30 July 23, had the special fish and chips for $15, great serving size with fresh salad and hot chips. Again another great ride day.

Yeah this is a great country pub. Ice cold Carlton draught after a hot days cherry picking hit all the right spots. It has a beaut covered outdoor beer garden at the front covered in grape vines.

Always a friendly atmosphere, great meals and reasonably quick too. A great country pub :)

Love to stroll through Wombat Seconds, never know what you might find. Then across the road to the Wombat Hotel for a cold beverage and a great meal.

We popped into the Wombat Hotel for lunch
Ordered the bbq ribs & Bangers & mash & a couple of drinks from the bar
Order taken quickly we sat at our table, enjoying our drinks & 5 minutes later our meals came out steam rising from both plates. Been a while since i had ribs, so impressed when the meat fell off the bone. The Bangers mash, onion gravy & veg was also delish, portion sizes were good, I didn't manage to clear my plate ?
Highly recommended if you're out that way ,(near Young NSW) pop in & give them a go, sure you won't be disappointed

Really nice people and a great local pub. I was there for a conference so can't comment on the restaurant food or the bar but if the sandwiches are anything to go by, the food is prepared with lots if care and attention.

Power or non with amenities & hot shower. Honesty payment at pub.
Very green when we stayed and allowed fire with wood supplied. Good for large groups.

Very clean and tidy pub. Food and beer were the best and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stop again. More beer's this arvo.

Great little country pub with a fair bit of character on the inside, as well as some great local characters up for a yarn on the outside!
The publican was friendly and obliging, if perhaps a little abrupt and rushed. Their selection of beers on tap is fairly average, but good enough. The meals are great value, however! Wednesday saw me getting their hump day special - a Rump Steak with bacon, egg and chips, plus a schooner of beer, for $20!
Their Wombat Burger for $15 also hit the spot - nothing fancy like Grill'd or one of those burger chains, but a big, tasty pub style burger with all the trimmings and house-made beef patty, served with chips on the side.
Plenty of large tables outside, as well as a good amount of seating inside.
Certainly worth a visit if you're in the area picking cherries (or for any other reason!) - a nice, quiet spot just off the Olympic Highway that deserves our support. Go and check out the junk shop across the road if you have time too! Never know what you'll find in there, it's absolutely chockers!
