We stayed last night in a motel room : we were desperate after so many motels were booked out, we were happy with clean comfortable room i would suggest that extra pillows be provided and that is all, everything else was good. We also had a meal in the hotel great food fast service friendly staff and nice dining area ... definitely would recommend.. thank you Marcia and Dave

Really great Wed burger and beer special. Young Bartender suggested a lovely beer and the burger and fries were great. Not noisy and they were doing a nice business for mid week.

Chilled atmosphere and awesome food we are from Albury/wodonga passing through and would definitely pull in here again!

Old style country pub - great service & a surprisingly wide menu choice at good prices. Food was fantastic.

Really lovely people and great food but my room was like a prison cell. Clean but that's about it. Other than the room though great place for a beer and food.

The outside temperature was about 8 degrees but the wind and rain made it feel a lot colder. A lamb roast was called for and it was the best lamb roast I've had for ages. Generous serving with beautifully done vegetables and topped with a great gravy. Only $15 made it even better. Friendly staff, quick service and it was warm and dry. Well done.

We stopped in to the Australian Hotel Motel for lunch on a road trip and we're happy to be greeted with warm smiles, good drinks and generous portions. The only fault we have, and could be a regional thing, was that we found all of the food to be very sweet. We got the Lamb Salad, Chicken Parm and Wagyu Beef Burger. The salad dressing, chips and burger all had a sweetness to it we didn't expect but otherwise beautifully prepared.

Outdated accommodation, guest Security is a joke always leaving fire exit door open so anyone can come in.
Smokers area below the guest room so loud drunken people keeping you awake plus a fight broke out the night we stayed.
Would recommend staying up the road a bit in the motel instead.

Stayed in room 21 for one night to break up a long road trip, ok for one night, wouldn't recommend more than that.

They've placed a smokers area by the rooms so sure enough loud drunk people talking below the rooms, even a fight broke out at 11pm in this area, waking us up and keeping us awake for hours.

Guest Security is not great one fire escape door constantly left open for random people to walk in and being a shared toilet & bathroom area that, we felt very unsafe.

Popped in for lunch on the way back to Sydney and decided $15 burgers & a beer sounded like a good deal.

It really was an amazing burger.

Won't ever stop at the dog on the tucker box again.

Staff were friendly when signing in, but the room was extremely basic and required going through the smoking area to access. The only ventilation was a single window overlooking said smoking area, and without air conditioning the room got stuffy quickly.
Common showers had no where to sit personal items, but the amenities were clean.
Expensive for what you get.

Great food .Had Lunch there over the past 2 Sundays and the steaks have been too shelf. Well done. But not sure whether a squealing child around the bar cuts the pub test !!!

Bare minimum for $160. No soap, glasses or anything. One pillow per person. Pub meal was good

Beautiful cooked Sunday Roast. Right size for me. Sam and Bar staff very attentive to detail. Pub very clean and modern. Bathrooms located just near Bistro.Plenty of parking.1000 stars as well

Location is good, nice customer service. The room is clean, but very old style, $100/night for a double bed bedroom. Shared toilet and shower at the end of hallway. Only one single electric outlet in the room, and it's faraway from the bed.

The motel out the back was the most BASIC & BAREST that i have ever stayed in . 1 sample of soap for 2 people, no tissues, heater only worked when it felt like it, no hair dryer. Why was there a microwave when there were no dishes, no glasses, & the only cutlery was one lonely tea spoon. Not even a soap holder in the shower, let alone any shampoo or conditioner. All the above is not life shattering, but for $160. its "only" YASS. By the way the original quote over the phone was $150. To drive around to the rooms you will need a 4WD.

Been many years since needed to in emergency, back then it was much appreciated and staff looked after me well. However, it under new Management now and just want to give feedback on meal had with a group of friends that meet once a fortnight, at venues around town for lunch.
Was very impressed with the changes made since last time there. Decor more lighter and dinning tables not as cramped.
Lunch specials, although limited, covered the basics. Full menu also attractive. 4 out of 6 dinners choice this day was the fisherman's basket (including myself). Others choose from main menu. The offering of scallops; fish, prawns; calamari; and straw fries, which were beautifully seasoned, was delicious. Would of happily sacrificed some of the generous portion of chips for a small token bit of salad tho.
Overall, our lunch group definitely be putting the Aussie on our lunches rotation sooner than later. So far its the best Fishy Basket in town.

We stayed in a pub room. It was a good night sleep in a comfortable bed, in a very clean and tidy room. The share bathroom was close by, felt safe when in use and was clean.
I highly recommend this Australian pub stay.
I bought a good quality, fairly priced hoody to wear and take home, it could be my favourite comfort hoodie now.

Wow what a great place to stay! So much atmosphere, the staff are super helpful and friendly and I must congratulate the chefs as the meals are mouth watering e.g. the steak and the pork ribs! The Australian Hotel Motel is in a fantastic location with off-street parking. I've stayed here twice on two separate occasions and I would like to highly recommend the Australian Hotel Motel, Yass, NSW!

We popped in for a quick meal on the way to Sydney and were overwhelmed by how friendly the welcome was. We were persuaded to join trivia, given free cupcakes, activity packs for our toddler, had our dietary needs taken into account and felt we could relax as our toddler sang along and made a general mess. The food was good and staff exceptional, a really great find.

The menu from the bistro was amazing. The steaks & parmy's were the best I've had in a while. The staff are super friendly and accommodating to your
every needs. The Aussie is a huge supporter of LIVE entertainment. Classic pub atmosphere.
Will frequent there more often. ????? from me!

The quesadillas are really disappointing!

The quesadilla itself has a weird taste and the chicken is tasteless.
The squid was alright but the portion was small compared to price charged

Having a restaurant on location makes dinner plans easy, especially if your stay here is work related.
Fairly sure they may also offer a wash service for clothing upon request, cannot remember for sure though ??'?

Best pub meal I have had in ages. The meals were simply delicious. While my steak was served with a steak knife, a butter knife would have done just as well - perfectly moist and tender.

If travelling through Melbourne Sydney do yourself the favour and pop in; Yass isn't that far off the Hume; even perfect for a day trip from Sydney.

Stopped here for lunch and was extremely pleasantly surprised. 2 for 1 Wednesday special was great to start but the food (carbonara and steak) were both amazing. Chips and sauce were both as good as I've had and prices even without the 2 for 1 are great!

If your traveling the Hume Highway for any reason and need a feed call into the Australian Hotel, Yass. Monday to Friday lunch specials are fantastic. Wednesday is 2 4 1 deal. Try going to the big fast foods on highway and get 2 meals for $19. As per photos. Packed with flavour. Thanks??
