Found this place whilst walking look for lunch. I ordered a drink, wine. Then when I went to pay by card, they hit me with a 19cent surcharge....ok, so alcohol isn't cheap and I don't mind paying, but then charging a surcharge for using card, when they don't want to handle 'dirty cash' and want you to use your card....I drank my expensive wine and walked to the Aspley Tavern where prices are reasonable, oh, and there are actually other people there....That tells you something....one could have fired a rifle, and the staff would have been unawares

Went there for after funeral get together. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good selections on the menu. Caters to all tastes and budgets.

First and last time going here unfortunately. Food was OK. Veges were undercooked, steak tasted like burnt charcoal and the mash was plain. The highlight was the cheesy garlic bread and the dogs enjoying the leftover steak at home. If you do eat here just order at the counter since the app says a few items are sold out yet available if ordered from the counter. Specials aren't on the app either. Very underwhelming experience and wouldn't go back again.

And absolutely friendly staff from front of house and to the kitchen.
Am looking forward to eating here more regularly.

Overall it was good for a quick meal.
Food order did take to long to arrive, about an hour and one meal was missing.
The staff were very apologetic which I really respected.

Went for lunch again today and as usual the food and service were terrific. It was quite busy with a large booking of at least 30 people. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the large booking they were able to service that booking in a timely manner in addition to all us other patrons.

Staff were really nice and the food was excellent. New menu is great.

I saw another review from some salty real estate agent (enough said), no idea what he was on about, it's not been my experience so I'd take it with a grain of salty salt.

Nice place, friendly staff, quick service. Meals were pretty good - we had a schnitzel and a steak. Schnitzel was nice, didn't taste like one of those cheap frozen ones that many other pubs/taverns serve. My husband said his steak was a bit 'charcoaley' but he still enjoyed it overall. Will most likely return.

We have only recently decided to give this place a try again after a few year personal strike over a fedora and a soft shell crab (not important)! We are so so glad we did. The food has been absolutely superb! The service was very friendly and accommodating and the food came out super fresh, flavoursome and speedy! The pricing was very reasonable and in line with average current pub food prices including specials. We were surprised it wasn't busier; it definitely should be! In saying that it was a weekday. The price for drinks at the bar were a bit of a small pinch but with alcohol tax on the hike it wasn't a surprise. They were lively thirst quenching drinks. 9.5/10 for us. Will be back, again and again.

We stopped in the for lunch yesterday. We were pleasantly surprised that it was kids eat free, but was disappointed to find out that they no longer do the Sumday roast
My partner ordered the chicken burger and I ordered the doorstep steak sandwich and we shared a bacon and cheese garlic bread.
The garlic bread was great and was undoubtedly the best part of our meal.
The chicken burger was ok. The doorstep steak sandwich was noway near the size of a doorstep.
The beer was lovely and cold though.

The food was amazing! We booked a table of over 30 people the Tavern was understaffed however the service we received last night was nothing but 100% these young people were so helpful and did their jobs what seemed no effort they kept their cool amongst our big families craziness and I just want to commend them and say thank you so very much we felt welcomed and supported the food was just beautiful seriously you would have never thought they were understaffed as the customer service was on point! Keep up the great work! Thank you from the Minniecon family & friends!

Had the pork sunday Roast.
Where to start, cauliflower was cold, carrots where raw, stuffing balls where very dry and burnt, crackling was dry (probably the worst I've ever had) Roast potatoes were hard (teeth breaker). After reading the reviews I can understand now. Big changes needed

I've been once. The pub looks nice, but the food was horrible. I would not recommend it. My partner and i both didnt finish our dinner because it was just bad, and our daughter got a tuna mac that was revolting. This was April of 2021 though so maybe its gotten better by now. I would hope they have hired better cooks

I love their special fish tacos today. It has a flavor and I feel like it's very authentic Mexican tacos. My husband tried the steak which was perfectly cooked. Thank you very much I will be there again!

The atmosphere was good. We got seated outside in the heat. We had to ask for the overhead fans to be turned on and water for our table. Food was of a good standard. My steak was slightly over the medium rare that I asked for. Bar service was prompt and friendly. Our food took a while, but only because they were very busy for Sunday lunch.

Very badly cooked steak. Asked for medium rare and it came out almost well done and very dry.

I've been here several times, its always a lovely experience. The staff are great! Environment is very clean & organised. The food never disappoints.

A tavern in the burbs of Brisbane that offers excellent well cooked and presented food at reasonable prices. Good selection of tap beers and ciders. Very clean facilities, disability friendly. Pleasant atmosphere. Open Monday night! Great discovery!

We attended on a Sunday lunch on Father's Day. There were 2 of us.

We did not have a booking however the staff were able to accommodate us.

We had an entre - salt and pepper squid. It was very tasteful.

Our mains arrived and were a little disappointing. The garlic prawns - too much liquid and in dire need of salt. The chicken parmigiana - was overcooked and a bit dry.

Service staff were excellent though.

Staff are always friendly and food is good.

What do I say about a meal at a tavern? I'm sure you've had many; just know that Aspley does everything really well; with friendly and personable staff, delicious food, and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere

Finally someone who makes a moist tasty lasagne.
Enjoyed the very generous portion..tasty..moist.

Always attend fortnightly with my daughters, a daddy daughter date. Always have a steak and it's always cooked to my liking, med, every time. Quick with the meals and a good menu choice. Monthly drink specials. Staff are very friendly.

Fantastic environment. Lovely staff, greeted by one lovely lady (Didn't quite see her name under her hair long blond hair but very bubbly) at the entry upon the restaurant seated us then notified us of chef specials available, then the same staff member took our food order followed by our drinks and serving our meal. Made our visit very pleasant. Well done to your fantastic staff member doing well for your venue.

Always enjoy coming in for lunch with my mum. The lovey tall happy Lady that served us drinks and food was a superstar. It Was the first time my mum has been asked it she was a senior and got a discount her meal. Not sure If she is management but she sure knew what she was doing. Looking forward to our next visit.

Went here for some beers and some vodka shots, nice drinks and price is half decent. Service took a little while with bar staff being quite distracted and the seating for food is so close to the bar it is concerning and strange. The layout does not really make a lot of sense and I believe it is poorly designed although the place was clean and the staff were welcoming once they turned around and realised you were waiting to be served.

Good service, good pub food done well but nothing too fancy, came out of the kitchen really quickly. Quizzame trivia was lots of fun! We'll be back.

Thank you so much for looking after us yesterday for the wake of my brother. nThe function room with adjoining open verandah was perfect - it was a lovely relaxed space to celebrate my brother's life. nThe food was incredible - great variety, lovely gluten free platters, more than plentiful, and great value. nThe management and staff looked after us so well, and I had excellent communication from Katherine prior to the event. nThanks also to Nick, the bar staff, and to the wonderful chef for making our event so special.

I'm surprised there weren't more ppl tonight as it's a good place for a bite to eat and the food is very good. We won over $300 in the pokies so it was actually a good night. Clean and staff are very friendly.

Pretty basic pub but the food was nice. Visited on a Friday night and the guitarist playing was really good. Would have been great but it was a bit busier.
