The Staff are just awesome. Well done. 10 Stars.
