I knew when I was invited to a pub in Woollahra that the food would be good but the food and venue at The Woolahra Hotel are the best I have visited in 2022 - we are only halfway through the year and I am calling this the venue to beat, and I have already planned my return!! ????'???? ? ?? Recently renovated and almost restored to its original state and look from the 1930s it has old school opulence down pat. We were greeted and served cocktails and entrees downstairs in the bar and the manager discussed the renovations including the poured terrazzo floors, they are so bloody good!! The waitstaff was incredible, regularly checking in on us and seeing to our every need, then after the entrees, we were led upstairs to dine on the outdoor terrace.? ? And we were mind blown at such incredible dishes. ? ? ?? ???? ?? ??? ???? ?? ??? ?? ?????...? ? STEAMED SNAPPER FILLET with soy, ginger, shallot, chilli & coriander - it was so delicately crafted and a pure delight to eat, I have thought about it regularly since my visit.? ? ? The THAI GREEN CHICKEN with Thai eggplant, snake beans & baby corn was also marvellous and a beautiful winter curry and their BRAISED BEEF SHORT RIBS with pickled cucumber, Asian slaw, sambal mayo, and bao buns were the most tender ribs of all time - these are a favourite as you can load bao with them, but the fish won for me!? ? ?? And when the mains arrived the manager brought us a wine that would pair perfectly and based on him seeing us order whites downstairs, this was exceptional service beyond anything required.? ? ??? I am returning soon and you need to stop what you are doing and head on in soon for a divine night. I took so many venue shots that I will post them tomorrow as stories probably. Huge thanks to the venue and the The Mint Partners for organising this sublime experience.?

We went here for Mother's Day as we heard good things. The beef burger was really good as was the fried rice. The beef massaman could be better, the beef was a little tough and the flavour a bit bland.
The venue is really nice, traditional pub but with a modern renovation. Lots of seating areas with some cosy spots for groups. There is a lift to the upstairs dining for elderly or people with mobility difficulty.

I loved the vibe of the place on a Friday night. The interior upstairs is so refreshing. The quality of people is amazing. It feels more like a community. I did not actually eat but so many people in the group ordered dinner. The plates looked so good and I will definitely return to taste and share few photos.

Good pub for drinks and food. The food had a good range although the chicken katsu was similar to chicken schnitzel with a sweet sauce. The portions could be larger given the price. Chicken katsu was $28 and the beef burger $27.

Came here for an after dinner cocktail upstairs. Ordered a negroni that cost $24 and was literally the equivalent of an aperol spritz without the bubbles. Am ok to pay $24 for a cocktail if you know how to make it - so watery and weird tasting not sure how you can mess this up and charge top dollar.

Been here twice, once upstairs and once downstairs.
The cocktails downstairs are incredible, as are the nibbles. Staff were lovely too.
The food upstairs is great! Had the chicken burger and it wasn't greasy like some you get. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. On the expensive side but well worth it.

Very neat and modern new design of this pub makes you feel very relaxed . From very first moment you know you have found your perfect spot for a lazy long lunch on a Saturday afternoon.
The menu is very attractive.
Food that was brought out incredibly fast was sensational and just matched overall Fantastic experience in the pub bar.
Next time we will try the restaurant upstairs.

An extremely well thought out and prepared menu. This understated restaurant deserves a lot more attention than it gets. Very tasty food that does justice to the Sydney food scene.

A recent dining experience at the Woollahra Hotel was worthy of a 5-star review.

The recently refurbished front bar holds on to the amazing art decor style and heritage of the hotel which has been around since the 1930's.

Plenty of beers on tap and a team of exceptionally skilled bar staff who made some of the best cocktails I've had in a while, highly recommend trying the gimlet.

We moved up stairs to enjoy some of the Asian fusion dishes I had heard so much about. Chef Jordan and his team bring a highly elevated dining experience in a relaxed setting, the braised beef short rib and kingfish curry were the standout dishes of the night.

A big thank you to the friendly and attentive team that hosted us, I highly recommend you check out the Woollahra Hotel and all it has to offer.

This is a sexy Art Deco pub that has been super true to it's heritage and mixed their multi-floor offering with Jordan a high-profile Asian fusion chef. This venue has existed since the 1930's.

Spread over two stories, with multiple rooms, function areas, amazing lighting, a retractable roof and an amazing team of staff.

Honourable mentions to the friendly crew I met last night, you guys made our night.

The fish curry is a MUST

The Woollahra hotel is one of Sydney's best pubs. With its stunning interiors, sensational food and fantastic staff you are assured a great night. I had a milestone Birthday in the private dinning room which has a baby grand piano and it's own bathrooms. The amazing Kate coordinated my event to the last detail and ensured everything went without a hitch. The Asian banquet was delicious and the staff were efficient and friendly.

Delicious, really delicious banquet spread, for a reasonable price. Courtyard where we were seated was stylish and spacious - felt like an absolute treat to have our little work Christmas lunch there. Waiter was lovely - casual, friendly, super attentive without being imposing. It was a hot day, some fans in the courtyard would have been the cherry on top.
Will be coming back. :)

Unfortunately the food was not at usual Bistro Moncur standard. Perhaps some dishes do not travel well. Also for second time one of the dishes ordered was not in the parcel. Of course, this time I checked, and it was promptly provided.

Super nice pub. The upstairs outdoor area is lovely and sunny in summer and can close up for dreary days with some nice heaters. The staff(especially the lady manager) are always really friendly. The short rib bao and the malt xpa are top notch.

Great staff and a nice location on the terrace.
The food was interesting (pub menu with Asian twist) and good value.

The service was great - really friendly and efficient. The big surprise was the food! We shared salt & pepper calamari (which is generally always good) while the prawn dumplings were delicious. We also had the spanner crab betel leaf and they were divine.
My partner had a beef burger and said it was really nice. The green chicken curry I had was honestly the best I've ever tasted. As this isn't a Thai restaurant I was prepared for it to be ordinary, but it was absolutely scrumptious.
We will definitely be back as it's lovely to sit under the stars, especially when the food is so good.

Beautiful bar upstairs.
The young woman who served us was very capable, and made us a few rounds of excellent margaritas.
We had a few other drinks which were well presented. I had one glass of wine that I think might have been a bit passed it, though to be fair I didn't say anything either.
One of my friends had a lovely ocean trout sashimi dish which she enjoyed. I didn't try any food myself.
Decor is very nicely done; very upmarket and stylish.
All staff were professional. I would definitely go back.

Order some chips and calamari which were soo crispy and made just right. Outside area with the water spray was booked out so we sat inside. Staff were friendly

Fantastic food, service and venue. It's rare to find a place like this. Great for group bookings with a fair few private spaces. Will definitely be back. Thanks to Ashley for dropping a card on our first visit and Lauren for organising our xmas dinner for our team.

Solid burger and Thai green curry. The open courtyard area is lovely although can turn into a bit of a sauna on a hot day. Beer selection has room for improvement, but otherwise a decent pub

This is a BIG call but i'm doing it... BEST pub food in Sydney!!!The now Asian inspired menu is fantastic! Staff are friendly and venue i can't fault!
