I have been coming here a lot the last few weeks with family who are on holidays and the have enjoyed the pub the location and the food has been great too .
The pints of Guinness have been very tasty
Now The bad -
Last night I took my mum for a dinner and some drinks
(The food was great)
The Guinness was very bad !
I told the girl behind the bar it wasn't good gave her back half a pint .
Thought it might have just been a bad pour and ordered another .

I had two mouthfulls and couldn't drink anymore .
It was very flat , pint had no head just very poor overall
Some lessons on pouring could really benefit them

When I told the girl behind the bar about it she was rude and frankly didn't care
Noting she could do about it as she said .

Very disappointing and very poor service/customer care
Two pints wasted and money thrown on the floor
We enjoyed coming here until this happened last night , we might stay clear in future unfortunately.

Great brisket sandwich. The fish taco, though, is not what I was expecting. Deep fried fish in a fish taco?? It's too heavy. Lovely joint though.

Nicely renovated pub.

Unfortunately the food is pretty average and expensive for what it is and the service is pretty cold.

Also don't advertise as being open until midnight when you kick everyone out at 11.30. Got hounded 4 times in 15 minutes to get out on a Friday when the place was still packed.

I visited the pub twice. Ate both times, and enjoyed both the beer and food immensely. The folks behind the counter were all friendly and willing to talk to a Yank roaming their country.

This is a very handy and eclectic hotel situated in a very nice part of Zetland minutes to the main hub of Green Square. This was my first visit but certainly not my last. Shane greeted us and is super friendly, the rest of the team are also very nice. The good sized a varied menu was explained the ordering is done at the bar and vast array of drinks, your given a buzzer and then collect your food when it's ready from the kitchen area. We made our choices and sat at the large lovely table within the bistro area. There's also a nice court yard area and the dining area is large, open and has all been recently refurbished. The best thing is that the food is very good and great sized portions. This includes steaks, ribs, salads, fish and chips and more pub favorites, something for everyone including vegetarian. There's a large variety of tasty main courses for the dinner menu also, and exclusive lunch specials.
I love that walls are covered with photos of bands and performers. The walls and floors are decorated well I wouldn't say this place is sheik, but it's on trend, with good honest food and excellent sized portions, with great service by all. If you're there on one of the lucky nights they do Drag Bingo, you're in for an entertainment treat and hopefully, Maybe karaoke,? where you'll be able to let your inner star out and perform. The makeover is great, a fresh vibe. The place is super comfortable, with plenty of areas and seats, and easy to catch up with people. Nice one!

Look, I just went in quickly for a look. The renovations are really well done. I was very impressed ??'? Will go back sometime for a drink and a meal for sure.

Lovely fit out inside and lovely garden, great bathrooms and food options but please learn how to pour a proper Guinness. Happy to wait for a good quality pint of Guinness no need to rush it. Looking forward to my next visit

Came in after a long day of moving to the area and needed a feed and beer at 9pm. We were informed the kitchen was closed, but the chef who was in ear shot said that he could make some chicken tenders and chips, which was kind of him. If you have a furry friend, great beer garden and also a massive screen to watch your favourite sport.

A nice pub with plenty of seating. I had their roast but it didn't live up to expectations. The meat was dry and overall, wasn't anything special. I'll try another dish next time I go.

In an area completely transformed the Zetland retains the feel of the friendly local pub.

They have flavoured margaritas. An immediate 5 stars just for that. Plus i love the drag bingo. So fun!!! Ping is the best ??????

I don't know if there's new management or chefs in the kitchen or what. Ordered my countery with a side of aioli. When I went to pick up my food chef told me it's not on the docket you need to pay for that. The situation is one it's not my fault the wait staff can't take a food order properly two you want me to walk all the way around to the bar and back again after your wait staffs mistake and three might of been fine if the chef didn't bark at me like I was a member of staff and give me unnecessary attitude.

Attend this pub frequently because of the great customer service and food always a 5/5 for me.

Unusually long wait time today too for a quiet Friday,chips were cold and half were over cooked and black too like they'd been double frying them.

