It\'s a great place for a steak dinner. Many other menu options all delicious. I recently had morning tea there and this was very pleasant too.

I went to play pokies at the Algester Sports club in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I want everyone to listen carefully and think twice before playing there because I had a very bad experience.

One day, while I was playing, I was sitting at a machine and placing good bets. I had won around three hundred dollars. Suddenly, the machine showed an error message, something like a "door open" notification. Then an option appeared asking me to select "Yes" or "No." When I pressed "Yes," the money I had won disappeared immediately.

A short time later, another game started, but my previous winnings were gone. I told the staff that I had not received my winnings. They came and pretended to check the machine, but they did not refund my money. They said they would speak to the boss and the technician and get back to me, but I never received a call back or any update.

There was also a woman sitting next to me who witnessed everything. She told the staff that she saw with her own eyes that I had won and that they should refund my money. Even after that, they still did not return my winnings.

This incident happened at Algester Sports club. Please be careful and stay aware

A hidden gem, Algester sports club for me is right up there with the best steak restaurants in Bisbane, at a fraction of the cost. The only time I ever had an issue with my steak was on an incredibly busy night - full house - when I told the young bloke working the floor Ben that my steak was a bit over (first time ever), he returned it and the chef Jack cooked me up another one with no questions asked, and it came out absolutely perfect!

In addition to their standard steak menu, they always have a range of great steak specials stuck up where the grilling takes place.

Always a fantastic atmosphere with friendly locals and lots of events on, and Vicki behind the main bar is a legend too!

Don\'t hesitate to try this place out - it also has a small kids room.

We recently hosted a business celebration with Algester Sports club in their private room and it was fantastic!
Kacey and her team did a fabulous job! From communication during the organisation & lead up to the event, to on the night itself, we couldn't have asked for a better venue.
We received so many compliments from our guests about the Smoked Bacon & Caramelised Onion Quiche, the Beef Satay Skewers with Raita Dressing and the Truffle Mushroom Arancini with Marinara Sauce!
The drinks are really well priced, staff were happy to help with our requests and worked amazingly with our third party entertainment.
Having your own welcome sign, bar and toilets made hosting and coordinating an event for 50 people, so much easier.
