My father asked politely if the music could be turned down as there was a speaker right in our ear. The woman he asked rolled her eyes without trying to hide it. She was very unprofessional and rude.
To top it off the meals were cold and service was staggered to the point others were already finished. Rude staff , average food. Don't waste your time.

It's the first time that I have been to the Alex in years, and to say it has changed would be an understatement.
My wife had the pork nuckle and I had food envy when it came out. It was huge!! All the food was of a large portion and very well done.

We went there for breakfast and on their menu said that we can add mushrooms for free or salmon, ham for 50cent but they charged me 4$ more. When I asked why, the manager could explain why. And no where was mentioned that you cannot choose more then one.
This is a misleading information so they can charge you more.
Plus the rocket on top was off, was completely yellow. I would not recommend it,
The smell inside terrible a mix of alcohol and close environment.

There was a sewage smell at reception and on the first floor, it was so bad I couldn't use the gym. The restaurant dining was awful, food under cooked and definitely not worth the money. This is the 2nd time I've stayed here. Feels like costs have been cut or new ownership.
The rooms are big, the bed was comfortable but the rooms are very tired.

This place was a dump when I was growing up and had a rubbish night club. This place now is awesome has been fully renovated and has been overhauled. hotel is clean and staff are friendly. Food is good and highly recommend to punters. Plenty of carparking and pleasant surrounds . Well done.