Nice place but had a bad experience when we weren't allowed to order food at 8:50pm even though the menu said kitchen was open until 9pm. Staff weren't particularly friendly or sympathetic in telling us either.

This place was horrible. The manager was frustrated and showed unnecessary irritation towards my partner, Father and myself. He verbally drove us out of the establishment as we lingered on the way out to purchase some ciders for home and to use the ATM.

Despite his rudeness I talked with him reasonably .... He showed no consideration for my father who is crippled and hobbling around on one leg. Essentially rushing us out without helping him with the door.

Apparently the only fault of ours was that we had our dog with us (despite there being other dogs) He hovered over us and glared as we tried to conduct ourselves. My partner felt rushed to order his drinks and the staff seemed overly tired and struggled to process a simple order.

Previously we had remarked how surprisingly nice this establishment was before he made us feel so unwelcome. It is truely unfortunate as we are locals yet do not feel welcome at our local.

I tried not to let the experience get to me but it was hard and so I felt the need to leave this review. I certainly hope that someone sees this and does something to improve the environment for both patrons and staff.

A great place for a bite and a pint or even a cheeky cocktail (their espresso martinis are divine). The staff are super friendly and the food is always tasty with generous portions. They are currently undergoing a bit of a re-vamp of the property and it's going to look absolutely lovely when done! Highly recommend the trivia night on Tuesdays for good fun, prizes and it's always a bit of a laugh.

really well taken care of building with very friendly staff and helpful customers. I went for trivia there on Tuesday and I had such a great time there. The host took the time to make sure I was well-adjusted and was very patient in setting up and delivering the event. The food was also really good there and so too is their drink selection.

I've been coming here for a year now, but that time has come to an end :( I am moving to Europe with my little family but I can honestly say that I have always felt at home here, SIRI the beautiful welcoming lady queen has always made me feel at home with her warm welcoming with her perfect service, she always had time to see how my day was and make sure that I was doing ok and if I needed anything, thank you for all the hospitality and all the kind service. This place is a must go! Local or not food is pup food but not that kind that doesn't satisfy your cravings! Thanks Siri for making my year here at Zetland hotel feel like home. xx

Whole team helped to make our Engagement Party a very enjoyable experience.

The staff were friendly, efficient and courteous and the food was wonderful.

The team provided service that exceeded our expectations, and due to their seamless execution of our party plans my fiancée and I could just get on with enjoying ourselves throughout the party.

Large pub with nice outdoor area with plenty of seats. There are some comfortable couches indoors as well. Decent beer selection on tap. Would go back again.

Venue was huge for a bar and quite clean. Chicken burger was average though, the batter is under seasoned and the batter they use to coat the chicken is definitely the same one they use for their fish and chips. It didn't taste quite right with the chicken and it also came looking very pale in colour. They can definitely improve on their food.

Great vibe..... but dont eat here! Other than the food, lots of places to sit, great outside area, dog friendly if your dog is friendly, great drink specials $15 furphy jugs.Food is well below average. Come here for a drink, Dont eat here!!! They put pepper (not salt) on the chips which werent freshly cooked... we were there for dinner at 5pm when the kitchen opened. Had a view of the kitchen and did not see fresh chips being cooked, they had used the chips from the lunch service which ended at 2:30, 2 and a half hours earlier. Schnitzel was like what you would get out of a frozen dinner and was very oily. The side salad had lettuce which had gone rancid, red onions which were soft, wilted and brown (not by the balsamic but by being off). We saw the chef drop the mash potato out of the pot and put it back in, which then got served to the table next to us in the beef and Guinness pie Dont eat here, dont eat here, do not eat here! Go to Glenroy or Iron Duke or maccas!

Drag bingo was poor, jokes were offensive and host was boring. If the host didnt hit on the two single people in the establishment that she that was hot and played to the crowed I would have enjoyed myself more. But she didnt

Staff, security all quite friendly food pretty good for pub food havnt tried there full range yet though.

This pub has improved considerably... Great pub food, friendly staff and they now have gay bingo on Wed and pub trivia on Tuesday... My new local perhaps - awesome work!
