We found what was suppose to be a menu for the bistro in our hotel room. This place was busy with people playing bowla, but so run down. The menu offered nothing like what was shown in our hotel room (not their fault) and the whole place was just depressing. When you ask your wife and son if they want to leave and they both want to go, I quickly got up and left.

Staying in Yass en route to Sydney. Good dinner spot for us. 2 small kids. Ate early, meal was quick, staff were lovely. Had the rump steak special, grilled barramundi, bolognese and kids nuggets. Kids loved the bolognese, steak was cooked really well. Really enjoyed this meal. To note it's cash only but atm available inside. No outside seating unless you want to be amongst the smokers.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, basic mid 20th century decor. An extensive menu. Close to 100 dishes. Very reasonable prices and the food to die for, both my husband and I loved every mouthful.

Really enjoyed our food here. The t bone steak was cooked to perfection and the menu choice was large and varied.

Order pick up which was not ready when they said it would be and I was not warned on the phone it was cash only. the food was really good when it was ready

Very confused by the bottom reviews. This was some of the worst food I have ever had. I ordered pork and rice and it was interesting not in a good way. What can only be described as a bbq plate, I received a handful of rice, a handful of coleslaw, some spring rolls, a few pork crackle chips that were absolutely from a packet and some under cooked very fatty pork. NEVER AGAIN

Simply the best feed in Yass. Something for everyone on the menu. If you are looking for somewhere to eat in Yass don't look any further. I can't give this place enough STARS! You won't be disappointed.

Great meal great atmosphere

Had an opportunity to go for dinner and it was recommended by a work colleague. Unfortunately although explaining about food preferences (non dairy) and being assured that we were heard, our entree came (after 90 minutes, it was busy, but the beer was good) with cheese and butter (the Terracotta potatoes and Turkish bread). The bread was finally substituted with white toast and garlic, even though I did say that the Turkish bread on its own would be fine ?? Another entree of pork dumplings were okay according to our eldest. Entrees over eventually we received our mains. The steaks were good, mine nicely cooked but one came with a strange grey sauce instead of the grilled onions requested. The pasta (without cheese) was good and flavoursome. The chicken burger was a hit and the Pad Thai noodles (without chicken and egg) "yummy". One thing going for all the food was that it was hot on arrival.
Some of the service lacked obviously in translation to the kitchen on preferences but the most unimpressive was not what we expected from a country club, and we have been to a few, was the obsenities that were expressed under breath from our server (and we did hear!!!) when we questioned the dairy and did not do anything for the bowling club. The other two servers, clearing tables were polite and efficient, they do the club proud.
Overall, disappointing, especially when customers are trying to support the local community.

Top spot to relax and do family stuff. Plenty of things happening and the food was surprisingly good. Add in some decent live music and it's a worthwhile place to relax.

Perfectly cooked prime cut of meat, Fresh salad and nice cold beer!

Went there for a wake. It seems quite nice though.

Good friendly country club. Cold beer and a good bistro serving good food at a reasonable price. A nice place for a meal when travelling and stopping in Yass for the night.
